Went there for dinner with friends today. Great Fish and Chips and mushy peas! Everyone loved their food. Seared Ahi, Corned beef, and did I mention the great Fish and Chips. And of course, there is Guinness. Great friendly staff. They were very busy due to the Soccer game(Futbol).

The ambiance is what you would expect from an Irish pub. The staff was pretty friendly and everything is reasonably priced too. The seared ahi salad was surprisingly good and the tater tots are yummmmmy!

Ok, this place rocks. From the crowd’s to the drinks, to the food, and back around to the wait staff. Top notch! They get busy and well it doesn’t really show with the staff. They are always there when you need them. We love tater tots and well this place does not disappoint. What makes these bad boys good, is they come out golden brown and crispy! God almighty, how many times have you received soggy tater tots. Not here! We have yet to have an order that is soggy. And let’s not forget the incredible dipping sauces you can choose from! We have been here pretty much every night of the week. It is usually busy with of course Friday and Saturday being the most crowded and hectic. The happy hour they have for beer rocks. Nice large beers for a really good price! If you are in the area on St. Patty’s day, this is definitely one of the spots you want to hit! Great, loud, singing, and having a good olé time type crowd! Can’t say enough good things about this place.

Smoke on the patio, drink on the patio, eat on the patio… I couldn’t really see what I was eating though(it was dark outside), but it didn’t really matter because of how good it tasted. Had the Shepards Pie Burger, it was bomb… The bacon and jalapeño wrapped tots are fire, an my girlfriend attests to the seared ahi. Which surprises me. Overall, great vibe, people were cool, service was good for trying to order food at a bar. I mean really, it’s a BAR that serves food, good food. If you want quick and attentive service, as in getting your salad the minute you order it, go elsewhere. However, if you wanna hang out, eat some good food, drink some drinks and time is not of the essence, then this place fits the bill.

I’m re-rating this pub. I used to love this place, great burgers, great beers, great service. The last three times I’ve been in they’re out of good beers, the service has declined, and the place reeks of cigarettes and stale beer.

The food was very filling, and you got more than what you expected but it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. I will come back, but it’s definable not my first choice with all the variety of restaurants around this area. But if this is open, definitely check it out. Service was great!

Really good breakfast burrito with a bit of an Irish flare. Nicely spicy Bloody Mary as well. Aside from that, it very much what you’d expect from your typical Irish pub. Do have to say that the drink service from our waitress was really good.

NICOLE is the worst waitress ever. She has no understanding of customer service. Horrible attention to customers and in addition she hangs out with her friends on the clock. She enjoys challenging customers instead of solving problems. The bartender also initiated a fight with a customer. I don’t know why the customers didn’t knock her out cold. The most unprofessional establishment I have ever been to.

Fun local spot. Lots of seating. Good waitress. I had a classic burger and onion rings. Very yummy. And big portions. I ate about half. We walked there and back. My first time. Will be back

Probably the greatest breakfast burrito I’ve had in a loooooooong time! Seriously love/recommend it. That being said I will make a note: the hours are actually opening at 11:30am instead of 11:00 like it says on here(for a Thursday) and the website says they serve breakfast everyday from 11 – 2 when actually they only serve it Saturday/Sunday 9 – 11:30am. That stuffs not a negative by any means just making sure everyone knows. I seriously love this place the atmosphere is friendly and the people are great and the food is delicious. Outside seating for gorgeous Long Beach days and there’s TVs for sports!

How long should you wait to be served before saying something? Unbelievable awful service. 25 minutes after arriving and sitting at a table I walked to the bar and ordered a drink, Miller lite and 18 yr Macallan. Back to my table, 29 more minutes have past and still no service. I hope the owner looks at his cameras and see this is a true and accurate depiction of what unfolded. I normally would walk out but the rose bowl is on and my car is charging. Okay 55 minutes in and still no menu or greeting from a server. How is this possible. Invisible? Blonde waitress friends that walked in after me have been served, and selfied and I just wait. Walked back to the bar for refill… don’t judge! Bar tender was shocked I had not been served. Insisted I take a beer at no cost and would get me served. Waitress finally comes to the table, I guess it was my fault, she said she made eye contact as she walked by. How silly of me to forget my waitress waving downs flags. Ordered California burger, not what I received. Had mushrooms and no avocados. Burger cut in half, only 1 half had beef. I guess I ticked off the wrong/right person. I have met the owner, great Irishman/American, he’s not here. Wish he was. Maybe he wouldn’t be getting screwed, waitress friends paid or drank/eat for free? I know the answer, what’s your guess? How much money do you think the owner is loosing from employee theft? If you want great food this is the place. Chefs and freshness are incredibility goid

As if Long Beach didn’t have enough Irish themed bars, pubs and restaurants, Gallagher’s Pub and Grill in Long Beach is one of those that I have tried and became a fan of. The ambience of this place is loud at times but fun and full of energy, especially on nights they televise certain events. Depending on the event, they will charge differently. I have came here mostly during the evening. By far, my favorite plate here are their mozzarella cheese sticks. I cannot lie when saying this– their cheese sticks are the best I have ever had, and I have had many from other places. The ones here though just take the icing off the cake! They do have a fully stocked bar inside with many options to choose from. I usually go for their 805 beer. I have tried a few of their burgers here, which have not left me disappointed. They have an outdoor patio where smoking is permitted. During the warm summer nights, it probably is best to sit outside and catch the fresh breeze that the ocean nearby provides. Inside, it is quite big with ample seating, but know that it can get full quickly, especially in the evening or during happy hour. Their menu boasts quite the variety of eats to choose from. No lie, it will take you quite a while to read the whole menu. That is how much and how big their variety is here. The only dish I was not too impressed with was the Carlos Gallagher burger. It was a bit dry for me. Maybe I came on a busy night. But I will not let that event deter me from coming back. Overall, Gallagher’s Pub has left me as a fan and wanting to come back. The ambience here is great, the waiters/waitresses are professional, and the place overall is one that you should try.

Definitely steer clear of this location! The Huntington Beach location is so much cleaner and has a better crowd than this location. I came here on Saint Patrick’s Day at around 7. Somehow we ended up getting a table, but it didn’t matter because we got no food menus or no waitresses to take our order. We ended up stealing a menu from another table to order food after around half an hour of trying to get a waitresses attention. Yes, the place was packed full of drunk people, so it was really annoying to be in this atmosphere without at least having food and drinks. I think they had way too many people in there and they probably weren’t keeping track and most likely broke the fire code. I got a green beer, finally, and it was served out of a plastic cup. I also ordered a Reuben with fries, and I didn’t really enjoy it. I only ended up eating half, but it was largely flavorless. We also ended up getting irish car bombs, which did not work well at all in plastic cups because the shot in the plastic cup just kept floating up, and I just ended up sipping it. It was annoying. When we finally got the bill, the beers, car bombs, and food was way too expensive for the terrible quality of everything. Overall, a very bad saint patrick’s day experience. I’ll stick to the Huntington Beach location from now on.
