Went here for lunch this week, the lunch special for £5 was delicious. I had spring rolls as my starter, and a beef flat noodle dish, all fresh and good size meal. I will go again! Staff was friendly, i think the lunch special is from 11am-5pm

This place is a joke. Should be closed. Clearly for people who do not have a clue what Thai food is about? Completely useless. Thai people would not feed those junks to their dogs. Poor ingredients or for sure lack of it. How can you have a Thai dish and when you asked why there ain’t a chillies, they chillies in Thai food? LOLOLOL. Please avoid, get your some disgusting McDo and you will still feel better than wasting your money in this junk. A disgrace. I can assure you none of the Thais I know would even grade this this resto as F, it’s simply ungraded.

Great range from the menu, good simple food as well as good service at a reasonable price. More like a café where you can hang out rather than a restaurant. Also, there’s a good deal on at lunchtime which I believe is two-courses for the price of a main.

Oh Little Devil Rose. I’m a firm believer in second chances, but if this were a school report it would read«could do better». If you’re looking for an easy and inexpensive Thai experience this may be for you, but Brighton has a veritable list of Thai eateries doing a much better job. With most food joints of this ilk the lack of décor is secondary to the real draw, which is the promise of plate after plate of delicious Thai treats. The prices are great. Starters and soups for under £4 and a choice mix of salad, curry, stir fry, seafood and noodles offered up for between £5−10. An absolute steal! I went for a meal with a group of friends, but by the end of the evening we felt like a group of strangers. The lighting inside was really bright and harsh removing any chance of a relaxed mood. It was a quiet evening, but the complete silence made us feel apologetic with every noise we made. The waitress didn’t engage with us at all and our request to have our food come out at the same time was missed. The table size for four of us was inadequate, but we’re used to the fun of the«pack ‘em in, pile ‘em high» philosophy of similar establishments. Unfortunately, our table wasn’t regularly cleared and we mounted our own pile of used dishes on a nearby vacant table. I opted to share some starters including spring rolls, chicken wings and prawn tempura. They were satisfactory, but way more greasier than I expected. I tried to feel optimistic about the Tom Kha soup and the Pa-Nang curry I was about to tuck into, but the taste of both left me underwhelmed. It was also unusually cold inside and the dying topiary bushes at the entrance need to be put out of their misery. Following some recent unfavourable press I was really rooting for this little Thai on the edge of town. Past Unilocal reviews gave me hope that there was plenty of good value and authentic food within to win me over. I hope they get the chance to turn it around, but in its current state Little Devil Rose is truly sinful.

The food here is very good and inexpensive too. From the outside it looks nothing special — more of a street-food dive than a restaurant — but that’s what makes it feel authentic. Delicious food is cooked & served by friendly Thai people — and they attract locals and people seeking-out food they remember from visits to Thailand. Lunchtime specials are specially good value at under £5. Their zingy salads are a treat.

If you are dreaming of a plane ticket to Bangkok read on. I don’t really like Thai food in England. There, I said it. But Little Devil Rose Thai Noodle Bar serves the Thai food I love when I’m in Thailand. It’s the food you get on the streets, or, just off the streets. Or, in someones house, if you’re really lucky. The really exciting stuff. I’ve had my eye on Little Devil Rose for months. I literally haven’t been able to get it out of my mind since first spotting it a few months ago. Last Thursday, I was in Brighton and determined to finally go. It didn’t disappoint. If you like Thai food. Even if you think you might like Thai food… Especially if you’ve hated most Thai food you’ve ever had in England… You need to go here. You need to go here, as soon as you possibly can. Sit down, choose a drink from the under counter cooler, or bring beer from the off license next door. Order a Som Tum and ask for it extra spicy(it comes in a set, but just ask if you’d like it on it’s own). Get some sticky rice and anything else you want. Be adventurous and order things you have never heard of, England is missing out on some of the best dishes in the world with«Fried Rice» «Pad Thai» and«…Mixed Meat Chow Mein». The Kuay-Tiew is really good, but I’m willing to bet the menu holds even better. I can’t wait to go back and try the Lap and grilled pork. Anyway. The Som Tum is what it’s all about. Eat, drink, enjoy. Keep ordering. Smile, lots. Soak up the Thai chatter and atmosphere. Leave happy and full. I am now so jealous of anyone who lives in Brighton, if the rest of the menu is as good as the Som Tum Little Devil Rose is a winner. Not quite a plane ticket to Bangkok but very nearly as good, and a whole lot cheaper.
