Decent sandwich but nothing great. If you are in a small group, even with two or three people, expect slow service. They will have workers just standing while customers in your group wait for the one worker to get to you. Annoying.

I came on the big UCLA/USC game day and expected the line to be out the door. I got lucky and went just before the rush. The full team of employees did a great job handling customers and moving the line along. My chicken salad wrap was crafted nicely and the ingredients were fresh. Employees were also friendly and helpful.

I like togos, i go there 3 times a week… But i feel as though the new workers dont go through any kind of training… Every Time im in line, i pray to the togos gods that i dont get a new worker… They always manage to ruin the sandwich/wrap in some new sort of way that the previous worker hadn’t managed to yet. Yesterday, they cut my sandwich in half, or so he thought, he used this large knife and only cut about 60% of my sandwich. Oh perfect, lemme grab my large sandwich knife that i happen to carry in my back pocket at all times incase anyone else needs their sandwich cut. But i had to separate it with my hands, and then it became a hot mess… Go get the fork, cuz thats how i have to eat half of my sandwich now. Today they cut my wrap at such a bad angle that the moment i started to separate the 2 pieces, all the content decided to jump out. I ordered a wrap to eat with my hands, something i thought i could do, but today i had to bring out the fork again. Dont get me wrong, i like the food, i really do. Its just the workers, i personally think that they need to make themselves sandwiches first, see what complaints they have about themselves, then fix it for the actual customers coming in.

If you don’t live in the area but are going to a USC football game, this is a great place to stop. Service is fine and so is the food. The turkey avocado is a solid sandwich. Plus before you make the long walk to the Coliseum, their bathroom comes in handy.

I had the pastrami(#9)… It was terrible! The pastrami was dry, like it had been microwaved too many times. I will not go back!

Didn’t really like it. I had sandwiches for a couple or three times since i work nearby, then i just removed it from my list of options … Once the bread was not fresh, you know how your sandwich tastes when the bread is not freshly baked, yaak … And one time the pastrami was weirdly reheated, so it wasn’t fresh either … And the sitting in is not that nice, very compact and not perfectly clean … The staff is friendly though

Usually quick service, and great value specials. Standard sandwich shop, the California original. Wednesday is Italian sub day — 6 bucks with a drink.

I’ve ate here a few times and I fell in love with their Chicken Salad Sandwich. They also have good pastrami. The staff there are nice and they don’t bullshit you with the meat. I like that. They also have a pretty good broccoli cheddar soup. They should have more varieties though. Overall, good job!

The subs here are decent. They aren’t anything special. To be honest, I think Subway is better. First of all they don’t have very many options in terms of ingredients. They have fewer meats and veggies and even sauces. The pastrami sandwich was really good, but didn’t taste very fresh. I feel like I can make a better tasting sub that’s more fresh. Second, the environment wasn’t very welcoming. The employees had a poor attitude and weren’t very happy. They kept on talking to each other very loudly. Also, the restaurant itself is very small and there was no music playing so it was eerily quiet. Lastly the prices are very high. It’s most likely due to its location near USC but a six inch sandwich runs between $ 5-$ 8. It’s worth a try but don’t expect anything more than a cafeteria sandwich/sub.

Not so great location(cause you’re in the hood) but the staff here are top notch. They deal with SUPER long lines at lunch and work really hard to get everyone in and out in a timely manner. You can order online and have it ready when you get there which is usually the way to go at lunch time because of how busy this joint is. The employees here make this TOGO’s worth a try… enjoy!

There is a reason why Henry Ford revolutionized the world with his assembly line system — because it’s fast and it works. There is also a reason why several sit down fast food restaurants, such as Chipotle and Subway, have followed suit. But I’ll let you guess this one. All I could think about when I was waiting in line was how inefficient(and therefore slow) the service was. Employees were running into each other while getting ingredients and making several sandwiches, the cashier was just going around taking cards — maybe it works for them, but for me, it just seemed like an unnecessary mess of a system. I wasn’t in the mood for anything particularly special, so I opted for the albacore tuna sandwich on wheat bread, which was pretty good. The ingredients were fresh, and they gave a generous amount of everything. Probably won’t be my go-to for sandwiches, but since I live right down the street, it’s nice to know I have a solid option. I also didn’t know that if you check in on Unilocal, you get a free soda, so don’t forget! Funny story: when I asked worker if the sandwich was a tuna salad sandwich, he looked at me as if I were crazy and said, «No, the albacore tuna is a sandwich, not a salad.» What?!

In a nutshell: Chain sandwich shop west of USC. This Togo’s has been here for years. I stopped coming a while ago because it always took them FOREVER to make sandwiches. Recently, I came back and things are a lot better. Sandwiches are made quicker, and there are more staff handling customers. Very happy with the recent changes. Best thing on the menu right now: The Cuban. Bomb.

I really never have problems here just like any chain restaurant, seating and parking are the worst in the same lot with a bank and grocery store

This is the second time I placed my order online and it was not ready at the pick up time. I even allowed 10 minutes extra since it has happened to me before. Their response was: «Sorry we didn’t see that the order came in. It comes in as fax and no one got it. Next time call before coming to pick up your order.» That’s not acceptable if your business is set up for online ordering!

I like the fact that this location is near USC so the crowd is semi decent. The staff was more helpful and receptive than previous visits which is a plus for me. The quality of the food was good. Also, when you check in here you get a free soft drink, can’t beat that right?

This place is pretty darn good. I usually get the whole honey oat wheat bread with roast beef and pepper jack cheese and veggies. I even get it on days that it’s not under the special ;), that’s how you know it’s good. Just be ready to wait in line for a bit around 1 pm, other than that, friendly staff and good food for a cheap price.

Subway may be ubiquitous but Togo’s is better. I’ve only been to three different Togo’s but this is the best one. This place does so much business that everything is fresh. They know how to prioritize because of the high volume so that you get in and out quickly. You cannot beat their daily specials. I once made the mistake of ordering the BBQ pulled pork and their dip sandwich and I did not like it all. It didn’t taste as good as the special usually does. When I don’t want a sandwich, I get the Asian chicken salad but instead of it on iceberg, I ask for it on romaine. What a world of difference. The romaine enriches the flavor of the salad whereas the iceberg cheapens it. Staff is friendly and quick but finding parking among the horrible drivers that seem to congregate in this lot may be a bit of a challenge.

My first time trying togos was a few days ago at this location. Right by USC making it a convientent walk. The first time I came here I ordered the toasted pastrami sandwich. Our sandiwch had a good pastrami to bread ratio. Service was good, but the guy who made my sandwich forgot the cheese… My second experience here, we ordered the classic pastrami on sourdough large. The girl making our sandwich forgot the pepperconies and looked extremely unpleasant and annoyed that we mentioned it to her. Also, where was all the pastrami??? Our sandwich was mostly bread with very little meat. Maybe they should standardize their meat portions. Very inconsistent. Apparently I’m not the only one on Unilocal who has the same complaints. Tasty sandwiches. Poor service. Would consider going to a different location.
