Simple, yet delicious doughnuts. You can’t go wrong with a chocolate sprinkled doughnut.

I live nearby and have been past it many times, but finally stopped in last weekend. Seriously the best donuts I have ever had! Like the other reviews very light and fluffy with the perfect sweetness. I’m very traditional when it comes to donuts, I like the sugar and glazed, and the crumb donut is outstanding. My only small gripe is they don’t have any powdered sugar. Staff very friendly and genuine. Like I said before, they make very traditional donuts, if you’re looking for edgy flavors and presentation probably better off waiting 3 hours in the rain at the other donut place.

I wanted to update my review and add another star, because I’ve gone back to Coco a few times over the last few months, and I gotta say, I really, really love their signature Lavender donut. It’s light and fluffy, and the lavender glaze is sooooo good. This may be one of my fav donuts in Portland, next to the Tropical Dirty Wu at Pip’s. They also make a Lavender Latte that I tried the last time I went, and it was delicious. Again, the lavender was subtle, and not overwhelming at all. Nice and creamy — I would definitely get that again. Coco definitely deserves 5 stars — check them out if you love donuts!

I have been making my way around Portland’s donut scene and next up was coco donuts. There is a couple locations around Portland but I have hit this one up twice. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. But, long story short the donuts are generic and run of the mill. Don’t get me wrong the donuts are tasty but compared to the other places they don’t compare. Simple choices: old fashioned, sprinkle, maple bars, cream filled, jelly filled, frosted etc. The donuts are cheap $ 1-$ 2. I had the cinnamon mocha latte, it tasted more like milk and less like coffee. I also wish there was more cinnamon flavor. I love that they put a small donut hole on the top of each hot beverage. It’s such a nice simple touch. If you like the classics, this place is for you.(Their classics are good) If you like crazy concoctions, this place is not for you.

It was a very nice visit. Sadly not a lot of donuts were made and the spinach and sun dried pastry I got wasn’t warm at all. The lady that was working was quaint and easy to converse with which honestly made the whole experience better. Loved the décor, and would visit again. Also the coffee was amazing :)

We came in around 11 and most of the flavors were sold out but I snagged myself a maple bar. The dough is soft and the maple frosting was good. Overall a solid cheap donut. The lavender latte with soy milk was also delicious! Not too sweet and the perfect drink for a cold, wet day.

Best donuts in Portland. I usually get my Coco fix at the downtown location but it’s closed on Sundays(booooo), so I rode the bus thirty minutes to the Northeast location. Still amazing! So light and delicate and yummy. I’m addicted to the lavender glazed. Keep up the good work Coco Donuts!

So they are the best donuts and coffee in Portland or anywhere that I have had so far. Just wanted to say that since it has been awhile and I have more 0laces under my belt.

I am not a big donut person but their glazed buttermilk is hands down the best donut ever! Whether you’re a donut eater everyday or once in a blue moon, don’t go anywhere but here! They serve classic donuts and do them very well. They roast their own coffee too! The first time I enjoyed a really great donut and a great soy latte at the same time was here! Its hard to find a place doing both so well!

My friends and I walked by Coco Donuts on our way to dinner, we were wondering if it was good so I decided to stop in later that week when they were open. Sometimes, I just want an inexpensive cake donut not one of those expensive gourmet donut. The glazed old-fashioned donut at Coco Donut was satisfying and didn’t not break the bank. Oh! The iced mocha was excellent – probably my favourite in town. The layer technique, taste, and large chunk of ice that kept it cold but not dilute the flavor. Locations are a little out of the way for me, but the delicious drinks and no fuss donuts will keep me coming back.

I eat a lot of donuts and bake even more. These donuts light and fluffy and super tasty(not as dense as Dot or Blue Star donuts, i guess similar to Krispy Kremes in fluffiness). Wish they had more flavor selection, but maybe they do earlier in the day(it’s 1:15pm now). The inside of the shop felt a bit dirty(I want to find the perfect donut shop experience and have only come close at Frost donuts in Mill Creek, WA) But my hubby LOVED being able to sit and watch the traffic.

I am obsessed with their lavender donuts. And lavender hot chocolate. These are a serious indulgence becuase they are within walking distance of my office. The lavender frosted is like… It’s like mouth heaven. The dough is soft and flaky. The taste is not too strong. Perfection. The hot chocolate is a little stronger and maybe too much chocolate. I’m not a super fan of that. Hands down best doughnut in town. Just writing this review is making me salivate. The only beef I have is that they sometimes run out of lavender frosted at this location. Like, say what?! You should make thousands a day. Thousands! There is nothing like the sadness of no lavender donut when you want one. I wanted to rate them lower for this transgression, but honestly… I’m not really that mad. I love their weird credit card swipe system and there no nonsense décor. It’s like get in, get your donut, and gtfo.

My friend and I visited Portland last week, and while waiting for a ZipCar at 8am, wandered down Broadway. I’m so glad we did, because we found Coco Donuts! Having tasted several other cold brews in the city, Coco’s was by far the best. The large ice cubes were appreciated and lasted for hours [which prevented the drink from getting watery]. And the donuts shined! My absolute favorite flavor was the maple old fashioned. A little crunch on the outside, and soft cake on the inside. I also really enjoyed the lavender. We came back 2 more times that week! It made for a memorable experience, and we felt like we had found something special [vs. going to touristy places]. We’ll be back again soon!

Coco Donuts is just about perfect. The donuts are super fresh, elegantly simple masterpieces. They have that perfect airy texture to them so you don’t feel like your stomach is full of rocks after eating just one, but you definitely know you’re eating a donut. Great variety of classic flavors without being overwhelming, and a few unusual choices(e.g. lavender) when you want to be adventurous. The hand-crafted beverages are superb — I love that the coffee comes with a little glazed donut hole on the lid. The fiancé and I discovered the lavender hot chocolate today; it’s an intriguing(and pleasant!) flavor experience you’ve got to try at least once in your life. Finally, the décor is so welcoming. The place is appealingly clean and uncluttered, but still homey. The only drawback is the limited number of seats. Luckily, we live close enough that we can take our treasures to go and just as happily enjoy them in our living room. Definitely check this place out– your life will surely be happier for it.

The kindest, chill, and friendly shops in town. Donuts are 100x’s better then Voodoo and it doesn’t look like a homeless man decorated the insides. The people are so friendly and talk about great customer service. Love the interior, loved the donates, and loved the service. 5 stars across the board. Oh and good coffee too.
