Still nice; great beer list, good food but gotten really pricey. $ 7– for a pint of Guinness? Srsly???

Great Bar! We go here often and would usually give it 5 stars. I have to say The bartender tonight was AWESOME. The cook had asked a drunk patron to leave, but he knew the owner and refused. This regular who grabbed french fries off my friends plate while he was eating dinner! Who does that!?! It was definitely a bad night at Quinns. When you want a beer and a bite, it WAS our favorite off second bar… but when a regular who clearly has entitlement issues is driving customers out, and the bartender is worried that he is going to come back later, it’s a bummer. Unfortunately our friend who was trying it for the first time probably won’t be back and it definitely killed the bar for us. No one wants to be called a bitch for saying it’s rude to touch or take someone else’s food.(Isn’t that a childhood lesson?) The couple on the other side of this guy just moved to LB on friday, probably not the right impression to make as his fries were eaten while he was in the restroom. May want to reevaluate who your friends are of it take the bartender calling the owner who spoke to this guy to get him to leave.

One of the best burgers I’ve had, the girlfriend loves their wraps. The burger and beer special is a good deal. If your a Packer fan that’s all they show on game day.

The best dive bar on 2nd Street. Great craft beer selection. The burgers are amazing and they have $ 2 jellow shots. Definitely worth checking out: D

This place is awesome! Especially if you are a Packers fan who wants to see the game at a small bar, this is the place to be. Many TVs to look at, great atmosphere, and even better food. I recommend the Quinn’s Burger with a chicken breast, thousand island dressing and cheddar. My problem with chicken burgers is that they put in one tiny breast so that by the end of the burger, all you’re biting into is bread. Not the case with this one! They put two chicken breasts to make sure every bite you take has chicken. The cheese was a perfect combination of melty and gooey. The fries were a bomb compliment to a bomb burger, 10⁄10 recommend.

Around Belmont Shore area is the cool 2nd Street scene, where college kids and young at heart adults love to hang out. Of course there are bars, and then there are bars, like hole in the wall watering holes, and Quinn’s is a good one, but it may have something lacking. Location is on the side of the Nieto Building, which is a good thing. It brings in traffic from the street where its not as busy, and it brings in most locals than most bars on 2nd street. I came here plenty of times when I was at CSULB, but of course I didn’t have the opportunity to Unilocal about it until now. Quinn’s is a great hang out space, despite a small inside area, but beer selection is not bad. The grill part of Quinn’s, I have not yet experienced so I cannot express any deets on that, but what seems to be lacking may be liveliness of the place. It doesn’t need hip hop or crazy loud music, just a bit more vibe. Maybe a new splash of paint on the walls, or an updated music jukebox thing, I don’t know, but it could use a boost, but nothing radical. Its still a cool kick back place. Perks: Beers on tap, cocktails, and a food menu. Great locals spot. Surrounded by a Cigar shop and great dining and shopping around the corner. Downsides: A bit rustic, but vintage feels. Bathroom is a one toilet bathroom, so be patient you may have to wait for a vacancy. KNOW before you GO: Outside Parking is meter only, but there is public parking and street parking nearby. OverALL: A-OK. Not super awesome, but not horrible either. Quinn’s delivers a short stop of quick drinks and fun times. Worth a pint laddy!

Love this place! Nice dive bar 100 feet off 2nd st. Really hidden and low-key. Great place to grab a drink and where you can actually hold a conversation without screaming to your partner. Many different options for beer and decent bar food finger foods. Love coming to this place to catch a sports game or a solo beer. Cheers!

Burgers are good, burger and beer deal is good. Best part about this place after food & drink is the crowd it attracts. No nonsense folk out to have a good time and actually interact with strangers. Lots of craft beer, like most bars mostly IPAs, but there are always a few good others. Also bottled beers are available. :)

Nothing fancy about Quinn’s and that is exactly what you want in a pub. It has a true European feel to it. Narrow and long room. Mix of chairs and bar stools, lots of TV and one of the best beer boards, showing what’s on tap, that I’ve come across. I had the double IPA and it was excellent. The buffalo chicken sandwich was okay. Fresh bun but nothing special. Chicken was nicely done and while I enjoyed the sauce, I wouldn’t call it spicy Excellent fries! Definitely on my list of places to make a return visit.

Good little side bar to get off the main part of 2nd street. Superb choices for beers on tap and they have flights! Always nice hostesses. Top notch pickled eggs! Haven’t had much else of the menu to comment.

Disclaimer: If fractions were allowed, I would give Quinn’s a 3.5. However, since fractions are not allowed, I will round up to 4. This place is pretty solid, the food is good, and they have a good number of beers on tap. If the food quality is stepped up a notch, it would be 5 stars. There is a lot of competition on 2nd street, so a place in this area def needs to compete. There are a couple of tvs, and bar area seating as well as small circular tables that fit 4. There is a dedicated fridge with bottled craft beer. The only problem is that the bottled craft beer is a little over priced. For food we had a sampler and the Black’n Bleu Burger. As I previously mentioned, both were good, but just a a star away from awesome. We came on Friday just before 8, and there were two tables opened. About 10 minutes later all the seats were taken. The amount of people inside the restaurant was just about right, not too crowded such that it’s standing room only, but def not empty. Definitely a good place to check out in Belmont shores.

