This was an amazing meal. Fresh, high quality sushi and very reasonable prices. Great spot for a quick bite too thanks to the belt. They also offer 10% off your bill if you’re seeing a movie next door!

Best sushi place. Staff is nice, food is consistently good and reasonable prices. We probably ate there over hundred times.

I gave this place another try recently at the recommendation of a friend who convinced me that saving 10% with my movie ticket made it worth it. My initial visit years ago was so mediocre that I had actually forgotten I had already dined here, thankfully Unilocal helps me keep track. I really love conveyor belt sushi and wanted to have a better experience since I am always in North Gate and in need of food. Sadly my experience was pretty similar. This place is small, I would think that with such a large movie theater next door it would need more space but there are a variety of other eating places nearby. Parking here is very easy in the garage which is one of the few things this place does have going for it. We had to wait quite awhile to be seated and the service was pretty mediocre. I wanted to order a few items off the menu, it took forever to get the servers attention, then the food took forever to come and was quite expensive. I did enjoy the Inari sushi. I also like anywhere that gives you unlimited wasabi and ginger. My friends seemed to enjoy their cheesecake and it was easy enough to split the bill. For most of my meal I spent my time thinking about how much I prefer other conveyor belt sushi places. I longed for the blue light above the table that I could switch on to get my servers attention. I probably won’t return for another 5 years after I again forget that I am not a fan.

This is the best conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Seattle. The sushi chefs never overstock the belt, which means you can trust the fish on the belt is fresh(and delicious)! The sushi rice is perfectly seasoned and the prices here are really good, too! The staff have always been very kind, but I take off a star because they are frequently understaffed during their busiest hours, which adds time when waiting for a seat or for the bill. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves to eat Japanese-style sushi. If you don’t care for raw fish, then you may find just as much satisfaction at places that cater more to the American palate, but the cooked options here are delicious, too!

Tengu is one of my favorite conveyor belt sushi places to eat. The prices are fair, the portions aren’t too large, and the service is great. I spend a lot of time in Japan to visit family and miss the quality of food there, especially when it comes to sushi. While Tengu doesn’t necessarily capture the magic of Japanese cuisine, it comes very close. Something that sets this place apart from other conveyor belt sushi places is the quality of their appetizers. We had kara age(Japanese fried chicken) and fried squid. Both were cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. They keep your tea full and ordering is very easy with the wait staff. If you’re around this place give it a shot, it’s rarely overcrowded and decent sized place. Parking is also ample in the adjacent lots or the mall next door.

I love coming here during lunch for sushi! It’s walking distance from my work, therefore going here for sushi craving becomes easier! The food item prices are decent, but the fishes are all cut thick! So if you’re worried about your rice intake, you will get more fish with your sushi in this place!

I’m writing this while still under the sushi-induced comma. Ooh man, this was by far the best sushi I’ve had in a looooooooooooooooooooooong long time. Fresh, clean, fresh and good value for the quality, and fresh again. On our way out I noticed that you can buy discounted movie tickets and ALSO get a 10% discount if you bring your movie ticket stub! Whaaaaaaat?!? That’s cray cray yo. Food highlights: grilled salmon cheek and belly platter, fatty tuna, ooh the sweet sweet scallops… heavenly, umm ooh! the calamari, how could I forget the calamari… mmmmm… Yellow tail, and last but not least saaaaaalmon, I love me salmon. Thank you so much Sato-san(the most awesome sushi chef I’ve seen, with swagger-limp and all) thank you for making this rainy day into a wonderful, sushi-filled day. Your most grateful customer, –Cesar, the sushi eating monster.

Not an amazing amount of options. The temperature of the sushi made me think they’ve been hanging out on the conveyor belt too long. I mean, it was fun and ate it but would i go back? Nah Also, def made me wanna shit my soul out after.

Pretty darn good here. Tasty menu items, food comes quick(on conveyer belt), and most of the good items are reasonably priced. Only a couple small beefs that are bringing the score down so much. First, service is kinda strange. Either they see you and help you right when you need it, or you’re hoping that someone walks by your isolated corner. Find a good spot where people can see you will make your experience way better. My final beef is the cleanliness of the conveyer belt. It is kinda dusty, making me want to cover my food whenever I grab a new item. It’s very unappetizing.

Prices for sushi grows exponentially as the quality of fish quality improves. Sushi tengu is a nice middle ground between super cheap sushi land and break the bank shiros. For quality to price ratio, 5 stars

I finally tried Tengu after living in Seattle for 3 years and I was pretty disappointed. The sushi was not very appetizing and may have been sitting on the belt for hours. I would say that this place is better than Sushi Maru across the street at the mall, but I would MUCH rather pay a little more to go to Blue C Sushi or Genki Sushi. As for the service, they are SOSLOW. I’m not sure if I just went at a bad time, but it seemed like they only had one server. She never came around to ask if we wanted to order anything or to refill our waters unless I raised my hand to grab her attention. A couple good things about this restaurant is that you can get discounted movie tickets if you eat here and there’s a free parking lot under the theater. However, I probably won’t be returning here because I left feeling very unsatisfied.

