On this night 1 Apr 2016 around 7:30pm I went in knowing what I wanted(2 platters). A worker(short, dark hair, Caucasian female) was telling me I couldn’t order a 2 taco platter. She goes on to be annoying and tell me the prices, when I told her money wasn’t the issue. I told her what the company menu board says and nothing more. After about 5 minutes of trying to explain to her what I wanted that was clearly on the board she gave my platter to her co-workers(young male & female). I started talking to them(very friendly) and the first employee butts in to say, «sir please» at this time I started to get pissed because she’s no longer in the conversation when I’m placing my order with the other two employees. They(2 other employees) apologized for her behavior and they were, well looked younger than her and mature. Another customer behind me even said ma’am it does say it right there then told me good luck as she paid for her order before my order was even finished. I did not raise my voice and kept calm the entire time(I bit my tongue and pressed). I still gave a tip when I paid for my dinner. At the end of the day I left the store with a smile.

Love the food and the staff here. Every time we come here, we’ve always been happy. Prices are good and ingredients are fresh. Restaurant is a little on the small side so it could get loud when it s crowded. Parking sometimes is a challenge.

I haven’t been to Taco Del Mar in awhile and decided to try it again last week. After I did I remembered why I stopped going. I got myself a mondito burrito which was already $ 6.79, to add on guacamole and sour cream it would’ve costed me another $ 1.60. I also added shredded beef which they charged me another $ 1(which by the way the scoop was about the size of a tablespoon) I can’t believe it costs about $ 10 for a little burrito! It was basically filled with rice and beans! Won’t be going here again and definately not recommending to anyone else

Really disappointed with this location! I first started eating TDM in Washington and then on big island. Being that it’s a chain it’s always been consistently good! BUTTHESTAFFANDMANAGEMENTATTHISLOCATIONARETERRIBLE STAYAWAY !

Just tried my tacos I ordered to go. The to go packaging wasn’t great. The tacos are squished and the tortillas are soggy and falling apart. Expect to pay the same amount for your order and for the condiments added into your order(small portions that was not worth it at all). I don’t recommend this place. You’re better off making homemade tacos or getting the food from Taco Bell.

Good food for a good price and you pick what you want or don’t want for your toppings. Wet Mondo Burrito, Carnitas Bowl, and Chips and Queso. Yummm!

Came here and they weren’t busy. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. I ordered the Baja bowl and my BF ordered the cheese quesadilla. Customer service was A+. My food was delicious. I took a few bites and was immediately full. My BF wasn’t so happy because«I could have made the cheese quesadilla at home for him.» I told him to add on to his order but he didn’t want to. Soooo oh well for him lol. However he wants to come back here and order something else next time… And I’m all for it. I’ll be back again.

Very consistent good service and food. I usually get the beef enchilada and fish taco platter and ask for lettuce to go with the pico de gallo. While the price has gone up in the last year(almost $ 10 for the combo platter), the quality of the food is still good. Plus the veggies and black beans makes me feel like I’m eating healthier.

5 stars for ABSOLUTELYEXCELLENTSERVICE!!! Had one of our meals prepared by Nicole and SHEISTHEBOMB! As soon as we walked in, she greeted us with«Happy Aloha Tuesday» while refilling her veggies on the line! Her smile, her laughter, her attention to detail was so infectious! If I owned a business, I would hire her on the spot! However I don’t so I posted a pic with her on my social media pages and told people if they are interested in hiring her, go and see her!!!

I love that they advertise that they have a vegan burrito! Most places you have to ask a million and one questions to determine what you can or cannot eat. Plus, the vegan burrito comes with guac so TAKETHAT meat eaters! We don’t have to pay extra for guac! lol But, seriously the vegan burrito is great! Service here is typically good. And your burrito is made right in front of you in a couple minutes. What could be better than that?

Talk about let down. Taco Del Mar used to be that go-to place for fast Mexican food that tasted a little more authentic than Taco Bell for a reasonable price. But some sort of dark magic has taken over, and the portion sizes are simply pitiful now. I ordered an enchilada plate, and it was like the worker was preparing the enchiladas for a baby. The meat was just a thin half-inch thick line across the tortilla, and the pico de gallo was maybe five small chunks of tomatoes. The saddest part was that the worker kept scooping toppings, then shaking the spoon until there was barely anything left. When I asked if the portion sizes got smaller, he yelled to his coworker, «What is the size for the pico?», as if to disprove me by confirming. The coworker shouted, «half a scoop, but just give it to her.» Some service. I really only want to come here for the Chile Lime Cholula, but I’ll just seek Amazon instead of being robbed again.

