Miss the older guys. They were friendly and would indulge friendly in conversation while ordering. Not going back.

Even after my last review, I decided to give this place just one more chance because we were craving burgers, it was raining so we didn’t want to go too far, and we didn’t want to go to McDonald’s either. BADIDEA. I ordered a fish burger– I like breaded fish, what can go wrong? Well— my fish filet in the sandwich was so burnt it was crunchier than Japanese peanuts. It was tasteless. As if this weren’t bad enough, the lady who works there sucks. She’s rude. When I asked for tartar sauce to make the sacrifice of eating my sandwich more bearable, she looked at me like I asked her for something impossible to obtain. «No, we don’t have that here.» And she said it in a tone like saying sarcastically, «sorry, too bad.» What? You sell fish dinners and fish sandwiches, terrible ones at that, and you don’t have tartar sauce? Never again.

I love that it’s no longer cash only. This place has come a long way… I love the pastrami, the bacon cheeseburger, their all pastor tortas, and more lol… the burgers are so delicious.

I used to come here since I was a kid and the food was good. But ever since the original employees left, the food hasn’t been the same and the new employees have a bad attitude.

R.I.P GEORGES!!! That for the old George’s, the George’s from one year ago. Have not been there in a while but growing up George’s was the place for a good pastrami burger and fries. I don’t know how new owners could mess up a classic burger, pastrami burger even the fries. They have no taste super dry and just nasty. HORRIBLE!!! I want my money back seriously…

I’ve lived in Boyle Heights my entire life and I finally decided to try their burgers. I’ve had their chili cheese fries before and they are delicious! However, I cannot say the same for their burgers. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and I am so disappointed. The patty is clearly one of those cheap frozen ones from the store. It had such a bland taste to it. The buns also had an almost old flavor. Whatever it was I was not satisfied. Their fries per usual were good but I think if I ever do decide to come back it’s just to order fries and an orange bang.

This is the second time I’ve been here and this place has gotten my order wrong twice. I ordered a chicken burrito with just rice and when I arrive home, I come to find that they’ve added beans and hot sauce on it. FYI: I have a ulcer and can’t be eating spicy food. Second order: I ordered their 12 piece meal: half BBQ n half Mild with celery n carrots on the side. When I got home, I find out I didn’t receive my side order that comes with the meal and she gave me the spicy wings after I specifically stated I can’t have anything spicy. I’m never coming here again! In addition, the orders take forever to make.

Food is still great! But the staff is now younger, uninterested. seem like they don’t wanna be there. The older guys had it down, used to be great n attentive n the right kind of chatty. This place is losing its charm

Beware this place is not the same anymore. They have new owner who have changed a lot of things on the menu and the prices went up! Hamburgers don’t taste good. What’s even worse whoever that new girl they have in the front taking orders has a horrible attitude and gets mad for every little thing! You’ll know who I’m talking about once you go, because of her horrible customer service and decrease of the quality of the food and increase of prices I will not be returning! Good luck to the new owners you’ll need it for hiring that rude girl because you’re going to be losing a lot of customers because of her.

I went yesterday to get some asada fries the worst fries ever. I can’t believe how bad they looked. I order some Asada fries and a hamburger special for $ 16. I will not be going anymore. I miss the old workers and service.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid! I always get a double cheese burger special, only dressing and lettuce, extra ketchup with a side of yellow chillis and dressing YUM!!! Mouth watering burgers! Some how when I get my combination it tends to have similar taste to In n out burgers . Only reason why im not giving them 5 stars is just because some or even most of the employees have an attitude, other than that the food is great

Horrible horrible, asked for a ice coffee taste like s**t had to be the worst drink someone could charge you for, used to come when I was small for the hamburgers and frys, probably the only thing really good there everything else including tacos taste horrible, tried the curly fries even that had to be bad I hate to write a bad review because it’s sort of a landmark but it’s definitely not worth money. Foods just plain not good

How this place has 2.5 stars is beyond me. Went here a lot as a kid and let me tell you, this place is amazing! I went last year for the first time in over 8 years and it still tastes as amazing as ever! The classic cheeseburger special is a must! The guys are also super cool as well. The only thing is that it’s cash only but thankfully, Bank of America is right next to it!

I would recommend everyone to stay way. I bought a cheese burger special for a little over 7.00. When i got back to the office to eat, i noticed this really bad smell coming from the burger. I took 2 bites, and noticed the smell was coming from the meat. The meat literally smelled old and expired. I took the burger and everything back to the man and gave everything back. I didn’t request a refund, i’m just thankful i didn’t get sick. Other people there were asking me what happened so i told them. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Look at the meat when they put it on the grill, you will notice it’s looks different, almost like old pork meat.

RUDEOVERTHEPHONE just called asking for pastrami specials & the guy was like whattt? I said pastrami specials & he said ohh that it comes with a pastrami, fries, and a soda. I asked if they have another special & he thought I was crazy. Is he serious? Then when I asked the price he said like $ 9 something oh $ 9.25. It pissed me of because couldn’t you just tally it on your cash register? Jim’s burgers is way better customer service. I called them as well & they have the PASTRAMIMADNESS which comes with a pastrami.)? Chilli chesse fries, and a large drink for only $ 8.99& that’s including tax. I was debating where to go and I definitely decided on Jim’s

I don’t know what it is I just ate but let me tell you? I don’t think it was meat??? My family and I have been passing by this place for years so we finally decided to try it out and now we know why are guts were always telling us not to stop! We purchased the family hamburger special(4burgers 4fries 4small sodas) and my girlfriend ordered a pastrami sandwich! The sold called hamburger meat had no flavor what so ever and that was the scary part because it should have tasted like juicey fresh meat? But it sure was not it was dry and bland and the pastrami was more like fatstrami hardly any pink meat just a lot of fat and nerve endings! I mean really this place is disgusting! We threw are food away and went to king taco up the street! Take it from me I know good food and this place is far far from it YUCK!!!

Horrible service from guy … guy was really mean when serving us and overcharged us.(He did the math in his head and I would have not said anything but when we were waiting we saw the prices on the board and it didnt add up, so we asked him and he just nodded at us while giving us our money back like it was our fault.) What got me ewwwed was when He grabbed the lettuce from the bowl with the same hand he touched the money and i didnt want to eat the food after. To top it off he grAbbed the extra lettuce that fell off the burger(to the dirty table) picked it up with his hand and put it in the bowl. I paid 20 bucks for 2 burger combos and a side of onion rings. Never coming back here. I love burgers but next tim sticking to jims or in n out. I knew i shouldve tooken a video but oh well.

My son and I decided to try out the pastrami based on reviews I read. Honestly this pastrami is the worse I’ve had. It was bland no flavor. The meat had a lot of nerve and the bread was hard. I am not sure how others rave about this location. I would give it a zero star but I can’t so it gets one star. Next time I decide to eat a pastrami I’ll go to the hat or oinksters in eagle rock

If you’re someone who likes to feel like they’re on fire, mostly around their mouth and bunghole, check out their tacos! When you need a second horchata the guy behind that counter will play a funny joke and pretend you want a spoon! So funny! Little did I know I’d need more than a spoon to clean up my underwear, legs, and shower after those three piles of meat. Unfortunately now I can’t look at the billboards for How to Train Your Dragon 2 without thinking about the fire breathing my pooper did for those 36 hours. The burgers are pretty good though.
