Everything we ordered was amazingly played and tasted amazing. Our Waiter Freddie went out of his way to make us comfortable and happy. Would recommend this place to everyone I know. So good!

Went out to dinner for my birthday during our stay in Puerto Rico. The service was excellent. We were greeted warmly by the manager and our server was polite. The food was delicious and the plating was beautiful. The scallops were cooked perfectly and my boyfriend’s skirt steak was cooked to the temp he requested. We were offered a complimentary appetizer as well as a sweet shot after dessert(when I asked what it was the server compared it to egg nog LOL). The only issue I had was the table we were sitting at: it was wobbly and the top would tilt to the side. I didn’t find this too much of an issue, and didn’t want to be difficult and ask for another table. All in all, we enjoyed our time here.

I LOVE DiYukas’ twist on their mofongo! DiYukas is located right on what almost seems like a highway, because you will hear cars blazing by blasting very loud music. Unfortunately for DiYukas, it definitely doesn’t fit the ambience of their restaurant, because it is more upscale and proper. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. What I’ve noticed in Puerto Rico, is that the restaurants blast the AC indoors, obviously because it is so humid outside, but if you don’t bring a jacket with you(which I didn’t because I was so hot from walking outdoors all day), you will get cold pretty quick. We opted to sit outside. My brother ordered a sushi roll(I put a picture, sorry don’t remember the name), and it was okay. The rice did not taste fresh and was more on the stale side of things. My dad ordered the red snapper which has super cool presentation, but I wish it came with some sort of sauce! The fish came with some plantain version of «french fries». I loved my pescado mofongo. In the cup, the mofongo is sort of broken up into pieces and is a very soft mushy texture, from being doused in the sauce. They definitely don’t skimp on the pescado(fish). That was definitely the highlight of all the things we ordered. Service is wonderful. Our waitress was so kind! She brought out all our plates at once. My dad and I ordered white wines to start off with, which were yummy. I got the Pinot Grigio and him the Chardonnay. We also got on the house um how do I explain. horchata shots? There was whipped cream and cinnamon on top and questionably some alcohol? Hehehe The restaurant does face the ocean, but kinda hard to see when there are trees blocking it.

Really nice service from all, wait staff, bus boy etc. Mojitos are spectacular. I had the classic. The coconut shot for dessert was scrumptious. Fried calamari was tender with a red spicy sauce on the side. Shrimp mofongo was really tasty with peppers and onions. Better than I’ve had in Queens. Lol. Pork tenderloin with mustard was a bit dry but flavorful. Skirt steak was cooked as ordered and marinated well. We were so happy with our decision to come here for our first dinner in Fajardo.

Wanted to like it more. I’m a fan of Peruvian food, love innovative combinations, but I also understand that we’re not going to find world class cuisine on this small stretch of road in Fajardo. Still, this place was a disappointment. The apps started out well enough we had the yucca fish cakes which were not bad. Then the sangria came — tasted like watered down orange juice with some apple slices floating in it. Couldn’t finish it. The red snapper tasted a little too fishy. The preparation did not do this normally delicious fish justice. We also had the salmon, which came with an extremely sweet orange sauce(the kind you’d normally have on Chinese style orange chicken). The combination with rosemary was just odd. The setting was very nice and the staff lovely. We truly appreciated the great service. Five stars for the service, two for the food.

Fabulous place, awesome food! Fred(we think), our waiter, was super-nice and gave us some bonus samples and was so accommodating. We had the fish croquettes for appetizer and shared a red snapper and several side dishes(mofongo, yuca gnocchi, yellow rice with red beans, and fried yuca [forgive the spelling]). Everything was delicious, textures were scrumptious, and sitting outside in the warm night made it perfect. Highly recommend.

This place is the real deal!!! The fusion of Creole and Puerto Rican is fabulous. We wanted to order one of each item but we had the fish croquettes and the mussels as appetizers. We had as entries, the orange Yuka encrusted salmon and the Mahi Mahi. Both were amazing. If you are on this part of the island, this place is a must!

