I have a love-hate relationship with Sub Master. Because it’s literally a block away from work, I find myself traipsing down there for sandwiches when I am tired of going to Northgate Mall for, well, another round of Ivar’s Seafood(mmm, fried fatty fish). Don’t expect Quizno’s-like deliciousness, but they do have some tasty hot panini and decent cold sandwiches. They do charge quite a bit for a glorified brown-bag sandwich, and a meal will cost you $ 10 easily and might possibly not fully satisfy you, as my stomach is often dragged away still grumpy. Waiting time can suck since they generally have only two employees operating the place, but everyone there is really sweet and accommodating even if they do not speak the best English. Lots of variety, and they even have a frequent customer card for those that go there often. Eat 10 full-sized, half-sized subs, or bubble tea milkshakes and get #11 of the same item for free! In conclusion: love because it’s not mall food, hate because it’s a bit overpriced and probably about as tasty as a sandwich made at home with some extra effort.

The food is good, no question about that. They have your standard sandwiches along with many hot sandies that have flare. The draw back was the the price, $ 7 or $ 8 for a large sandwich is just over the top. I won’t be back.
