What a sham! If you like overpriced, flavorless sandwiches than Seeds is the place for you! The constant long lines and the poor, rushed service is definitely a turn off. Not to mention the ingredients used in the sandwiches lack in flavor and freshness. Every time I eat at Seeds I walk away unnourished and regretful. And don’t even get me started on the salads! The warm food section is better than the sandwich and salad bars, but portions are small and definitely not equal to what you will be paying. I must say, Seeds Market does have a decently diverse snack and drink selection. Need a yogurt, banana or bag of chips on the go? If you have time to brave the long lines then head on down to Seeds. Just make sure to stay away from the salad and sandwich bar at all cost.

3.0 stars. Honestly, pretty much all the food in Seeds is delicious!(And healthier-ish.) In particular, I love the salmon and breakfast burritos. If this rating were based solely on the food, I’d probably rate it 4.3 stars. But alas, the downside is that everything in here is soooo darn overpriced. It’s hard on us poor students with major loans. :/

Extremely overpriced for what you get. The only decently priced item is the breakfast burrito… that’s where the one star comes in. Other than that, you’re better off going to Fresh and Easy or anywhere else.

OK so it’s good. #2 panini is great BUT THECHICKENISALWAYSPINK Please, for the love of God, stop undercooking your chicken. It’s gross. No one likes pink chicken. I even have to ask them to put it on the grill before they put it in my panini so that I don’t feel like I’m eating chicken that could possibly harvest salmonella.

This is a pretty good spot on USC campus for homecooked food and healthy eats, including fresh fruits to save yourself a trip to the grocery store. There’s a breakfast station at the front to get a sandwich or burrito to start your day, tons of bottled cold drinks, and a rotisserie station in the back. The rotisserie chicken meals come with half a chicken and two sides for around $ 9, which is an excellent value for some hearty fare. The sides include hot vegetables like broccoli or green beans, mashed potato and macaroni ‘n’ cheese. A pound of Driscoll’s strawberries costs $ 4.99, which is only about a dollar more than a full grocery store. 10 percent discount for USC students but not staff.

Breakfast bar is great at Seeds! I really enjoy their options for breakfast burritos, oatmeal, and traditional breakfast. Turkey sausage, bacon, or vegetarian. Also their tortillas are really good and toasty when they warm them up(spinach, tomato, wheat, and flour). Cage free eggs, egg whites, etc.

Let’s go to the USC campus center, well what do we have here? Panda Express? It makes me too tired, nope. Verde? Really tasty but it has few options, it gets old, nope. Habit? Great burgers but the lines take about 20 minutes usually, nope. CPK? No line because no one goes there because it takes too long to cook everything, nope. Lemonade? Hmm maybe, the food is really tasty, oh wait, $ 7 for a tiny piece of fish? Nope. Seeds? Do they have healthy food such as salads, salmon and chicken? That’s affirmative. Do they have variety? That’s affirmative. Then YES!!! Seeds is my favorite campus center option. They have five food stations(salad, sandwich, chicken/salmon, sushi and ice cream). Plus they have so much on the shelves! Looking for chips? Check seeds. Looking for almonds? Check seeds. Looking for energy drinks? Again, check seeds! Sidenote: The ice cream is especially amazing! I am from San Francisco and in SF, we know how good organic ice cream is! Thanks to the student government for urging the administration to show LA good ice cream. Their food is fresh, tasty and there are so many options. So why does it get four stars? One answer, the money! Since Seeds is the only place on campus to get all these items and it has such healthy food, they know this so up go the prices! A box of strawberries here costs $ 4, a salad is $ 9. The prices aren’t ridiculous as they are in lemonade but still a little higher than I would usually pay for lunch. Also, I feel sleepy after eating the chicken and some of their portions are smallish. But when I am ready for some yummy food and am okay with longish lines(but still shorter than Habit or CPK,) I head right over to seeds.

