Was craving Thai and so excited when I saw this food truck outside my work in DTLA. They charged me $ 10 for a shrimp Pad Thai, which I thought was pretty steep but I don’t mind spending money on quality food. I waited about 15 minutes for my order even though there was only one order before me. I got my food, sat down, and was so sorely disappointed when I opened the box. The serving size was so small. It looked like an appetizer and was basically white in color with a hint of orange. The noodles were soggy and tasteless. I had to ask for lime and chili powder to add some flavor to it. Conclusion: 1. Expensive 2. Long wait 3. Tasteless I definitely won’t be back.

Saw the lunch truck in my hood in Covina in a high school. Let me tell you first of they are very expensive and my wife and I were there only one there it took about 20 minute for our order a few high school kids ordering Thai Ice Tea. We order fried rice, pad see eew, egg roll and Thai Basil unbelievable when I got home it usually chicken not ground beef and no egg on top of my rice with this dish remarkable upsetting. The food is very bland no taste at all this is your typical Thai dish very simple to make. But only could wonder if the they are using the correct ingredients back there. If I could give it a Zero I would unfortunately Unilocal would not. My recommendation is for you amateur to get your act together and go back to the drawing board and figure out how to cook and get the taste correct and restart again. The lady back there cooking is an Amateur Cook and needs to get her act together that all I have to say, The End.

This truck was at USC’s HSC campus today and we had the worst experience. We were expecting the food to be quick considering only a few people were waiting for food. However, we ended up waiting over 35 minutes for our food. It was ridiculous. The food also was probably the worst thai food I have ever had. For $ 9, the portion was probably only 2⁄3 the size of normal thai restaurants. The beef was extremely hard and tendony. I was pretty disappointed considering how long we had to wait for our food. There was one lady who was taking orders and only one other lady cooking the food. It wasn’t very efficient considering there was about 5 minutes when both of them weren’t doing anything to solve an issue they were having. My friends tried their pad thai as well and were really disappointed in the food as well. Their thai tea wasn’t bad but, for $ 3 for a small cup, it was pretty pricey!

I wish I had read these reviews before stumbling upon this truck on my way back from the Boba Truck at lunch today. It looked so promising and there were no lines, although now I know why. $ 9 later I had the most subpar pad see ew I’ve ever had in my life. It was something I felt I could make better at home myself. The meat(pork) was dry and the dominating flavor of the dish was mostly soy sauce(typical of Americanized Asian food). My friend ordered their spring rolls(fried egg rolls) and she said they were way too salty. I would NOT recommend this food truck unless you’re extremely desperate for a non-asian version of Thai food. Two thumbs down. I want my money back.

Ordered the yellow curry with chicken. The flavor was off and the consistency of the chicken was off. Also the food took about 20 to 25 minutes to come out. Reading some of the other Unilocal reviews and I realized I should have stayed away. Hopefully it doesn’t make me sick.

First and last time I’ll ever come to this truck. In the mood for soup, I ordered a small Tom Kha Gai with chicken. Figure this can’t take too long right? Wrong. I waited about 25 minutes!!! Unacceptable. On top the fact that my soup had 0 chicken. Not a single piece. If I could give negative stars, I would. Don’t go to this truck.

Well, I have to say I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews first! Thai Thai was at our apartment community last night and we loved it. We ordered the yellow curry, pad thai and spring rolls. Total = $ 24. Ready in less than 10 minutes. The pad thai was really good — more savory than sweet. The spring rolls were bomb. I would eat here again.

Not good. The weird soup that was separating and was a non authentic Tom Kha Gai is in my belly as I type. Now I’m concerned as I read the other negative reviews. Damn… I really wish i didn’t eat that soup. Pray for me. Don’t eat here.

Chicken Pad Thai= 1⁄3 chicken, 2⁄3 tofu. Pretty dry, decent flavor after we added sesame teriyaki sauce. I won’t go any further

Not sure if I’ve ever come across a slower service from a food truck, with the most subpar food that I’ve bought from any food establishment. The quantity is pathetic, quality is bad, and they take their glorious old time to get an order out. Highly NOT recommended.

Pretty tasty food, but plan on waiting around 20 minutes. I had the Thai tea(excellent) and the drunken noodles(pretty good). The menu was confusing, like two pictures of Pad Thai on the menu with no explanation as to why they are different. Hint: different noodles, but don’t ask me to tell you which is which. Overall solid bet.

I wish I had taken a picture, but the chicken in my pad thai was undoubtedly undercooked. It was still slimy and inedible, so I ended up paying $ 8 and waiting 20 minutes just to eat some noodles with a ton of bean sprouts. The flavor of the noodles was decent, but the wait time couple with the fact that I couldn’t eat the only substantive part of the meal means I would never go here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

«B» food rating on a food truck which is always a little scary. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai and spring rolls(wasn’t about to get shrimp with a food truck with a B food rating!). Really wanted to like this truck as I love supporting food trucks and love Thai food but this unfortunately dissapointed big time. Waited around 10 – 15 mins for the food, truck did have menus with pictures which was helpful. Spring rolls were OK, pretty standard. The Pad Thai, however, lacked flavor and was basically just soggy noodles with chunks of dark meat chicken.

So I don’t know about the other review on here. But they have some damn good food here. We wanted to just try the basics abd see how it was, so we ordered some beef fried rice and a thai iced tea. The fried rice was pretty damn good. They added a nice twist to it with a little bit if like added to it. And the iced tea, oh don’t get me started on that. All freshed brewed and is seriously the best thai iced tea I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some great thai food on the go.

This is one dirty truck. I was going to order here but just in time I noticed their(illegally) obstructed C grade… disgusting. These people clearly don’t care about cleanliness and ill trust my gut to just about anywhere else.
