The beef stew is to die for! Great little place and great service.

I had a really great night here. I was here a Friday night and the bar was really busy. I went here for drinks only, although you can also get something to eat. The music was a bit too loud, so me and my friend had to shout to be able to talk. But the place had a really good vibe and everyone in the bar seemed to have a really great time, which definitely made us have a better time as well. The atmosphere was really nice.

My husband and I stopped here to get a quick drink and snacks as we make our way around the city. The service wasn’t that great. The girl didn’t bring us plates, napkins, or silverware without us reminding her and she only brought us forks. She didn’t come back around so we could order another beer either. ORDERED: — shrimp — dates with goat cheese — portabella mushroom(never brought to Table) PROS: — tapas were tasty — beers were cold CONS: — service is awful — they have outdoor vinyl yellow seats that make ur legs either stick to them(if you have shorts on) or sweat to death in your pants. They are uncomfortable. — no plates, napkins, and when we asked for anything. She doesn’t didn’t come back.

It was good place for catching up with friends for a drink, but wasn’t really impressed with the food. The bar snacks«tapas» menu was fairly limited and not somewhere I’d consider eating again. The main course burger was dry and my chicken satay was dry and chewy… So great place for a drink, staff are helpful but they really need to improve their food!

There is a great selection of beers(I’d recommend Brugse Zot Blond), tasty tapas, a lively atmosphere and free wifi to top it off!

Tried the tapas at De Pilsvogel yesterday. Delicious! Everything we ordered came to our table very fast and tasted hot and great. We ordered: pan con salmon ahumado(really good!), chicken yaki tori(loved this one!), pan con tomate, Serrano and cheese(liked this one the least), meatballs in tomato sauce(tasty!), dates with goats cheese and bacon(one of my favs) and ofcourse some great patatas bravas. The prices were also very good! We had 6 tapas dishes and bread and it was around 38 euros for the food. And we were both very stuffed :)

Good place to have lunch if you are exploring the De Pijp neighborhood which is definitely worth seeing. The atmosphere here is cozy and not touristy, although the tourists do come to see the nearby Albert Cuyp Market. The cheese and ham toasti we had was good but nothing special. The tea was amazing, best rose tea I have ever had. Nice place to sit for a few hours soaking in the Amsterdam De Pijp neighborhood.
