I came here with my husband and my mom for lunch, while the food was great and the prices were ok the service could use some improvement. Our waitress was a bit rude and not very helpful, we had to wave at her multiple times because she wouldn’t come to ask us if we were doing ok or if we needed anything. She was only nice at the end of the meal, when it was time to pay. We are both originally from Fajardo but moved a couple of years ago to DC for work. I honestly think we didn’t get treated well because we are on the younger side and basically locals. I’m pretty sure that if you’re a tourist, you’ll get a better service. P. S. The coconut arepas are to die for! We ended up buying them frozen to take them back to DC. We ordered 3 fried chillos, sweet plantains, coconut arepas, rice and beans and it was all very good. The only thing I would stay away from is the«tostones with lobster», they were tasteless.

I would start the morning at the Vistas for breakfast and or brunch then had to El Bohio which is an awesome little secret in Fajardo. The ambiance and décor is very basic but the restaurant makes it up in service and food. Depending on the time of day the flies can be a bit annoying but the food is amazing. The shrimp, crab and beef tacos are awesome. Decently priced and they take credit cards. The lobster with butter is spectacular as well. You can’t go wrong if you want local seafood.

Outdoor seating only. We were bothered by flies and I left with many insect bites. View was not good and service was slow. I had the mofongo with overcooked, tough shrimp. Salad was mediocre… simple iceberg lettuce with a tomato slice, served with mayo-ketchup dressing. Overpriced and waitress seemed to be bothered to wait on someone. And we were the only customers. Skip this one!

Food was good and fresh. Breeze was amazing right on the water, and the waiter was excellent, very friendly! Only gave 4 stars because I thought they were a little over priced… but will return!

We had a great meal here. One of the best deals within walking distance to El Conquistador resort. Glad that we took the recommendation from our bio bay tour guide and came here. Fish was very fresh, fried hog fish was excellent, best coconut arepas, my husband had the grouper which was excellent. We felt we got a good value for our food compared to other restaurants in the area.

pretty good home cooked seafood but quite pricey for what it is. I’m not sure, but I feel like I probably got the«tourist ripoff price». We brought our own fish for them to cook, thinking we’d get a discount for supplying the main ingredient. When we did this at Racar down the street, they cooked it for us free of charge as long as we ordered plenty of other dishes and drinks. At El Bohio, we ended up being charged $ 40 for them to cook a fish we caught and brought ourselves! And this is for a small grouper that feeds 2 people. It’s our fault for not negotiating the price, but the restaurant also made no effort to inform us they were going to charge so much. Other items on the menu also seemed overpriced. The atmosphere is humble. Outdoor seating under an overhang and a tent atop a concrete driveway. No view. The food is actually not bad, but the possible price gouging left a bad taste in my mouth and I would not return.

A little off the beaten path in Fajardo, but worth it. They serve wonderful tacos — we tried the steak and fresh tuna. Great food for the price. Highly recommend the coconut bread from the appetizers menu, too. It’s addictive!

Just had the best mofongo with shrimp in garlic sauce! Rasonable menu prices. Don’t miss the coconut flan for desert. Yum!!! We will be back and will try the fish next time before our vacation is over.

Although the fresh fried snapper was delicious, after dining at other local restaurants, we feel that we were gouged on the price. Our snapper that fed three ended up costing 42 dollars. Service was alright and the complimentary fried bread with garlic butter was OK. Then we got our order of shrimp which was also pricey considering the number shrimp received. I am not saying that the food was bad, it just feels that given the other alternatives close by, this restaurant fell towards to bottom of our list.

Usually when you hear good reviews about a place you end up being a little bit disappointed but that is not the case here this place is amazing. The food is incredible the service is in even better. The Mojitos are you must try, overall I would never come back to Puerto Rico and not come back to this place again you should try it. One more thing, try the coconut arepas.

Amazing little place! Worth the walk! Freshest fish you’ll find. Try the conch /seafood appetizers and get a whole fried fish! Delicious. Great service.

Given that this restaurant is located down a dirt road, adjacent to a construction site, in a poorly fenced off shack, I was surprised the food was very good. To be honest, I am surprised I ate here. I am surprised my husband even talked me into getting out of the car. Very dive-y and literally a shack. Single me would never be here, but apparently love does make you do STRANGE things. My husband has been on the hunt for a fried red snapper ever since the local restaurant shut down, taking his beloved dish with him. Believe it or not, this is the THIRD spot he tried during our THREE day trip to Puerto Rico that listed a fried red snapper on the menu– –neither had fish in stock when we arrived. His relentless craving for a fried red snapper brought us here for lunch. We sat at a dilapidated folding table, covered in a clean-ish table cloth, in cheap plastic patio chairs and my husband ordered. I admit, I pulled out some Clorox wipes and wiped down EVERYTHING. My husband orderd the Camarones(shrimp) and Lobster taco wraps and the elusive fried snapper. The waiter brought over some Fried Bread as a starter. The Camarones(shrimp) and Lobster Tacos were surprisingly delightful. The sauce was delicious and the taco wrap was quite flavorful. Fried bread was deicious! Just the right texture and seasoning. I couldn’t make out the precise flavors, but they were delightful. Finally, my husband’s Fried Red Snapper… DELICIOUS! Different than the one at his previous restaurant, but amazing. He devoured it and was thrilled! The perfect amount of crispy outside, flakey inside… Given the look on his face, I knew if we were here another day, we would have been back for every meal. ***Note this restaurant is located well past Estacion, just before the loop where you rent the kayaks. Down a tiny construction laden driveway looking road with a restaurant sign that is not visible until you turn around on the road.

Banging food! I got the fried whole queen snapper and rice and beans. The beans were extra amazing! I loved the flavor of cilantro in there. My hubby got entrana and rice. I tried his steak it was really flavorful. We got the coconut arepas for app. It was really good. I liked the simple salad they give u too! I took a tres leche back to the el conquistador and it was the best one if had so that’s amazeballs. Also the young girl who waited on us was super nice and a sweetheart :). Also got to feed the poor lil souls the rest of my fish and hubby’s steak. They weren’t feelin the maduros tho. Picky lil starvin dogs lolz. Overall tho it was a great place! We will def b back!!! It’s a shame that it’s 20 $ to and from the hotel tho.

This place is amazing! We were sent here by our fishing guide at (Capt. Juan). He filleted our 8 lb. snapper for us and we brought it here to be prepared. They did half fried and half grilled. Both were amazing!!! The fried fish was cooked perfectly and not greasy at all — very light. The grilled fish had great seasoning and grilled veggies with it. So yummy. For sides, we had the reg. and coconut fried bread — unbelievable. Like sopapillas without the honey.(so good we took extra home!). Salads were pretty basic, but fresh. Beer was cheap, too! $ 1.75 per. Very close to biobay tours and a perfect stop after. The owners are commercial fishermen so you know the fish is fresh. Whole meal for 5 people was only $ 53! Very clean place and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Wish we had another night on vacation to come back!!! Don’t miss El Bohio!!!

Wonderful fresh seafood — garlic arepas, seafood salad, crab taco. And top notch tres leches for dessert. The kind of place where the locals eat.

Without a doubt, the most memorable dinner during our week-long stay at El Conquistador Resort. REALLY fresh seafood and cool 1960’s Puerto Rico vibe. Waitress-owner was extremely friendly. Fried whole fish was excellent… we tried the grouper, red snapper, and yellowfin tuna — probably would suggest yellowtail if you can try just one. Fried bread was awesome — be sure to try the fried coconut-flavored bread.