They have very good rainbow rolls. Fishes are fairly fresh and they have very yummy texture. Love chewing and feeling the food in my mouth. In my opinion, Tengu is best conveyor belt sushi in the area. I have been to other conveyor belt sushi places but I think this place has the best quality among them. Price is good too! Defiantly revisiting when I can! :D

It’s a little dim inside and smells of oil(from the tempura, I assume) but the service is friendly, atmosphere is quiet and clean, prices are OK and the sushi is decent. The plates are generally pretty small, but it’s nice because then you can try multiple items without ending up with more than you can eat. Parking can be a hassle– the park and ride lot is usually full, the spaces in front of the restaurant are 30-minute only, but there is a free garage beneath the movie theater.

So I went here with some friends who wanted to go. Love my friends to death, but didn’t fall in love with this place. The one thing I did like A LOT was the green tea cheesecake. The sushi was ok. They did have some rolls that I usually don’t see at other conveyor belt sushi places, but they didnt wow me either. To be honest, I’d much rather go to Sushiland. Service was fine. I’m pretty sure I wont be going back unless I have a big craving for green tea cheesecake.

While this place is certainly on the pricier end of conveyor belt sushi restaurants, it may be one of my favorites. Their rolls are pretty good but I would recommend checking out their nigiri sushi. The belt regularly carries medium fatty tuna(chutoro), salmon belly and so forth. These are rarer offerings at other conveyor belt sushi places. If you ask for them, they even often have fatty tuna(otoro) and uni(sea urchin). Like everyone has recommended, get their seared salmon! Oh man. I’ve been doing research on buying a blowtorch because a quick sear does magic to salmon. They also add a salty mayo-like sauce on top of the seared salmon so I’d recommend holding on the soy sauce for your first bite and decide from there if it even needs anything else. Less often recommended on Unilocal but also worth trying is their seared scallop. The natural sweetness of the scallop with a little bit of sear is toe curlingly good! Service has sometimes been good and sometimes bad. Bad only because it’s slow not because I’ve had rude service or anything like that. Most of the time, they seem eager to get around to you but I think sometimes they’re simply understaffed. The quality of the food is great though and makes up for anything I might nitpick about the restaurant. Overall, I know I’ll be back here!

Decent spot to stop at for a quick sushi fix. It’s not going to be cheap though, but it’s sushi after all. Conveniently located right next to the movie theater at Northgate. I have never waited for a table, but I also have never gone during busy weekend dinner rush time. Last time I went, it was a Monday or Tuesday night for dinner. The restaurant was probably 70% full so we were seated immediately. The sushi chefs made sushi quickly, so the belt always felt full of options. But service was slow which I didn’t really understand because there’s not much serving requirements at a sushi restaurant. My friend and I ordered it two hot menu items, and we made it through like 75% of our meal before the plates even came out. One of the plates was served just above room temperature. Their unagi is delicious, their green tea cheesecake is also good though I didn’t have at this time. The edamame was room temperature. Make sure you watch the plate colors when you take them off the belt. We spent over $ 30ea for our meals, which included two sodas. Unfortunately they charge you by the can so there are no free refills… For that amount of money, I would’ve rather just made the drive to downtown and eaten gourmet. But I would maybe come back next time I had a sushi fix just because it’s so convenient.

This place is pretty good if your looking for sushi. Everything moves to you on the conveyor belt. Flavor of the food is good. I really liked the avacado rolls. Good price for the quality of the food. Tea was very hot, but that’s the way I like tea. Overall I would go again if i’m in the area and have a hankering for sushi.

The Hubs and I go here before or after practically every movie we see at Thornton Regal – usually twice a month. It’s a great place for fast, affordable, good sushi off of a conveyor belt. Our favorites are the Salmon Skin Roll, Salmon and Avocado Roll, Avocado Roll, and Yellowtail Nigiri. Also, the servers are friendly and efficient and we like hearing them speak Japanese to each other and the sushi chefs. Our only complaint is that sometimes the kitchen is a little slow with the made-to-order hot dishes. The Chicken Teriyaki is quite good though.

Told to wait for party of 2 even tho half the place is empty… O_o. Not very good quality or service. The sushi did not taste very good. We got edamame and it was cold. The salmon skin roll tasted fishy and odd. Service only came once for tea and that’s it. Overall not impressed and wouldn’t recommend it.

I often find myself in this neighborhood but someone never came here. Conveyor belt sushi does the trick sometimes but I wish it would move faster. When I went in, they weren’t terribly busy which is good and bad. Sometimes having too few people eating will limit your choices. I like that they have prices on the wall that correspond to the color of the plate. Additionally, like other conveyor belts spots, you can order some things off the menu like chicken karaage and a variety of other dishes. I had some rolls and nigiri. The dragon roll is not the best I’ve had but was prepared as expected. The spicy tuna and spicy salmon were good. The ahi was had good color, texture, and appropriate marbling. The crunchy rolls were crisp outside and tender inside. Staff members were friendly, efficient, and accommodating. Overall, it was decent and the price was right. For under $ 20, two of us ate comfortably.
