Place is ok. Because items on the belt can sit a while, it is not freshest. But it was the only place open around 11.

If you are starving and don’t want to wait for your food, sushi boat is always a great idea. Sit down, order your drink, and start grabbing all the plates from the belt like a mad man. But for what it is here and the price you pay, there isn’t really anything special about the sushi. I’m not saying the sushi was bad or anything, but it was just MEH. I wish there were more options. The staff was super nice and accommodating though.

Zushi is fun place for a fast snack kind of sushi. They serve their sushi on a conveyor belt. Typical. I like that kind of entertainment. And it works. Snacking is really fast this way. Staff is very friendly. But the sushi… Boring. Not very special. The basics without any inspiration added.

Ausweichempfehlungen folgen ;)

I LOVEZUSHI. Finally a restaurant where you are made to feel welcomed and offered prompt service as the RULE. There’s a sign for the servers behind the register I saw once that says«never turn your back on the customer» and it shows in their attentiveness. This is a sushi-go-round concept and you can pick up all kinds of sushi immediately as soon as you sit down. Great for when you just want to get down to eating and are tired of other restaurants where you’re just waiting around for slow«I don’t give a s — » Dutch service to come to your table and sigh with annoyance at every request. If something on the belt isn’t warm because it’s made a few go rounds, they will make it new for you. Also if you’re after something that isn’t on the belt, they’re happy to quickly make it. Plenty of good hot dishes to share in addition to sushi. Best selection is during the peak hours… but try to come right before closing time if you’re up for a late night snack — sometimes you can snag freebies for take away that would otherwise be trashed at closing time. I’m always happy to come here and they remember us with a smile each time. Thanks Zushi!!!

First thing’s first: this place does not serve authentic sushi. There’s mayonnaise in practically every roll, though luckily the sashimi and nigiri escape the mayo treatment. That being said, the rolls here are pretty tasty. Once you eliminate the expectation for traditional sushi, you can sit back and enjoy the sushi buffet that is the sushi boat. OK, technically it’s not a boat but a conveyor belt, but whatevs. I had tasted a whole lot(and bill definitely reflected that) and liked just about everything. The only thing that was pretty unpalatable was the gyoza. Greasy nasty things. Ambiance was pretty cool. I brought a date there and was pleased by the blend of casual, trendy, and hip that was our backdrop. Lots of exposed brick, some soot encrusted candle sconces, and inviting looking bar. Pro tip: be sure to check out the menu online because there are plenty of things(such as miso soup) that they serve but need to be asked for specially because they aren’t offered on the conveyor belt.

The first time I dined out at Zushi, it brought back a lot of «happy memories» of my dining out experience in Tokyo. Zushi is consider one of the top sushi spots in Amsterdam because of its remarkable feature known as the conveyor belt, which rotates clock wise around the sushi bar. It’s literally one of my favorite spots to sit down and enjoy chop sticks and sushi. Zushi specializes in a broad range of different western sushi dishes. It’s more then just a place to stop for sushi. This contemporary Japanese restaurant presents sushi dishes to the customer on a conveyor belt. Behind the sushi bar you will notice a chef preparing fresh sushi, one by one on a color plate. The staff and atmosphere is very friendly and relaxing. This is how it works: –Grab a seat at the sushi bar, you will notice a(sushi conveyor belt) that floats around the bar, where the sushi is placed on the color plates. Choose any plate to your liking or specify your preference to the chef. –Order drinks from the waitress. — Select what looks good to chew, eat and swallow –Customers can make special orders for sushi behind the bar but the standard procedure is to select your sushi on the conveyor belt. –After your plates are stacked up, then find out about your bill by adding up the color plates. — Make sure you keep count of your plates because it’s so easy to walk out with a steep bill. Enjoy! I always have a blast here!:)