I give it a four. This was actually my first time getting breakfast here as well as pastries. Came super early in the morning, probably around 7:30 to get breakfast and pastries for studying. The line went quick for us but I know this place gets packed. I like Seeds though. While prices are higher it’s convenient if you do live on campus or are up super early for class or studying. They’ve got a small little market, some cold sandwiches, you can order hot sides/sandwiches, desserts and pastries and drinks. I tried their croissant sandwhich, definitely not for the health conscious mind. It was so greasy and buttery, but made me so happy to eat. I bought two muffins for breakfast and snack over the next 48 hours. I’ve nibbled on both and they’re yummy. Prices are meh, it could be worse but I enjoy the food and I’m not big on eating on campus so it’s a treat. I’ll be back to try their sandwiches eventually and perhaps their gelato! Service was friendly all around. It’s a solid 4 stars for me. :)

Seeds is one of my default options for food on USC’s campus. Although it is slightly overpriced, you get more food for the price than other places on campus. The lines are almost guaranteed to be long, but they move pretty quickly and it’s worth the wait. The salads and sandwiches are very filling, and I usually save half for a later time. I would recommend the southwestern salad on romaine lettuce, the cobb sandwich, and I’ve recently become a huge fan of their chicken chorizo breakfasts burritos(try it on a spinach tortilla!). They also have an amazing Earl grey tea ice cream if you’re looking for a sweet treat! I don’t think it’s worth paying for overpriced snacks/drinks/fruit at Seeds, but I would definitely recommend

Listen, almost all of the food on campus is overpriced, and that’s no different at Seeds, so unless you’re willing to venture off-campus during lunch, you’re just gonna have to suck it up. Also, the lines are super long during prime hours, but they move really fast thanks to the friendly and efficient staff. That being said, at least what you’re paying for is unfailingly delicious and probably healthy. Seeds has a great variety of food — salad bar, sandwich bar, regular«cafeteria» meal each day, sushi, stir-fry-ish station, and tons of snacks — there’s really something for everyone here. My favorites here are the Pear & Gorgonzola salad(try it on kale!), the Cobb salad, the BTLA, the Turkey pesto, and the Caprese — all of the ingredients are really fresh and nothing ever comes out soggy or gross. I’m especially impressed with the cheese, veggies, and bread they use.(The chicken at the salad station is sometimes questionable…) You really do get quality food. The workers are also really nice about letting you customize. Definitely a great lunch/dinner option for anyone passing through campus!

Seeds is the healthiest food option on campus, but the long waits and relatively high prices make it a good choice only when necessary to eat on campus. Seeds offers fresh salads, sandwiches, a rotisserie and sushi, but it gets old rather quickly. I love getting the Mediterranean salad and the BBQ tofu sandwich, but not too often since it costs about $ 10 without a snack or drink. They also have delicious ice cream– try the earl grey ice cream, you won’t regret it! Seeds also has a small, extremely overpriced market with chips and cookies, mostly. They also have kosher and vegan options in the fridge in the back. If you’re not already on USC campus, don’t seek out Seeds. But if you’re on campus, Seeds is one of the healthiest options.

A very solid lunch/breakfast/dinner spot on campus! Don’t be discouraged by the long(extremely long) lines during prime hours – it moves SUPERFAST! Everything is expensive, but that’s expected. The salad bar and sandwich bars are great and if you get there for breakfast it’s even better! The only thing I don’t like about the salad/sandwich stations is the chicken – its some kind of weird processed chicken. they could definitely step that up. Other than that, it’s really good, fresh, and delicious.

Seeds is both great and terrible. Greatness: they have a wide variety of stuff to choose from. Generally mostly everything is really fresh and ranges from good-great. You can get anything from salads, parfaits, salmon, mac and cheese, pastries, ice cream, paninis, etc and generally it’s allll good. Terrible; they are absurdly priced, almost on Lemonades level. Seriously, $ 7.99 for JUST a sandwich? No student discount? A meal with a side snack may set you back at least $ 13 – 15. Are you kidding me? On top of that, they pretty much pay these employees the bare minimum, so service is borderline rude. Lines get ridiculously long and it doesn’t matter to the employees. I can’t give it less than 3 stars because the food is good but everything else about it pretty much sucks.

I didn’t expect anything special from the sandwich line, but I was very pleasantly surprised by my Mediterranean sandwich: the feta was indeed«thickly» sliced and generously placed, and they didn’t skimp on the veggies or hummus, either. Though every combination is pre-set, they’re pretty flexible about putting a sandwich on different bread or switching ingredients up from time to time. I finished up with the FIGHTON ice cream, which was cuter than it was tasty, but I’m not complaining much.

