If you’re a Lincoln Heights native then you know about Dino’s! This place is good! Simple but tasty burgers are what this place is known for. Don’t come in expecting to be blown away or have your life changed because I’m hyping the place up though. It’s simple, good, and definitely filling. Staff is very friendly as well.

This is definitely a little gem! My sister and I had bacon avocado burgers and shared some monster fries. Monster fries were huge but, good! All the food tasted delicious and fresh. Chili was thick and tasty, bacon was crunchy and flavorful, burger meat had good seasoning and veggies(tomatoes, lettuce, onions) were fresh and crisp. If you’re in the mood for a good ol’ fashioned burger, TRYITOUT, you won’t be disappointed. Also, owner was great and attentive to our needs. It was a great lunch! A

Hands down, best burger I’ve had. We came here on a whim and we immediately decided this is the place to go. I had the avocado burger and they put some sauce on it. Not sure what it is but it’s amazing. I would post a picture but I ate that thing in 12 seconds. I hope this place stays in business. Keep it open and eat here. Friggin delicious.

Dino’s serves good, fresh food reasonably fast. Their breakfast burritos are big and packed with egg, hashbrowns, pico de gallo, and refried beans. The beans, which I usually don’t eat in breakfast burritos, were deliciously thick and creamy at the same time. The bacon burrito is seriously lacking bacon, but the sausage one is stuffed with at least 3 juicy sausage links. Get the sausage! I’d easily rate this 4 stars if: pico was chopped just a tad finer, bacon was more plentiful, and the bottom didn’t get soggy from watery pico.

everything is worth the time here, from pastrami sandwhiches to chicken dinners snd everything in between, friendly and hard working people, but their fries are a must!

Got the half chicken plate with fries. The chicken was juicy and really good. But the fries were so over cooked that more than half of them were inedible. Not that I really should be eating all of the fries, but I was bummed out since I was looking forward to having some fries :(

The staff is always swamped but they try their best to be attentive and considerate. Their portions are HUGE! I would give a higher rating but I’d swap out lower prices for lower portions… but that’s just me. Also, their food seems to have a lot of MSG. I had a cheeseburger the other month and my face turned bright red 30 minutes later. That can’t be good.

Ended up here accidentally driving through town. Was hungry and did not see many restaurants so Unilocaled this place. Certainly, would have been a «pass» if it was not for other reviewers of this establishment. The interior is not clean, the floors dirty, the seats and tables looked old. There were a couple of old TV playing the soccer games as I entered from the back entrance. I bravely continued. There were about 6 men in the little kitchen section making burgers. The menu board was also outdated and searched for a paper menu. Then, the guy finally came to take my order. He recommended the pastrami burger, but I went with the avocado burger. Came to about $ 10 for the combo(w/fries and drink). Thought is was pricey for the location, décor, and did not want to even think about checking out the restrooms. Sat outside, that area was nice… it was outside on a sunny day. The burger came and I was okay with it, nothing great to write to you Unilocalers about. Now, I like hamburgers, so that might be why I’m difficult. I guess the bread was fresh and soft, the meat was not great. The fries, oh my — why do this! It has the taste like it was fried in the leftover beef grease. It over-powered the taste of the fries and ruined it for me. The soda was good, extra sweet coca cola.