One of the best places in the east side of the island. DiYukas is a a fusion between creole food and fine dining. Attention to detail was superb, we had a great evening that began with the«on-the-house» coconut arepas until the coquito shot at the end. Servers were very diligent to satisfy our every need. We started with the fish and casave kroks, that were on point and garnish with an aioli cream. For entrée we did the orange yuca encrusted salmon with coconut rice and the mofongo with shrimp in creole sauce, which were both excellent. To close the deal we couldn’t decide which dessert to choose, so the server offered to bring half of each(yuka custard/tiramisu). Both were very good, but that Tiramisu was insanely good. If staying at El Conquistador, this should be your daily spot for dinner, since its only 5 minutes away. Highly recommended hence 5 stars, which is not something I give everyday! Enjoy!

20th wedding anniversary and Gladys at Las Brisas recommend Diyukas and one other place. This was fabulous we had grouper and Mahi. Grouper was better but both outstanding. Unfamiliar with PR side dish we asked for«chefs choice» and s/he came through with amazingly complementary sides. Best meal I’ve had in ages along with great service and atmosphere for our XXth. Don’t miss it’s worth the flight from the mainland. S/O to Gladys for an excellent recommendation even the con leche after dinner was way above expectations.

This place was amazing. I had the steak diyukasfongo(spelling?). And my wife has the grouper. My steak was out of this world. It was juicy and tender and the dish blended really well. I am not a fan of fish but would eat it on occasion. I tried my wife’s grouper and was stunned how good and fresh it was. The service was great.

A wonderful experience from beginning to end! I give this restaurant 5 stars, for not only its delicious food, but for the service, the ambiance and the views, which are spectacular! Our server, Freddy was very attentive and he made a coconut mojito which everyone should try. For appetizers, we had yuka fritters, seaweed salad, and arepas. As a former restaurant owner in Cambridge Massachusetts I can tell you that the food is scrumptious and the presentation is excellent. For our main course, we has the fish ceviche with yuka fritters and the orange encrusted Salmon with arroz Mamposteado and maduros, which translates into rice and red beans cooked together and fried plantains. Both entrees were excellent, as was desert which was the yuka flan and the tiramisu made with yuka. For those of you who don’t know what yuka is, yuka is a root vegetable like a potato, only way tastier! As the name suggests, Diyuka, or of yuka, most plates will have its share of yuka or yuka infusions and I can tell you that it is absolutely delicious! This place is consistently great and I give it 5 stars for outstanding excellence.

Amazing service and a great view! They were nice enough to give us an appetizer on the house and an amazing dessert shot! Loved it here

My first impression was that it look like a fast food place because of the way the windows and doors were set up, very boxy building, but it made sense once you’re inside and you look out and see the beautiful view. Our server brought us an appetizer of arepas with a white sauce that was delicious on the house. The main course had a great presentation and at least mine entre was good. I had the stuff trifongo with skirt steak. They the waiter brought out a shot of coquito with whipped cream also on the house because their coffee machine was broken and we cannot have coffee. Also the owner came by the table to say hi which we thought was nice. And thou I found the price a bit high, I recommend it.

