the wait time is about 30 mins on a sunday but so worth the wait. the portions are major and the atmosphere is non pretentious though definitely packed and noisy. the vegetable frittata i ordered was so delicious. the hash-browns were great, and the bacon was sizzling. a bit pricey but the plate was overflowing with food and it’s good to treat yourself. the staff is friendly. i’ll be back definitely.

Here’s why Glo deserves 5 stars: Open until 4:00am Serves every drunk carnivores dream Serves every drink vegans dream(avocado a’top greasy overcooked hash browns) Fast service On the regular, I don’t know about this spot being the ideal brunch location or even the — my parents are in town gotta take them to breakfast — location. But. I assume, that’s not the target audience of this local. Soo, Glo. I give you 5 stars for: being open until 4am. Being around the corner from my apartment. For being fast, friendly and greasy. Which, in all honestly, is all anyone really expects from a diner. Am I wrong?

Love love love this place. It’s the best brunch food. Try the coffee cake — so good. I come here atleast once a week if not more depending on time. This place is packed always and there’s a wait. But it’s worth it.

Long line but it is worth of wait. Price is very reasonable compared to other brunch place. Pesto Omelette is my top choice. Other than that, Salmon Egg Benedict. California Egg Benedict makes you little gag if you can’t handle too much yolk and avocado combo.

Good place for breakfast or brunch when it’s not overly packed. The salmon was very fresh and delicious on the salmon eggs Benny. Hollandaise sauce was pretty good I got it on the side so it wouldn’t be drenched and it was good not writing home about it though. Pretty good potatoes but not great. Glo’s is good and I will go back if it’s easy but it’s usually packed.

Easily my favorite place to get breakfast in town. The food is delicious and well portioned. Waitstaff is friendly. Food turn around is quick, even when it is slammed. Be warned, it is very popular so if you’re not here before 9 on a weekend be prepared to wait 20 min. But don’t worry, they give you a cup of coffee while you wait.

Small place but the food is yummy! We ordered the salmon Benedict & the signature scramble. Both were really good, & the hash browns are the best around. I hate greasy tasteless shredded potatoes, but theirs was awesome. My eggs were poached perfectly, not an easy task. Appreciated the fact that nothing tasted commercialized. I didn’t have to add salt to anything, an indicator that they season their food, yay! We will return!

Old country western music, local country feel. I feel like I’m back in nebraska in a small town café. Smaller space with 11 tables and about 32 max capacity. It’s all about the bennys baby! Get the regular eggs bendict and you won’t be disappointed. Friendly service and good location on capital hill.

It’s such a pity because the service is horrible despite the good food. I have absolutely no complaints about the food; in fact, the Glo’s original omelette is one of the best omelette’s I’ve tasted. Sadly, the service here is beyond bad. First, they don’t let their customers wait inside and insisted that we stand outside in the freezing weather. Once we were seated, our server took longer to take our order than it did for us to finish our entire meal. It seemed like he had zero sense of urgency and proceeded to do less pressing things like walking around filling people’s full water cups, sipping on his own cup of coffee and checking up on earlier customers instead of taking our order. It wasn’t just our table because I noticed that every new party was just as annoyed. Another waiter had the grumpiest face the entire time and made it seem like everyone in the restaurant was a burden. I know why Glo’s has such a poor rating now. Great food, but I don’t think the horrible service is worth it.

First breakfast in Seattle. My Benedict was good, not great. The bf thoroughly enjoyed his smoked salmon benedict, because nothing says Seattle like salmon. Service was good. Location is ideal. Classic American breakfast joint décor.

Vegetarian review: Plan to wait. They do allow you to call in and put your name on the wait list though. It’s worth it if you have the time. Everything I’ve eaten nails it. As a vegetarian I can vouch for some of the best vegetarian biscuits and gravy anywhere. The hashbrowns are always cooked perfectly with a bit of seasoning. I judge most breakfast places on their hashbrowns and they do them right for me. The black bean omelette is also worthy. Sweet dishes are consistently good as well. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and service is always friendly and fast once seated.

Loved the salmon eggs benedict here! I also got fruit and it was an awesome spread with raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, and some slices of banana, grapefruit, and orange. Yes, there can be a long wait and yes, the restaurant is very small and you’ll have to wait outside but I found the service to be excellent and the food was delicious!

