Went for brunch here yesterday. Beside that inside is a little dark for a winter day, the staff and food is good. We asked for something that wasn’t in the menu and the staff did it without problems :)

Besides the staff being a little weird (it’s amsterdam, not even fair to pose that as a negative) what a gem this place was. We waited an hour and half because we simply arrived just after a huge group, but were settled with artfully chosen Belgian beers. The steak, coffee, beer, and ravioli was so good we didn’t care about waiting or paying more than usual. And that is rare

Flinck is a nice café-​bar in one of the busy streets of De Pijp. Great place to grab (sandwich) lunch or a coffee. Best around summer sitting outside and people watching.

Best burger in town. Nice bar atmosphere too. Service is a bit disinterested though. We found we always have to flag servers down but they were usually friendly once we get their attention.

Went to Café Flinck on a Sunday evening. It was a warm day so there were a lot of people sitting outside, but it was cooling off, so we opted to sit inside. There seemed to be only one person acting as the bartender/​waiter and someone cooking in the kitchen. This lack of staffing probably accounted for the poor experience we had.
The bartender/​waiter was running around trying to help everyone. When he brought us our order we tried to request additional drinks. He said we would need to go down to the bar to order the drinks. I had to walk down to the bar and wait for him to come to the bar and place the same order we had just given him…
I ordered the «Lady Burger.» It was was tasty, a bit dry, but it was filling! I can’t imagine how full I would have been if I had ordered the full size burger. The Chorizo Sausage appetizer was also very tasty.
Although the experience was not stellar, I will go back and give Flinck a second chance.

Flinck. A gezellig café set in a lively area in De Pijp. Service is good and the wine is always lovely.
This is my go-​to spot for Sunday afternoon relaxing.
Cold outside? No worries, their outdoor heaters will keep you nice and toasty.
Try the mushrooms and goat cheese appetizer — delicious!

I went here with my 3 euro lunch voucher that I got from the Unilocal On Fire Event earlier in December (thanks again, Unilocal!) and ordered a marinated chicken and aioli sandwich. When I received it, it was presented so much more beautifully than I had expected. The sandwich was open faced and covered with dark, moist chicken and really tangy aioli. I was really pleased with my order, as was my companion, who stole bites of my food between bites of his own gorgonzola and pear sandwich.
The drinks are standard A’dam café fare. Lots of beers, tea, coffee, wine and some alcoholic coffee drinks as well.
The location is very cool as well. So close to Albert Cuypmarkt, it’s a great place to stop after before or after shopping. In nice weather, there is a good amount of outdoor seating.