So, for 2 years I’ve craved trifongo(I had it in Puerto Rico last time I was here and loved it) I’ve been looking for a place that had it for a long time. Diyukas did it for me. I ordered a Piña colada. .I’m not normally a Piña colada kinda girl, but I thought, «when in Puerto Rico. .» It came with a huge pile of whipped cream and fresh coconut shavings. .i could have just had that part. .it was delicious. The actual drink part was mediocre at best. My hubby ordered a coconut mojito(not from a Menu, because they don’t have a drinks menu, but based on Unilocal reviews) it was okay. . We ordered the fish croquettes. .they were outstanding. They definitely don’t skimp on the fish part. Highly recommended. We ordered the trifongo with the skirt steak. A. mazing! The steak was cooked perfectly, the trifongo was exactly what I had been dreaming about for 2 years! Must order this dish when you come, or you’ll regret it! We also ordered the pork tenderloin with Yuka gnocchi. the side was on the sweet side, not my thing, and the pork was on the dry side. .but the gnocchi was really interesting, in a good way. I wouldn’t order the pork again. .in fact we both said that we’d just order 2 orders of the trifongo next time. .that’s how great it was. The location was nice enough. .we sat outside, the breeze was great. .but lots of traffic going by. .I’m sure during the day the view would be nice, at night, you can’t see much. .although there was a pretty crazy and long lighting show. . Oh, and before I forget, they gave us complimentary rum and cream shots with the bill. .great final note for the meal..

I wish I could simply say WOW! We called for directions and rolled up to the waiter waiting outside for us. This personal service did not end after we sat down but made our entire dining experience special. Cocktails, coconut mojito(bam!) and hit the appetizers. The food was great, NO complaints on anything. Catch of the Day was grouper and my wife had the scallops. I travel for a living and eat at some of the finest places in the US, DiYukas is on par with the best. Just go, enjoy yourself and give your taste buds a treat, we may try to go back before we leave the island!

PROS: Food is delicious but can be a little bit pricey depending on what you get. Waiter was alway attentive to our needs. Got free arepas de coco and a shot of YUCA with coconut. X4 Price at the end was ok but for what we got we deemed it fair. Cons: Bathrooms weren’t the neatest and the female one has a bathtub in it. Deserts were very small and pricey(but good) There’s no parking and where you do find parking it’s hard to get out(middle of the road) All in all I would go back and take friends

If you are a local, this restaurant will fall under your«average» category. We ordered the house sangría and a coconut mojito. The sangría was very good, the mojito wasn’t. It was a watered down version of a melted piña colada. As an appetizer, we ordered the«Di Yuka Fish Krokets,» which were good. As entreé I ordered the«Glazed chicken breast with tamarind and ginger sauce.» The consistency of the chicken seemed soggy and as of it been pre made and grilled afterwards. The sauce tasted like duck sauce. The«mamposteao» rice was well done. My partner ordered the«Grilled pork tenderloin» which was juicy and tender. The fried yukas were delicious. The service was average. Among the things that I think would make it a more attractive ambience, would be: #1-The music: a playlist that goes according to the custumers that you serve(not a local radio station playing on the background) #2-The lighting inside of the restaurant(it’s too bright) #3-The uniformity of the clothes worn by the employees. I will give props however to the manager, who seemed to be on top of the supervision of the restaurant. I suggest that they have more attractive or creative items for the locals who are used to finding many places to eat a «mofongo» or fish.

Absolutely, positively FANTASTIC. We went there because the restaurant next door was closed, and we were all VERY glad it was closed because we wouldn’t have this gem. The décor is clean, modern and pleasant. The server, Freddie, was EXTREMELY friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was PHENOMENAL. By far the best food we had during our stay, and we were staying at the Waldof and ate at La Estacion. This was MUCH better. All four of us devoured our food and couldn’t stop praising the flavor and quality, as well as the gorgeous presentation/plating. I can’t stand cooked fish because it’s usually fishey… I tried my fiancée’s «catch of the day»(grouper) and it was insane. I ordered the churasco(sp?) steak, and it was delicious, perfectly cooked, and a HUGE portion. The sweet plantains were delicious. The coconut rice was divine. Two of our group don’t like flan, and loved the flan. The tiramasu was great! This was the PERFECT last meal, and the staff was so friendly that we had to pose for a photo with them infront of their sign(not on my phone, but I’m sure one of my friends will post!) Do not miss this gem. Sit outside and look at the lovely view of the bay. Tip: If you park across the street, be careful crossing as cars really whip through the blind curve right before the restaurant.
