This is not a super fancy place to eat, but it’s great for what it is: a casual Korean restaurant serving really delicious food in a cosy, friendly environment. The speed of service is never that good, but the staff are really nice and the food is delicious — go for a bibimbap, or the beef ribs!

Bad experience dinner tonight at Binari. It was not a lot of ppl when we entered. While we was waiting the food coming more and more ppl came. We kept waiting more than an hour but food haven’t served. Even the soup didn’t come when we left. Korean restaurant is much better at London.

I had a lunch date with three of my friends and fellow Unilocalers at Binari today. I don’t know much about Korean food. I’ve had Bibimbap that wasn’t great, and a nice meal in at a Korean restaurant that was delicious, but that’s about as far as my knowledge goes. Oh, and KIMCHI! I’ve had kimchi a few times and I like it. Being the passionate Unilocalers that we are, we thought we would try somewhere in Brighton that we have never been to before, and Binari was the place. Luckily, Lotus G is Korean! And certainly knows her stuff about Korean food. I ordered the Chicken Jimm, and when the server advised me against it, as «a lot of people tend to order it and leave it», Lotus had a quick conversation with the server to find out what was in it exactly, and informed me that I’d be fine with eating it. I am glad to say I was! It was chicken on the bone in a warming chilli sauce/stew, with sweet potato chunks and peppers. It came with rice on the side. The sauce was really nice, but I found the chicken wasn’t great. The skin was all soggy which put me off. The sauce was delicious though! Compared to the other times I’ve had Korean food, this one was somewhat pale in comparison. It didn’t exactly blow my mind if you know what I mean. The Kimchi wasn’t great, Lotus mentioned it wasn’t very good. We all agreed! I don’t know whether I would come back here again, but it was worth a try.

I had a lovely time at Binari, and I wish I could give it 5 stars but the kimchi was sadly terrible. I had the beef bimbimbap which was albsolutely perfect and just as I like it. Sticky rice, egg on top, hot stone bowl. Perfect for a wet, cold day. Along with the ginger honey tea, I felt lovely and comforted and warm. I didn’t go for desert because sadly it was obvious it was all bought in by the menu and the big logo on the front brandishing a big food suppliers logo. But go for the lovely staff, the silver chopsticks and the fab warming food.

Great food and fun experience! I had never tried Korean food so didn’t know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised! Particularly enjoyed the DIYBBQ, lots of fun. Great value for money as well, the portions are MASSIVE! Will definitely try again.

I love Binari — if you haven’t tried Korean food but are in the mood for something with Japanese delicacy, robust Chinese flavour and serious Sichuan spice, then ordering a set menu at this often neglected restaurant is a very very good idea. Awesome Kimchi, Bulgogi etc — they will sell you a beautifully presented multicourse banquet that looks like a tasting menu somewhere ludicrous but that costs less than twenty quid a head. Make sure to order the date tea and don’t be put off if the dining room isn’t exactly full. The people packing out the nearby Japanese and Chinese restaurants are missing a trick. Binari — it’s the future.

First of all, it’s more like a 3.5. I did quite enjoy my meal there and I would go back. They have an extensive menu to choose from and the service was prompt. My friend and I ordered the tteokbokki(spicy rice cakes) which was delicious and spicy. I also had the chicken bulgolgi which was okay but a bit tart. My friend had the bibimbap which looked good and she said she enjoyed it. Next time, I’ll probably try the pajeon(Korean-style pancake) and bibimbap. The prices are reasonable and the owner is actually Korean.

Korean food for the first time in 2 weeks! Got some rabokki going on and bin dae dduk. Rabokki was pretty legit. It was closer to buddaejjigae w/o the meat. I kinda wish we just ordered buddaejjigae instead haha. But then again, we wouldn’t get rice cakes that way. And a bowl of rice is 1.50 here. So sad. Nonetheless, it was good! The assorted meat plate was pretty good with miso soup and kimchi and shiz. All in all, good service and good food! Not too expensive either. I’ll be back for sure.

I’ve been to a few Chinese places in the UK and so far none of them have really met my standards but Binari sure has touched my heart!(maybe not that dramatically) But Binari sure does serve Korean food and specifically Korean food. Got their Beef Bulgolgi and it was delicious! Also shared a hot pot(not sure which one) and it was so wonderfully spicy. Definitely somewhere to go back to when I’m missing Korean food from back home. Pretty good price wise as the Bulgolgi came with rice, kimchi, miso soup, and a small salad. Usually when i get Beef Bulgolgi in the states I just get the beef and rice. Left this restaurant happy and full!

Binari is a pretty good restaurant for those who are craving Korean food in Brighton. They have a wide variety of bibimbap. I didn’t get bibimbap but when I looked at other tables, it looked pretty good. I got tofu jiggae(stew) that costed 5.80. I was pleasantly surprised by my tofu jiggae and rice. It could have been a bit spicier and the selection of vegetables in my jiggae was a bit odd, but it satisfied my craving for Korean food. My friends got beef bulgogi and port bulgogi. Both entrees came with a handful of meat, salad, soup and a bowl of rice. They gave us kimchi as well. I was hoping that they’d give us a variety of side dishes because that’s what I’m used to when I go to other Korean restaurants, but that didn’t happen here. I’ll probably go back in the future and try bibimbap.

Great Korean place serving bibimbap(and other things) in a stone bowl! This usually costs extra in the Los Angeles, folks, yes, even in K-town!