The food here is really good and pretty fast once you order. Only one gripe: The servers seem fairly slow and disorganized at taking orders. Sometimes I call in orders over the phone and they ask me to hold on and sometimes I hear them chatting with one another about random things while I am waiting to place my order. Also, when I come in for a carry out order, I let them know and they go do other things and chat with one another until finally getting ready to take my order. This only wastes a few minutes of my time, but I would prefer they take my order right away and get it submitted to the cooks so I am not standing around in the small door area or waiting outside in the rain for any longer than I have to. Generally I recommend this place just be prepared to wait even if the servers are not really doing much of anything or it’s not really busy.

This is my go to basic breakfast spot. I know I can count on their eggs benny time and time again. I will branch out with breakfast, but if eggs benny is on the menu, 9 out of 10 times, that’s what I’m ordering. I’ve tried their smoked salmon benny, Californian benny, and just the classic. The one thing that always gets me is that they serve HASHBROWNS. It’s such a rarity to see shredded potatoes cooked to crispy perfection on a flattop. I love all potatoes, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes you just get tired of those home fries/cubed potatoes/non hash browns. They’re just never crispy enough. But I digress. I love going with other people because I get my usual, they get theirs and there is usually a plate we get to share. That way I’m not stuck with something I don’t like. And because I always want a savoury breakfast, but just a bite or two of sweet. And I love that they have a seasonal menu. We got the pumpkin French toast stuffed with cranberry compote and cream cheese with pecans and it was good. And the other ladies got biscuits and gravy and the hash. Both ladies were happy with their choices. Only downside? It’s a small place. If you don’t get there early enough on a weekend, plan to wait outside.

Glo’s is a Seattle favorite. I like it… my wife loves it so we are here more often than I would choose necessarily. I don’t like the outside wait, or the tightly packed inside. The food is why I always say yes. Their food… is amazing. The service is friendly albeit slow at times. Have the Eggs Benedict(Erin’s favorite and she’s a big judge of this dish). If you are on this side of town definitely give it a try. It’s a staple… so I’m told.

I visited Seattle for a total of two mornings, we ate at Glo’s both mornings, despite having to wait. Why is this place so fantastic? 1) Homemade waffle batter 2) They are open during the wee hours of the weekend nights/mornings 3) Friendly Service 4) Crazily innovative specials — like stuffed pumpkin spice french toast. I’m shocked I didn’t write a review years ago.

This place is solid. Great breakfast food, good drip coffee, it’s exactly what I wanted it to be! Try any of the Benedict’s and you won’t be disappointed!

Yesterday I got Glo’s for breakfast to go. They said 20 minutes which was perfect! When we arrived there seemed to be a line out the door. Not surprised for a Saturday morning. I ordered the cinnamon-swirl french toast with hash browns on the side. My lunch date got the California Eggs Benedict. The english muffin was crispy. The hollandaise was well seasoned and creamy. The hash browns were my favorite part about this meal. I feel like usually when you buy hash browns to-go the condensation in the box makes them soggy. But these were perfect! So crispy and had the perfect amount of salt. The french toast was also delicious I didn’t even need to add butter. We got ketchup and syrup in the bag. If this was so good to go I can only imagine how yummy it would be actually eating there which I plan to do in the near future.

Hipster breakfast spot with painfully slow service and overrated food. The food is good but not worth waiting more than 30 min for. Weekends be prepared to wait 45min-1hr at least. Its a small spot that can get busy and I have a lot of patience. However I worked in the industry for over 7 years and there’s a difference between being busy and not taking the initiative. My table(thats right in front of you) has been sitting with our menus closed for 10 minutes(menus closed = ready to order) and you’re standing there chatting with your coworker. Another time I came here we were ignored for 15 minutes. I get how it feels when you’re hella busy but a simple acknowledgement and just saying«I’ll be right with you» takes 1 second and is so appreciated at the very least. Food takes awhile as well but since its a small kitchen thats understandable for some cases. I’ve given this place several shots since its always been suggested as a breakfast spot to go to with friends and each time although portions are great and the food is okay I just didn’t feel its worth the wait. I’ve been here during a slow time when there was only 2 other tables and the service was still not very attentive. I’ve been told this place is often called«Slo’s» for a reason and because of the service I shouldn’t expect any. It’s too bad because I appreciate smaller local diner spots. In short, I just wouldn’t make this place a destination.

This place is small and kind of claustrophobic inside but just what the Dr. Ordered after a late night out and feeling a bit fuzzy around the edges. We strolled down at about 2pm hungry and ready for some serious brunch and coffee. Wound up waiting about 15 minutes and got seated in the corner and served waters and coffee right away. I don’t eat pancakes too often but when I do I want them to be exactly like you see here in this picture. No fuss no muss. It’s a diner atmosphere with hustle bustle all around –the young servers were all very nice and attentive I must say I felt way better walking out than I did walking in = successful late brunch outing!
