It’s not often that give such a high rating to a fast food restaurant. I have to say this is my most favorite Subway of all time in North Seattle. Employees are friendly. Food is great Experience over the last several years Outstanding!

Hopefully I will be update this in the coming weeks. Let me stress that an experience should have a positive outcome to deserve a good rating. If you walk out pissed or upset, and management/employee doesn’t apologize or trying and correct it, then they deserve a negative rating. 1. Meat Substitution. After subbing turkey in lieu of ham on a breakfast sandwich I was charged«double meat» despite not receiving said quantity. Let me stress that I’ve been to numerous subways and each time I ask the to make me the sandwich on the board they ask me what I want on it. So this is an example where the staff needs to be better educated, to explain to the customer upfront what cannot be added /subtracted. 2. Customer Service. I was almost charged $ 6 for a sandwich that was $ 4.50, simply because I substituted a primary ingredient. I wasn’t asking for extra. I was asking for something like what was included. Instead of being complicit I was met with an argument. 3. Overall experience. What started as a positive experience quickly devolved at the end. I walked out upset and disappointed that I had to negotiate for my sandwich. If you aren’t someone who tolerates an argumentative staff member, then I advise you look at other locations.

Sparkling clean Subway! Very nice employee was working alone and he did a great job. He communicated well. Only con is that the bread wasn’t made that day. The ends were hard as a rock at the last 2 inches. Great location, right by the Northgate Mall and movie theatre. Parking is a pain in the behind though, but you can park for free at the mall or use the underground garage. Food: 3 Service: 4 Parking: 4 Ambiance: 2

Let me start off by saying I hate subway. I hate the idea of subway. I hate that it’s a franchise, I hate its stupid colors, I hate it. But they have cheap, quick eats and I will occasionally break down and eat at one of their locations because I need quick sustenance and my body doesn’t feel like I have clogged arteries afterwards like at, say, McDonalds. With that said, I can say that I genuinely feel like this location makes a pretty damn good Subway sandwich, as good as can be made by a franchise of any mammoth company. Their location is always very clean and the guy serving is always friendly, and I never have to ask him 6 or 8 times«may I please have a little more spinach, no a little more, and some more…» Because he loads on the veggies, not just putting on a leaf or shred incrementally at a time. And they take care to space out the meat and cheese correctly(I mean seriously, I shouldn’t even have to say that as a positive thing at any sandwich making place, but 85% of the 20 or so Subways I’ve been to apparently lack this basic skill). And they put sauce on a little at a time without drowning the sandwich, which is sooo much better than just simply making the sub the vehicle for the sauce to your mouth, and they will put more if you ask for more which is exactly the way it should be. Price is the same as any Subway not in a tourist area or a stadium. Ambience: 3(very clean and spacious) Service: 5(much friendlier/better sandwich builders than expected at a Subway) Taste: 3(I would say a 3 for any Subway) Price: 3 Bottom Line: 3.5. I don’t feel like any subway can really get above a 3 in taste/service/price, but bump up to 5 because I think this place goes above and beyond what I expect from a Subway, and although they literally can’t change the taste or the menu, they do the best they can with what they have and I definitely don’t think they deserve the bad reviews. If you like Subway, come to this one if you want a well made sandwich!

If there could be zero stars for a review, thats what I would give this subway. The only positive thing I saw about the subway is that its clean. First experience was having the man(who works every day during the days) help me, he barely gave me ANY of the things I asked for, in fact, I had to ask for more spinach because he litterally gave me five leaves of spinach, just enough to make the sandwich look like it may or may not have spinach on it. Secondly I couldn’t understand him, which honestly doesn’t normally bother me, but when he didn’t run his credit card machine properly, he yelled at me. fine, I can even get past that, but then he threw my sandwich on the counter towards me and threw my receipt at me and walked into the back. Whoa… Second experience, hoping maybe he just had an off day, this is really close to my work, so I came back. Negatvie– he was still the same unfriendly, rude guy as the time before, still got my sandwich thrown, still jipped me on my sandwich toppings. I won’t ever go here again. What terrible service, and clearly an unhappy worker/owner.

Alright, so I might be a little biased since I had just walked out from the very disappointing visit to the sushi place next door, but the guy working was very nice and he indulged our urge to get a kids meal without giving us a weird look or a bad time. And the food tasted good and fresh. It’s a Subway! It you want a good and cheap sandwich, you know where to go!

I totally love going to Subway because there is nothing I love more than ordering a sandwich to go and have to go home to add condiments because they RAN out. Seriously… I order sandwiches at Subway usually because I’m on the go and only have time to eat something quick. The person working there got out 3 tiny squirts of mayo on a foot long before announcing they just had no more mayo at all(at 2 p.m. on a Saturday). She offered light mayo as a substitute but I declined. Guess I’m a mayo snob but I don’t think my expectations are that high(like that they actually have condiments in stock)

This Subway seems to have improved a bit since I first visited a few months ago. Then the bread seemed underbaked and the toppings were scant(a footlong sandwich needs more than 8 olives). Now, the toppings aren’t as plentiful as other Subways, but they give more than they used to. There does seem to be a quick turnaround with employees. All in all, it is a Subway.

I am not happy with this place at all. Went here with a friend before seeing a movie to grab a quick, cheap dinner. The woman behind the counter did not speak English well and it was very difficult to converse with her regarding the sandwich as well as wanting a cup for water. My sandwich was made correctly, but I had to ask multiple times for a few of the items. Prior to making our sandwiches, she was helping the couple in front of us. While making the sandwiches, the buzzer went off indicating that the cookies were done. She pulled the cookies out and placed the rack on top of a whole bunch of bread that had been recently pulled out of the oven. Not on the rack above… ON the bread. I watched as the bread slowly proceeded to smash completely flat under the weight of the cookie tray. Well, those loaves would have to be tossed out — doubt they were though. ANYWAY, when my sandwich was finished, she rang me up and I paid. About halfway through eating my sandwich, I realized that the price seemed rather high for my 6″ veggie sub. I checked the receipt and realized she charged me for a turkey, not a veggie. It’s not a huge price difference, but at least around $ 0.75 — $ 1.00. Needless to say, I was pissed. I never had a chance to talk to her about it because there were other people in line the rest of the time we were there. I will not come back to this location.

I dislike Subway. Every time I come here I promise myself that I’ll never come back. Oh how I lament my time here. The sandwiches are fine. But I hate the whole process of getting a sandwich: Slow line. Order food. What bread? We only have 2 kinds available now. What did you want again? Oh that’s right. Etc. The process takes 20 minutes. Meanwhile I’m standing there like a fool watching the whole time. When you order food at a deli do you usually stand over the worker at every step? No – you order your food, you sit down and they tell you when it’s ready. Subway used to be simple, so the process only took a few minutes. But now with all the choices in bread and all the toasting and all the extras, it takes way longer a few minutes. Why can’t I just write down my order and sit down? Why do I have to stand there watching every step? Ack.

They got my order right.(I don’t see how they could have gotten it wrong since I stood there and directed them.) The place was clean, as were the guys behind the counter. Standard Subway fare, tasty but not gourmet. I’ll try the Subway in the mall next week for a comparison.

If they had a –5 star rating i’d give it to them. IF you love having your order wrong everytime and like the smell of whatever the guys are smoking that day then this is your spot. ask anyone who lives in the building how bad they are and they will tell you. If you are going to the movies do yourself a favor and walk across the street to the subway in the mall.