I’m definitely a fan of their delicious and fresh Pear and Gorgonzola Salad! Spring greens tossed with sweet, crisp slices of pear, savory gorgonzola cheese, crunchy candied walnuts, and a champagne vinaigrette makes one perfect salad. $ 8 for one giant bowl isn’t bad, either.

Mm… that breakfast burrito got me energized and full for my Monday! I’m surprised I only just discovered this gem on campus. Yes, it’s pretty overpriced. Yes, it’s hella crowded. But if you want a variety of refreshing options for a meal and just happen to have Dining Dollars as part of your meal plan, then this place is absolutely worth it. 1. Breakfast — Get the burrito. It’s big, hearty and delicious. One lasts me the entire day! 2. Southwestern Chicken Salad is bomb! Chunky pieces of chicken tossed with a mix of greens, avocado, corn, pepper, and more with a jalepeno ranch dressing. It’s my definite fave. of the salads. The pre-made sandwiches and salads are all pretty basic though, so you’re better off waiting in line for something prepared fresh and easy(har har). I have yet to try their rotisserie chicken and mac n’ cheese, but that’s definitely on my to-eat list. Say no to EVK and come on over to Seeds.

I wasn’t expecting the Grilled BBQ Tofu Sandwich to be as tasty as it was. But it totally hit the spot! Slices of BBQ tofu, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, avocado(yummm avocado!), and veganaise on whole wheat was the best thing I ate that day. I felt that the price was reasonable at $ 7+. Let’s just say that I’d be willing to swing by USC just to eat it again. Pretty legit vegan option on campus! In addition to having a vegan item on their menu, the marketplace has a specialty diets section with snacks and pre-packaged meals. Although it’s a small section, it’s nice to have those alternatives.

What’s that you say? Overpriced? Um, compared to what else on campus? If you want inexpensive, explain why you’re at one of the most expensive schools in the nation again?! What’s that you say? Crowded at lunch time? Um, compared to what else on campus. If you wanted«empty,» explain why you’re at one of the largest private schools in the world again?! What’s that you say? The staff didn’t recognize the fact that you are a Very Important Student who is totally entitled to be treated like some sort of Alderaanean Princess. Wait in that long line you’re bitching about behind all the other Galactic Princesses attending USC. If there’s a better alternative on-campus I haven’t found it yet. The staff is friendly and efficient, the food is varied and well-made(including tons of Kosher and vegan options!), and I haven’t gotten sick of it yet(I’m looking at you, Habit Grill), so I’d say this place is pretty awesome.

I really can’t be mad at Seeds. Yes, all the to-go items are ridiculously over-priced. Yes, the customized salads are so large that it is pretty unhealthy to eat it in one sitting. Yes, the lines during lunch are so long that they will encourage you to bring your own meal so you don’t spend half your break in line. However, Seeds has the Panini #2 and the Cobb Sandwich. For these two reasons, I can’t be mad at the hustle. These two sandwiches are mouth-watering. The Cobb Sandwich is self-explanatory, but the Panini# 2 includes chicken breast, mozzarella, pesto basil, garlic aioli, roman tomatoes, and balsamic vinaigrette on focaccia bread. Yes, both sandwiches are on the expensive side — $ 8.00 with no side or drink — but they are made with quality ingredients, and you get to chat with the friendly staff while they make it. Just for the simple fact that I can pick up the Panini# 2 and the Cobb Sandwich, Seeds will always have a special place in my heart.

It is one of the healthier choices at USC. It’s incredibly packed during rush hour, imagine all the hungry students vulgering around pre-packed food. They have a good variety of pre-made salad, fruit cups, yogurt parfait, sandwiches. It is a bit pricier for the content. The warm, cooked dish of the day is the true star. The seared salmon, which I hate to say taste a lot like the frozen ones you can buy from supermarket, is $ 9 without any sides. Yea, I think that’s quite some charge, even for a private school. Their cups cakes – not worth the calories. Ice cream is quite delish, hmm hmmm. over all, it’s more like a 3.5. Never able to find a good spot to sit down and enjoy your over priced lunch, made the decision easy.
