The Lobby Court – Bonaventure Hotel

I frequent this hotel and bar inside once or twice a month. I love it here. I had the salmon today with a pesto sauce with sautéed asparagus and carrots and washed it down with a kettle one vodka and grapefruit juice. YESSSS. Westin Bonaventure is the way to go.

Great place to meet someone for coffee or a drink. They have Starbucks! I have not tried their food yet but it looks good. It is refreshing to be somewhere where there is a mix of people and not just one social group. This feels like how a metropolitan city should feel which is often a hard thing to find in Los Angeles. I have no idea why the Bonaventure isn’t on Unilocal,considering there is also a bar at the top level (with a bit of a kitch feel to it, oddly enough and also seems to be mostly hotel guests) that actually moves in a circle around the building. Maybe it’s best that it’s a secret.

The service is friendly here and a bit charming you can say. I asked if there was happy hour and the bartender said, you are happy and this is the hour to be here. I was waiting at the salon on the 4^th floor called Wolf’s European Hair Design and wanting to get something to drink. A request for red wine and another for coffee so since Starbucks wouldn’t have wine, this was the next best thing. Ordering 2 cups of coffee and a glass of wine was $ 15 so hopefully the bartender remembers me and I had tipped him well.