Just had dinner here. Placed order, got food, and never saw waitress again until I was done. Ordered the trio appetizer, nothing fancy. Chicken strips, fried zucchini, and mozzarella sticks, and a beer. When she brought the food, she warned«be careful it’s really hot.» I bit into a mozzarella stick, barely room temperature. Tried a chicken strip, tasted fine. Bit into the zucchini, burnt my mouth. Now, I’m fine with that. I was warned. I was not however warned there were 3 different temperatures going on. I was asked if honey mustard and ranch was fine, and I said I’ll just have bbq sauce please. Received 1 small cup of bbq sauce. Now this isn’t normally a problem, I’d typically just ask for more, however she was engaged in conversation, at a table, with a customer(I assume a regular), THEENTIRETIME I ATE. She dropped off the food, ate some food of her own, and was never behind the bar again until I was done. Ran out of bbq half way through. Beer was empty when she came back, asked if I wanted another and said I was done. She brought the bill, I tipped her $ 3 and left. Halfway out the door I said thank you as I wasn’t even acknowledged leaving. Was the bar busy? When I walked in, there were 2 girls sitting by the front window. Period.

Looking for a quick bite to eat for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised! Great craft beer selection and an awesome burger and beer special only $ 10! My girlfriend loved her mushroom burger but couldn’t finish it so I ate it later and it was fantastic(I don’t even like mushrooms!) Great craft beer selection and great tasting burger as well as value and very nice staff! We were happy and will definitely come back again!

Gross! This place is disgusting. Me friends and I came in to get a drink and this rude nasty lady comes and tells us we can not use the restroom and said we had to leave. RUDE! We were coming in to try a new place and the way were treated was ridiculous and we immediately left. And will never be back! Definitely not a place to come. There is way too many good places in the area to come! I do not appreciate the way i was treated at all!

I went here for lunch and got the burger special — about $ 10 for burger, fries, and a 16 oz beer.(You get a Coors or some other similar beer as a part of the special, but you can upgrade to a craft beer for about $ 3 more.) I was not impressed by the burger or fries at all. The burger was overcooked and lacked any distinct flavor. The bun didn’t taste fresh at all. And, the fries were soggy — this was actually the first time that I didn’t finish my fries at a restaurant. Being the fat kid that I am, this says A LOT. I was unimpressed by the quality of the food, especially since there are so many other good burgers on 2nd Street. Don’t get me wrong, it didn’t make me sick nor did I hate my food. It was fine and edible, but it left much to be desired. The service was fine. The atmosphere was whatever, I didn’t care for it. It wasn’t as fun or welcoming like some of the other places on 2nd Street, such as Simmzy’s. I’m giving this place 2 stars for the location and the lunch special pricing. Since I don’t plan on coming back, I can’t justify giving it three stars. REVIEWEDITED: Normally, I don’t spend time editing my reviews. But I think this warrants an edit. I had saw that the owner commented on my review, so I was curious to read it. In the first half, he apologizes for my bad experience. No need to apologize. Not everyone enjoys the same restaurant. Different strokes for different folks, right? And that’s the point of Unilocal right? To provide reviews and experiences — whether positive or negative. But in the second part of his original comment, he insults me. Read for yourself. When I went back to edit my review to respond to this comment, I noticed that the comment had been shortened. Here is actually the whole thing that the owner wrote. I am posting this here because I feel as if a business owner should not be insulting or sarcastic to his/her customers. I would never support a business establishment that is so rude to its customers. «I’m very sorry to read that you had a bad experience in my establishment. If you would of informed the server or myself that the burger was too well done then we would of been more than happy to accommodate you by making another burger or giving you a full refund. We are not perfect and do make mistakes and for that I apologize. As you can read on Unilocal people like us… But it seems we weren’t high end enough for you. Very sorry. Too bad you won’t be coming back to give us a 2nd chance. But you wrote you give it 2 stars instead of three because you don’t plan to come back. Do you think establishments will retaliate against you? So if you didn’t like it but you MIGHT come back then it gets a 3 star? Lol wow! Good luck! Cheers!, Jason Rabenn Owner» And Jason, just a FYI, your comment about the 2 vs. 3 star does not make sense. In my book, 2 stars simply mean I would not come back to an establishment and 3 stars mean that I may consider coming back. It’s like stating that a 2 star movie is not worth re-watching, but a 3-star movie is. It has nothing to do with«retaliation». What does that even mean? Do you really think I expect owners of businesses to remember who makes negative comments on Unilocal reviews then do something like spit in the food?

I THOUGHT we’d found our new beer spot in our neighborhood… then we found Quinn’s and have definitely established this is it. I’ve been here twice now, both times on weekend afternoons and both times left happy. They really do have a great beer list(which makes me wonder why there are«Irish Pub» references in here? Oh well). On my most recent visit I had an Eel River Blonde, something delightfully hoppy(citra hops!) that I now can’t entirely remember the name of, and a Firestone Hef. I love that they have mostly local breweries(shhh, I’m considering all of California«local» here) which a few other standard delights(I’m looking at you Deschutes!). We got hungry during all this drinking and opted to order the honey mustard chicken wrap with sweet potato fries to share. It make a good snack/light meal for sharing and it was lovely. Not amazing, but I’d totally order it again and it’s heaps better than the food at the other pretend Irish place with a craft beer list we’d been frequenting(not naming names, I’m a classy lady!). Now, if only they’d implement a weekend happy hour(weekdays only is no good when you work ALLTHEHOURS), I wouldn’t even have to think twice about where to spend my time and dollars on the weekends!
