Jack In The Box

I had to update my review based on the last 2 visits. The last time we were there, there were about 25 or 30 dead flies in the window sills. I told the older heavy set Hispanic woman, she replied, «I know» and walked away. About 15 minutes later, I mentioned it to a young male employee, he just stared at me. It seemed as though he was thinking «What the f*ck are you telling me for». He turned and walked away without saying a word.
Today we stopped by, ordered what we usually get, a Jumbo Jack Combo from the older heavy set Hispanic woman, then the wife left to go to the restroom. I started to pay but the cash register read $ 2.39. I said «$ 2.39 for a Combo?». She said «You didn’t order a Combo». I said «We just ordered a Combo». She grabbed the receipt and started waving it in the air and shouted «No! It’s right here! This is what you ordered!!». Bizarre and hilarious at the same time. Just then the wife came walking around the corner and said the restroom was so dirty and filthy, she couldn’t take the smell. Keep in mind I’ve dragged my wife into every dive bar in existence. No complaints.
Needless to say, we walked. We went down to Archibald’s and ate. Better food, better service, Hell, better everything.

Honestly, the only reason anyone should ever give a five star service to a fast food chain is the service. We all know what jack in the box food tastes like, and that’s no different for this location.
But thanks to my job I’ve become a regular at this place, and I have to say the employees here when I come in (like Miss Shanon) are always so friendly and considerate, and they work really hard! It’s definitely the best jack in the box I’ve eaten at.

Every time I have stopped by this place they have ripped me off and their meat wasn’t cooked… Buyers beware
Recently jackn the box went through a law suit for serving meat not approved by the FDA. Here is the article:

The food is what it is, jack in the box. You know what your getting when you walk in. The employees here however are unreal. Literally 3 – 5 separate times I’ve come here in the evening the grab some food where I’ve stood at the register with no line, and had to wait 5+ minutes to be acknowledged.
This location, along with the one down the street on Ocean Blvd. cater to the local homeless community more than anything. Always multiple homeless people just hanging out in this place, coming and going just to use the restrooms. The odor is unreal sometimes.
This place has really gone downhill over the years. There is graffiti on the windows dating back to the late 90’s…
The one on ocean, closes their dining room doors 20 min early, I’ve seen employees sleeping in their car, parked right in front of the restaurant doors (not in the parking lot).

Poorly trained. They cannot get an order right at the drive through. Of course, you won’t know it until you leave. So frustrating! They may be nice, but they are poorly trained. When I called to speak to a manager, he was on vacation. Of course!

Very friendly very courteous great service. The reason I come to this place is because of the employees. The employees are great. They care and they work very very hard.
Mia and Bill are great team leaders and are very calm in many types of tough situations. I cannot say enough about these two amazing employees keep up the good work.

Sign says open at 6am. Stop by exactly at 6 on way to work and it closed. Wait a few minute and girl come out and say, «sorry, we close.»
Neanderthal say, «i thought you open at 6?» And girl say, «no, we don’t.»
Then i ask, «so what time you open then?» And she say” in ten or fifteen minutes.“
Then neanderthal say, «but sign on window say 6?» And she turn around and walk back inside without answer. Unacceptable, jack in box.

The food isn’t great, but what can you expect? It’s cheap food on a street with lots of bars. There is this kid named Moises who works there who is really annoying. Always cursing and trying to be funny. I’ve seen him making fun of customers in front of other customers. Once, I saw a female customer confront him after overhearing his coments about her, and he pathetically tried to play off like he was talking on his headset. Tool in the Box.

Warning do not eat at this disgusting place!!!
I ordered a chicken burger from there and when I got it and opened it the wrapper there was mold on my bun!
So I exchanged it and they gave me another one
When I was half thru my burger I felt my teeth cracking!
There was rock’s in my burger! Later that day I had pain full stomach cramps
Just don’t eat there at all
Unless u want it teeth breaking with some appetizing mold buns

The old over weight lady manager is the worst. You stand there waiting because she doesn’t want to get up and help while all other employees are busy. Pathetic.

For anyone reading this you should know i strongly believe that the cleanliness of a restaurants bathroom speaks volumes about the restaurant itself.
That having been said, this particular Jack in the Box has the distinct privilege of having the dirtiest bathroom i have ever set foot in.
@7:32am, this restroom had piss on the floor, piss on the toilet seat, no toilet paper, and piss and shit on the top of the toilet seat.
The thing that really upset me was when i first walked in there was an employee sitting amongst the customers eating breakfast. I guess he had put in a good days work and felt he wasn’t obligated to check the restrooms before going on break.
Needles to say, I didn’t buy a thing from them and to be quite truthful didn’t bother to wash my hands for fear of what might be on the faucet.

The woman was very passive while taking my order. Took 20 minutes to get my food

standard Jack in the Box in a crowded area. Their size means they run out of things faster and dont always follow the current promotions but its pretty standard otherwise.

Service was fast, food was hotter (i ordered the same thing as before, the «really big chicken sandy»), 2 dipping ranch sauces instead of one like the first time… MUCH MUCH Better!
Still fast food so I can’t give it a 5, but 4, for sure!

Messed up my order big time… ah well it is to be expected when going through the drive thru… cold fries, drinks were wrong… at least the baby shower where I was headed had food– so I didn’t totally starve

While not a fan of fast food (as mentioned in other reviews) there are a few places I will eat. Chains always kinda depress me: this is no exception. The location is bland and uninteresting, bordered by three streets and a Vons. Hit it up if you want a cheap meal, otherwise pass this place by.
