Had an order of the Pina Colada(~$ 3): slush drink with pineapple & coconut flavors. Food was delicious, staff was shy, and the ambiance was distinct.

I’m a boba loving cat. Growing up in San Francisco, boba has a special place in my heart. Whenever I travel around the bay, I always get excited to try new boba places. This time, I found myself in the Martinez area and boba hut was recommended to me. Boba hut is a tiny little place. Tucked away in a parking lot, a bit hard to know of its existence unless you heard about it from someone else. A few tables, small kitchen. Everything seemed pretty simple. Simple can be good right? I decided to order a coffee slush while my partner ordered a pineapple slush. It is a good thing we came in when we did, as shortly after ordering, a mass of college students swarmed the place. Seems this place is pretty popular! Our drinks were made quickly and we gave it a taste. WOW!: D I have had lots of boba slush drinks before from many different places, but I can honestly say without a doubt, the drinks we had here are the best I have ever had. The tapioca was so smooth and sweet, not like any i have ever had before. The drink was perfectly blended with no ic, e chunks. It was totally smooth! There was no «stuck boba and ice chunks» you get at other places like quickly or teaway. Completely smooth and delicious. Both me and my partner agreed that this was the best boba drinks we have ever had, and we will definitely be coming back when we can. HIGHLY recommended and both paws up for boba hut! ^ ^ *chirp!*

Ordered a curry chicken — there is a one star for the rice, otherwise the chicken is disastrous. Looking at the picture how their curry should look like– mine looks terrible, dont speak about vegetable. However, I expected that since it is cheap looking place aimed on boba drinks. For the food– look for a different place. Staff is nice(second star).

Ordered: jasmine green milk tea boba and the pork donburi. boba is great! Texture and sweetness of the boba are awesome. The milk tea isn’t super sweet(which I prefer) but you can tell it’s all pre — made mixes. Food is filling, but nothing to rage about. I’ll try ordering something else next time Free wifi! Food and boba were ready super fast. The worker was like a robot though. No emotions. Barely spoke Overall I really came for the boba and it is some of the best I’ve had in a while.

Boba hut is a nice, cozy café hidden away at the corner of a shopping center across DVC. The café is decorated with an explosion of hello kitty and pink. They offer a small menu of drinks and food. Although the menu is small, I think the quality of the drinks trumps Quickly. I ordered their boba hut milk tea with tapioca. The tapioca was perfectly chewy. The milk tea was not too sweet and not watery. I look forward to trying their food some time.

Was in the area craving boba but unwilling to go to Quicklys and stumbled upon this place from my fellow Unilocalers! Order: jasmine green milk tea with boba Price wise: ~3.25(give or take a few quarters I cant remember the exact price) Milk tea: YUM. Some places are too sweet, not creamy enough, watered down or too bitter. This place was great. Boba: one of the Unilocalers said it was one of the best and I have to say that yes, they are pretty good. There is a certain kind of chewiness I expect! I dont want rubbery, breakable boba but soft, chewy boba. Its a standard that is hard to explain. But I reallllly enjoyed chewing my boba here. The interior was decked out in Hello Kitty and was cluttered with lots of trinkets and paper which doesnt really bother me because I usually dont stick around after I get my drink. I recommend!

Awesome place! Much better than Quicklys. Right by DVC and convenient. Huge parking lot, you might have to park a row away, but it’s only a few steps more. Drinks are great, they don’t overload on ice. I always get Lychee green tea with Lychee jelly. They give plenty of jelly so I even have some left when I’m done with the drink! Great service, the cashier(owner?) was very sweet and was patient with me. Food looks great and seems to be popular, will try it next time I go. Tldr; great drinks, nice service, definitely try it. One of the better boba place in the area.

Nice little place across the street from DVC. Whenever I am in the need of a pick me up, I stop by to grab a small bite to eat and some boba. Food is pretty good. I love unagi, and it’s rare to see places offering it as an option on their menu, and having them prepare it properly. Minus a star for being small, and often being packed by students from DVC.

The taro milk tea that I ordered didn’t have any distinct qualities that would keep me a returning customer. Unfortunately there was more milk than taro which made for an unbalanced taste. In the end, I wish that more boba places, including Boba Hut, would use fresh ingredients rather than powders and syrups. I would pay $ 2-$ 3 more for a well made drink with wholesome and fresh ingredients. But for an ordinary drink, this place will do.

