i ordered the coconut rice with sweet /pineapple chicken stir fry. the rice was to die for to be honest! usually when i order coconut rice they turn to be cooked with coconut flakes, not in this place though, they made it from the coconut milk and it was close to perfection i honestly ate it plain without the chicken — a must try!(if you enjoy sweet food) however, the chicken was disgusting! because it had that smell and taste that it wasn’t been washed right so it had that stinky scent to it that made me feel sick, not even the sauce could hide it! since it was stir fry chicken, this one came steamed. the veggies were too fresh they didn’t compliment the sauce. were they in a hurry i don’t know! since I’m a big fan of thai food i was very disappointed with this one! it is a family business and maybe their story to success so i would recommend they are more carful with the meat. another thing is the combination of meat for the noodles with rice had pork in it, not very smart in the British community due to the diversity in religion, diets, and other food habits. i suggest you double check that t serve a bigger segment of the market and keep your option and sources of money open :-)

From outside Siam Siam looks slightly suspicious, but apparently it seemed to be really welcoming. The restaurant is quite busy. Surroundings are really simple, but I in my opinion, everything’s in its right place(except for buckets and mops by the sales counter). I found it exceptionally chilled and cozy. We’ve ordered a vegetarian set for two and soups additionally. Tom yum was ok, but Tom ka, was absolute must to try! Starters were slightly oiy but nice. Better than anywhere else. The mains were absolutely awesome — you get a green curry, perfect noodles, and two more dishes + rice. I swear that was a set at least for 3 – 4 people. Prices were ok. Set meal was around 35 quid, and you can bravely divide it on three heads. Soups were a bit pricey, I think, 5.5 each(but they worth of that!). Staff seemed too be very helpful, polite and nice. I was advised to get iced Thai lemon tea — which was brilliant. Everything was cool, but when we were about to leave, and asked for take away, the lady brought us boxes and told us to pack by ourselves. Obviously, she seemed to be tired(and was also drinking), but we were the last customers, so I don’t think it was too much work to pack for us. I didn’t say anything, just packed and left. That wasn’t nice at all, it’s the first time I had to ‘serve myself’. That’s the only reason I don’t give Siam Siam 5 stars. Apart from that, Siam Siam is a chilled place, with really nice food and helpful staff.

A truly great local restaurant, excellent and truly delicious food and very well priced. Really friendly and hospitable staff always made to feel welcome. The chef is fantastic the best Thai food I have eaten in Brighton. Stands out like a beacon of quality amongst the other(mostly) distinctly average restaurants in that street go give it a try. Having eaten there a few times now, that standards have been kept very high very good value if not extensive wine list.

It’s hard to stand out from the crowd on Preston Street, Brighton’s lively eating strip. And when it comes to thai there is an abundant choice in the city by the sea. Siam Siam managed to stand out both as an eaterie and a venue with vibrant signage and a friendly restaurant. As much a party venue as a restaurant, I’d recommend this place(because it is well priced too) to the party loving groups that flock to Brighton. It would be a great Saturday night stag or hen stop off before the main event. Very much recommended. Dishes are plentiful and delicious.