Let me start off first by saying I have been a loyal customer. I come here often, they hand out free certificates you came claim for a meal for my old hs, they voluntarily donate hundreds of burgers to the youth program i use to be apart of. SO i have ALWAYSLOVED this place and how kind they were to be so giving. I LOVEEEEGEORGE(the owner) he is the most kind-hearted, sweet, funny, loving man. SOITHURTMETOKNOWTHAT A WORKERTHEREROBBEDMEOF $ 5 So I ordered a ½ chicken plate, with fries and a cheeseburger. He told me the total was $ 15 even because, like I said, I go there often and normally they don’t tax me or just round down to the nearest dollar. I GAVEHIM $ 20(4 five dollar bills) because I thought he was $ 15 and some cents. Then he offers to give me 2 free drinks! I was so happy and asked for orange bang and pepsi. So then I asked for my change. I ASOLUTELYKNOW100% that I gave him 4 five dollar bills. I know for a certain fact that I gave him 4 five dollar bills because that was all the money I had left. So when I ask for my change, he says that I only gave him 3 five dollar bills. I SAIDNOWAY. I GAVEYOU4! ARGUEDWITHHIMFOR A BIT. but i just let it go because honestly you were not worth any of my time. – side note: I was on the phone with an important business call and I’m pretty sure he thought he could try to put one over me. What pisses me the most out of all of this is that I am a loyal customer who always supports you guys and you just ruined it for everyone. Honestly I am beyond disappointed in how you are. This is the guy who always looks cranky and upset, he’s kind of chubbier and always works at the to-go window. He always has the worse attitude about things if you want to change an order or anything. I am never coming back to this place again. I am seriously so mad at how a worker can easily rob me of my money after knowing I am a loyal customer.

THANKYOU Unilocal, FORLEADINGMEHERE! The place looks run down, but the food is delicious! The guys that work there are very nice too! Great service. I walked up to the place not really knowing what to order, and I ended up having a really hard time deciding what to get. Everything sounded so good! I came on a friday night so it was pretty busy, for the place of it’s size. It’s kinda small. I decided to get there monster deal, and it was great! Huge portions for like $ 9-$ 10, are you serious? Here, take my money! The fries were my favorite, they were crispy but the fat kind. Yum! The chili cheese is to die for! & It was huge!(If you plan on ordering that, I think you could really share the fries) The western bacon burger was juicy and yummy! Ugh, writing this review just makes me want to drive there now to eat! Well worth the money, especially if you’re on a budget! & You want some dirty juicy burgers. It was so good, I came here the following night on saturday when I was having the drunk munchies.

This place is really good! The food comes out fast and fresh. The only thing I don’t like it the drive thru speaker is bad and it’s hard to hear. Burgers are good and so are the breakfast burritos! The fries are crunchy and fresh when it comes out as well, not those stale fries you get at other places. I’m not a big fan of the onion rings— it’s overcooked so it’s really hard when you eat it. The carne asada burrito is also not my favorite. It’s not bad but I’ve had better. I have yet to try their chicken meals! Looks really good! A definite must try!

I come here whenever I’m craving zucchini fries or regular fries. They’re the shizznitz and hands down the best you can get in the area. The zucchini fries are always cooked perfectly; crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Same goes for the fries! Make sure to ask for their thousand island sauce for dipping, cause it’s hella good! The chicken salad is also another one of my favorites. The portion is huge and it has a ton of fresh ingredients; lettuce, bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. The amount of chicken they give is really generous too. The chicken plate is also bombbb. The chicken is moist, soft, and cooked perfectly The fries that come along with this dish is amazing in the sauce they get get drenched in. It can get a little too salty for me but I still enjoy having it once in a while. Their monster chili cheese fries. Literally anything you can think of is on this dish. The name speaks for itself; they are a monster. Big bonus is the fact that they have a drive thru window and they’re open pretty late. I come here so much the workers have recognized me already, lol. They have also recently remodeled and updated the outdoor seating; it has way more seating and looks cleaner now!

