This place is pretty good! $ 17 for a fill; I think that’s the cheapest I’ve found in the area; They really listen to what you want and work efficiently

I’ve been coming here for past 10 yrs. I absolutely love Kevin & Lannie (owners). They are creative and fun. The spa is immaculate. Prices very affordable.
Lannie has also tattooed both my eyebrows and eyeliner. I just love them

Pros– Reasonable prices, nice paint job on nails, huge inside and parking without so probably always room for anybody. Nice hand massage
Cons– Fume smell inside really really intense. During manicure, my person answered the phone several times. Not much attention paid to cuticles.

A little upset about getting a manicure here, I assume it’s because it was an hour before, but if you didn’t want to fulfill my needs as a customer and rush out as soon as the salon closed then just don’t hook me at all. I would say I had better experiences as client else where. They said they gave a discount if you used cash but was it just me or did they forget my $ 2.00. I just felt like this place lacks customer service especially for coming in on time for my appointment. If y’all didn’t want to give me wonderful service then don’t pencil me in at all. I won’t be coming back & FYI, I didn’t see that they cleaned the tools. No autoclave here! Don’t get me started with the hand massage, like the lady just peeled my gel nail polish off from my natural nails, who in the world does that?
Obviously lotus nail salon employees. I usually get them off with acetone so they don’t peel my natural Nails off. I was upset but needed my nails done that day. Unfortunately I will not be coming back to lotus nail spa any time soon.

I like to come here when I can’t go to my regular salon. Decently priced (discounts if you pay cash and are a student) and the massage is longer than other places. I recommend booking with Tammy or Linda.

I only get my manis and pedis at Lotus now. Longest lasting and best quality at an unbeatable price. They also have 5% discount for paying in cash, students, and seniors. You seriously can’t beat that. I refuse to go anywhere else.

Good message, but that’s it. The place wasn’t the cleanest.
I called and made an appointment for a mani pedi and I went in for mani pedi, and it took them over an hour and a half to do my nails. Only one women worked on my feet and hands while 5 other employees sat there and talking and playing on their phones. When I asked her if another worker could do my nails while she finished doing my toe nails, the women just looked at me confused. I tried to explain several times but she didn’t understand me. Also I paid before my nails before they were done but once they were finished they asked me if I paid for my manicure and I tried to explain how I already paid, she had to have another worker, who spoke English better, tell me that was the only the price for my toes. I was very irritated because I came in for a mani pedi and said that several times so I don’t know why they told me it was only $ 25 initially when it costs $ 35. This place is walking distance from where I live but I’m never going back.

For pedicures I give the Lotus Spa a perfect ‘10’. Love the relaxing chair massage, the pedicure is always done very well and thoroughly, and they always massage your feet and lower legs — all for $ 25 if you pay cash and bring your own pedi kit. I purchased my pedi kit for $ 5 from them the first time and use that. Really recommend them — I have yet to be dissatisfied and have been going here for over a year.

Kevin gave me a full acrylic set, fashion length, oval shape with pale pink finish. Good customer service, quality set. Student and cash discounts. Was charged for files I never received and my right thumbnail is a bit wonky other than that, fabulous!

I really really love my individual eyelashes extension done by Lannie. Looking super cool and natural on my eyes makes me feel very confident and very comfortable with a light make up… so I am ready for a week of Hawaii Vacation

My wife and daughter just got a pedicure here and they really enjoyed the experience. Great customer service and a very nice job on the pedicure itself. They were also very kind and accommodating with our 4 year old.

This place doesn’t have a great selection for solar colors but they did a great job the 1 time I went here. And they r open on Sunday, yay! :)

Loved this place! I decided to get a last minute manicure. I walked right in and sat right down!

I love this place! I come here once or twice a month to get gel polish manicures and pedicures. They always do a great job!
The staff is super nice and they keep the shop clean and tidy.

I wanted to get my nails done right before my wedding and, since I’m from out of town, I didn’t know where to go. I saw a bunch of nail salons on Broadway on Unilocal,so I literally had my fiancé (now husband) drive down Broadway and drop me off at the first nail salon I saw where there was room to pull the rental car over.
They got me in right away as a walk-​in, which was cool. The nail tech didn’t speak much English. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, which was an ombré french manicure. I asked if she was able to that, and she said yes. I tried to asked a few different ways to explain that I wanted that subtle ombré, not a harsh french tip line, and she kept saying yes, she could do that.
She started the manicure, and I told her I didn’t want my cuticles cut. She said okay, then preceded to snip my cuticles and cut my finger wide open twice (she cut it once, I tried to jerk my hand away, she grabbed it, and cut it open again before I could get my hand away and tell her to stop). «Oh, sorry.» Hrrmphrmmm.
Once the bleeding slowed down, she did my shellac which, as I suspected might happen, was just a standard french tip. Oh, well. There was too much of a language barrier to try to explain it again.
While the manicure was not what I wanted, it did look nice (minus the bloodied finger). And it lasted almost a month. Aside from the nail growth, it was perfect and chip-​free for almost four solid weeks of rough wear.
So there’s the good and bad of it. No English, didn’t do what I asked, and she cut the $#!& out of my finger, but the manicure looked really nice and lasted a super long time.

In the middle of a pedicure, they started another persons pedicure. Very unprofessional and extremely annoying. If you can’t complete one job don’t start another. Happy I live in NY where salons value a thorough complete job and work to have satisfied customers… If you do go, try to get the guy technician.

Oh I love these people so much. They are talented, sweet and make your experience so wonderful. I personally do not understand why they aren’t much more busy. There is never a wait, whereas other places down the street are SO busy that they completely rush through your manicure.
They always take their time and give you added extras (extra long massage, hot towel, beverage). I love them!

Two years later I am still going here and still bringing friends and they all universally say that this is the best local pedicure. The people here are lovely and kind and nice. The deluxe is $ 35 and has a massage, salt scrub, paraffin wax, and shoulder pillow. And they have those awesome mechanical massage chairs.

I am definitely not sorry I went. I’m just planning to continue my quest for «my» nail salon in PDX. Coming from California, I’m used to a lot of really good, fairly inexpensive options. After several months in Oakland, I’m downright spoiled. My mani-​pedi at Lotus was fine.
Good things include: relaxing music, long and careful (10 min) leg massage, good massage chair, my Big Apple Red OPI color, and free ‘n’ easy street parking. Students and seniors get 5% off. Accepts credit cards, but another 5% off if you pay cash.
Things that could be improved: more experienced nail tech, less staff lounging in the massage chairs, more chip-​resistant manicure technique.