Food is just ok, staff are rude. Everything extra you want to add they will say«that costs extra» and they pause to see if you will spring for it. This is for each topping now. Just give it how we want it & customers will be happy. Also, they give you the third degree if you order the kids meal, «this is for a kid». Went up to get cheese sauce for the child’s chips & the girl behind the counter said«that’s gonna cost you». As if I was expecting to get it for free. Yes, we know you guys charge for EVERYTHING. Getto establishment that’s all I can say. Staff clearly hate their job. Taco bell is probably better, including staff

Always love coming here. They have carnitas and the food is consistent. The staff are always nice and courteous. Price: For 5.89 you can get two tacos or get them as a platter for 2.99 more that includes rice, beans and a drink. Portions: I find the portions to be spot on for me being able to eat until I am full. The tacos always have a good bit of meat and toppings selected. I usually get the platter though. Location: the location is perfect. Although parking can sometimes be hard to find, you have a wide variety of shops to choose from in case you want Jamba Juice to go along with your meal, get a haircut, visit the vitamin world or get your pampering on at the nails salon next to the awesome Koa pancake house. Summary: Taco Del Mar reminds me of Chipotle back on the mainland. Food is always good and you can pick what you want on your meals. Prices are decent and run about 10 per person. Now only to find a Panera and chickfila like food spot!

Good for Hawaii! Small portions in my opinion. When I saw that it was 2 tacos in the combo I was excited for big tacos. No. Normal sized small tortillas. Not bad meat was good fixings were ok. Would have liked white cheese over the seemingly prepared Walmart«fiesta cheese» if ya know what I’m talking about Queso was the queso you get at the ball park on nachos. So nothing spectacular nothing else included. Salsa was the best part! Sweet and delicious! Here’s the thing I will still go back if I’m feeling like some tacos and don’t want to go for SUPER cheap Taco Bell! It’s good just nothing to write home about #Texan

Having moved here from the mainland, this is the closest thing I’ve found to Chipotle. I like that I can pick what I want in the dishes and can see that everything is fresh and ready. The prices are decent and the food is delicious! While this is definitely a Mexican/American style, the flavor is good. They do catering and deliver too! My work used them for an annual staff meeting and it was great. Would definitely recommend them for a quick meal or a group event.

I normally love Mexican food and my buddy highly recommended this place so after golf we had to come here to eat. Now having eaten at many Mexican eateries in LA I have had really good Mexican food. Quality: 4 stars Food was tasty and satisfying. I had the enchiladas with double beans. Quantity: 2 stars Employee would constantly scoop portions tap the scooper so that it was half full before he put it on my plate. I had to ask for more of everything and luckily he gave me another serving(which equalled to the one serving). One would think that asking for more of everything would be a hint. Service: 2 stars Attitude: 0 stars My friend is 65 years old and thus speaks softer than normal and his hearing probably isn’t as sharp as when he was younger. That being said, when asked questions about what he wanted, the manager helping him didn’t/couldn’t hear what my friend was saying. This happened 3 times. So finally my friend took it upon himself to apologize. My friend: «I’m sorry I must be speaking softly because I did answer your question each time». Manager: «Yeah, because I’ve been helping customers all day and I haven’t had a problem hearing anyone else». Such a poor display of customer service from someone in management. 1. Management should accommodate the customer. Not wait for the customer to accommodate him. 2. After the customer says sorry. How much more awful must it be to have the manager remind you that you are wrong and that he is right. Side note: 1. In the window is a sign informing everyone that they are hiring staff & management. 2. The manager could NOT hear the very next customer when they(teenagers) gave the manager their order. So who has the problem hearing customers???

Ugh taco del barf… ok maybe barf is a little bit much. But really disappointed. Ordered the mondo burrito and was really expecting to love it but it was really lacking flavor! Taco Bell wins over this Chipotle wannabe. They also nickel and dine for alot of the addons… sour cream is additional charge? One table outside was occupied by someone loitering even they’re there was a big sign saying reserved for TDM. Really wanted to like it. The guys would bring in their monstrous burritos in during lunch and always looked so good.

I’m not a Mexican food aficionado by any stretch of the imagination so Taco Del Mar is perfect for me. Mondo burritos were huge, but weren’t exceptionally flavorful on their own.(We tried the shredded beef and chicken). Thank goodness I asked for the hot salsa which made it much better. Plus I added more salsa once I arrive home.(We got take out obviously). There’re an extra fee for sour cream, guacamole, etc. I chose not to get either at the time(it was an extra $ 1.60 for both), but reflecting back I’d probably reconsider. I might also consider the cheese sauce as well. On a positive note: kids eat FREE on Sundays(free kids meal with an adult entrée).