What a lovely little store. I am a regular at this tea shop and it has never failed to impress me. The drinks are all very tasty, and I have tasted quite a few of them. I am obsessed with the jasmine green milk tea and, if you wanna skip the milk, the pineapple green tea is a wonderful treat. I love the boba(the round black jelly balls) but i think that may be an aquired taste, so don’t get a lot the first time. These drinks are also for the mosy part sweet drinks so if you don’t like sweet things, you may be walking down the wrong alley. Service is a little checked out, but overall this is a wonderful place to hangout and relax with friends while sipping on some tasty tea.

Easy but limited parking located next to DVC. On the day I went the cashier seemed like they weren’t having a good day therefore they were a bit rude and rushy. I ordered the standard milk tea with pearls. The milk tea was a bit too creamy for me and the pearls tasted like it was cooked a few hours ago so they were a bit tough. To fix this I would soak some pearls in honey or a thick sugar liquid to prevent it from being tough and at the same time from being overly watery. Overall its a mediocre place that I will give it another chance. Hopefully the service would be better next time around.

My favorite local spot for bubble tea! I come about once a week and the owner is always there, so respectful and i love how she brings me my drink and hands it to me. The tapioca is always fresh and just the right amount of chewiness.

Great place for boba in the area(there aren’t too many). I wish it was here when I was attending DVC, but it’s a shame that the little plaza is a ghost town. Super cheap prices, less than $ 2.50 for a drink w/pearls. I’ll take it over quicklys any day. Super short hours is the only downside

Now that I’m going to school at Diablo Valley College(across the street). I notice there is 2 places(Quickly’s and here) to get my milk tea drink which I’m ADDICTED to. I recently came here to try it out between my breaks and I just love them. Sort of hidden, but once you get there, its really cute area. Lots of pictures what they make and so much hello kitty items. Which I love too. They do make a better meal variety and quality than Quickly’s. Same prices as Quickly’s. I will defiantly come here before and after my classes. XD

I make it my mission to try Boba everywhere I go, and the BF and I were really looking forward to trying this place out. Minus four stars for never answering their phone during their business hours. We were out of towners & this place was really hard to find so we had to settle for Quickly’s which is supposedly down the street from here.

I found out about this place when I was browsing the reviews on the Quicklys Unilocal page and I saw the«people who viewed this also viewed» section with Boba hut under it. I was like«Whhaaa?! Another boba place just steps away from DVC? How come I didn’t know about this?!» Yeah, I lurv boba. I came here after class on a Thursday rnd 3:45pm – wasn’t busy at all. There were only 2 customers. I’m guessing not everybody knows about this place because it is hidden at the end of the ‘strip’ mall/plaza(or whatev’s you call it) bc Quicklys usually have quite a few ppl there whenever I go after class. This place has a menu on the wall and a bunch of littler menus posted on the counter. It took me forever to order because I was browsing back and forth between the menus(I’m so indecisive). It felt a little awkward because the employee lady was just standing at the register, staring at me, waiting to order. She must of been like«Will this asian girl hurry up!», but no, she was nice :) I ended up ordering the Jasmine green milk tea w/large boba. Came out to $ 2.99. The milk tea was good, but man… the boba? AMAZEBALLS! The perfect consistency, hands down best I ever had. Chewy yet soft. The employee lady made my drink hella fast! Like before I could pull out my cash(CASHONLY btw)! I would definitely come back here to try their other dranks and food/dessert. Their prices are pretty reasonable and the café is quite cute & asian. PS– They only had instant ramen noodles in the display case, no desserts as pictured on their Unilocal page –___–

I just stopped by here today. It’s a cozy little spot to get some boba and other Asian dishes. I got the taro flavor and it was average, yet yummy. When I came at about 6:00PM on a Monday there was no one there. I wonder if it gets busy on the weekends or when DVC classes get out. The lady working seemed nice. It smelled Asian inside. I would come back sometime and try out another boba flavor and maybe some food.

This is a cute little boba place across from DVC. It has a reasonable variety of different milk teas, choice of small or large boba, and food. CASHONLY. Their milk tea is good. Nothing really special, but decent if you just want to quench your thai tea or regular milk tea thirst. The food is ok. They have snacks and main dishes, which aren’t that impressive. A lot of the time when I’ve ordered food the meat was a bit salty. I just have to say that I love the interior. It’s so cute! I love the Hello Kitty decals on the walls. The service is pretty friendly also. They bring your order to you instead of yourself just picking up it up at the counter, which I really appreciate. Overall, I think that this is a nice little boba shop. It’s a good alternative to Quickley’s if you’re in the area, and don’t mind their more limited menu.