A friend first introduced me to Dino’s about 12yrs ago. She took me to the Dino’s on Pico Blvd. just west of Vermont Ave. I remember the chicken being very juicy. The marinade permeated the meat and every bite was filled with flavor. I remember the bright orange hue the chicken turned because of the marinade and it also turned the fries orange. The fries absorbed the overflowing juices of the chicken marinade and though soggy, they were the best soggy fries I’ve ever had. For one reason or another I always wanted to return to Dino’s but life got in the way and a trip back just never materialized… until now… Dino’s has been around since the beginning of time… well almost, Dino’s dates back to about 1968 and has been a constant in the lives of the Lincoln Heights neighborhood. Even though it’s exterior appearance is somewhat off putting, the place is always packed with locals and those who have heard by word of mouth about Dino’s famous«orange chicken.» Since one of my co-workers and I were at a week long conference in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of «East LA,» we agreed that we would visit Dino’s for lunch during one of those days. When we arrived it was somewhat early for lunch but locals had taken their spots both inside & outside. We walked to the counter and put in our order for the ½ chicken plate, which comes on a bed of fries, rice, beans, coleslaw & salsa. Since they already had chicken on the grill, our orders were ready within minutes. We opted to eat inside due to rain being forecasted. The inside looked a bit unattended(dirtyish…is that a even a word?) but when I started looking around I realized it’s just the run down nature of the restaurant. And, when something is old not matter how much you clean some stains just don’t come off. But, I digress; we sat down and begun to dig in. The chicken was flavorful but I think someone was a bit heavy handed with the salt and it was a bit overcooked. The soggy fries(which I was looking forward to) soaked up a large portion of that salt and were almost inedible. They also didn’t turn orange like I remembered. The beans were good too but again who ever prepared them went overboard with the pepper. The little side of coleslaw that comes with the chicken had a nice sweetness to it that I really enjoyed. I decided to pour the coleslaw«juice» onto the fries hoping that the sweetness would off set the saltiness, yeah no don’t do that… it didn’t work. I was so saddened by this experience and kept wondering if this had been due to the difference in location? Or maybe a modification to the recipe? I just don’t know. Now I’m curious to return to the Dino’s on Pico Blvd and see if they too have changed or if the changes are limited to this particular location. Do I still recommend Dino’s…I’m not sure the verdict is still out on that one. I may have to pay them another visit maybe they were having an off day, it happens to the best of us.

I’m such a huge fan of Dino’s Chicken and Burgers that for a minute there, I literally felt my heart sink when I saw the sign saying«Dino’s Burgers». I thought they were two different things but apparently they’re the same. I’m quite happy that I have Dino’s near work — it always makes for a good and cheap lunch whenever I forget to pack a lunch. As everyone knows — or at least everyone who’s a fan of the original Dino’s location along Pico, the chicken plate(still for $ 7 woot woot) and their pastrami sandwiches are things you should go for. What really amazes me though is the fact that they keep their prices so low but give HUGE portions of food. Ah, I love you Dino’s. My only thing is that when I had the chicken plate here yesterday, I found their sauce(which I like my fries and chicken swimming in) to be so salty and lacked the acidic taste that tickles my tastebuds when I pick up food from the Pico location. I still can’t complain since the food was satisfying and good!

Ok so here we are its been so long baby, oh how I’ve missed you! The chicken that started it all ladies and gentlemen. Ok so do not get it twisted Dino’s is great, but do not be fooled by these new franchises that are popping up all over the place. Stick to the ones on Main and Griffin, My favorite or the Og on Pico in west LA. They are always consistent as long as it’s not to packed. Also if your gonna have fries with your chicken let the cooks know you want your fries extra crispy they are gonna soak up all that yummy goodness which is the juice from that delicious chicken follow these simple tips from your Uncle E, and you will leave happy every time my friends!

Pretty good food for an even better price. Dino’s serves a variety of things from chicken to burgers to breakfast platters. I’ve tried their breakfast burrito(~$ 5) as well as their chicken plate(~$ 7), which is apparently what they’re known for. The burrito is huge and can be shared between two people. Their chicken plate has a good amount of food as well. It comes with fries, rice, refried beans, cole slaw, 4 corn tortillas, and half a chicken. The chicken is pretty tasty and unique(it’s orange colored!). However, that platter of food gets really salty after awhile. Luckily, it comes with a small drink, but they charge for refills. My biggest complaint is the overall organization of the place. You order your food at the counter, wait to pick-up your food, and you don’t pay until you go back to the counter after you finish eating, which is really strange since it’s totally based on an honor system, but that’s not the issue I have. The issue comes when they get busy and you want to pay and leave, but can’t because they’re too damn busy! You would think they would want their money ASAP but I must’ve waited at least 10 – 15 minutes to pay, which is just ridiculous. The crazy part is although they looked busy, it wasn’t really that busy. I just didn’t see what the big fuss was about. I honestly think Dino’s should just make you pay upfront. They would be less flustered and I would’ve been less irritated. Located near the USC Health Science Campus in Lincoln Heights. They have their own parking lot in the back.
