One of umpteen-​million Argentinian restaurants in Amsterdam, we headed here for some lunch before going to some museums.
Scott and I both opted for fajitas. Scott had chicken and I had chicken/​beef. both deliciously tasty and generous with the fillings and sauces.
Whilst we were there there was a powercut that affected the whole of the city centre… we had to eat our food in relative darkness, but hey I guess that’s exciting right?
The staff were extremely apologetic, but we didn’t mind as it wasn’t their fault!
I’d recommend going here if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat whilst in town.

Rancho is in a great location just off of a main shopping street. Very nice restaurant with nice staff. The food is good but not the best Argentinian steak I’ve had (hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Ribeyesteak in Ordnung, handgeschnittene Pommes okay, Wein (Hauswein, Flasche) gut.
Spareribs würzig, aber zäh, Rumpsteak war keins, sondern ein unappetitlichlich dickes Huftsteak, allerdings perfekt gegrillt!
Bedienung abgehetzt und gestresst, aber professionell. Tische sehr klein und eng gestellt. wir würden dort nicht mehr essen gehen!

Wow I was quite surprised how good this place was to eat at. The staff were great and super friendly and we got in early are 530pm on a Saturday so had plenty of options for a table, so we picked upstairs by the windows so we could see out into the street and had plenty of natural light. We started with drinks (½ litre) of red wine between us and decided on what to eat after a little while. The staff were good and made some recommendations to ensure we got the most suitable item that matched what we wanted. The food was delivered fairly quickly and was visually appealing and smelt great. I got the two steak mixed option with no fat and a little fat and it was delicious, the fries that came with the meals were a decent portion size for sharing and we’re super crispy and lekker. The meal cost just over 70 euros for 3 steaks and the wine but certainly felt like great value considering a lot of these steak places are hit and miss. I’d recommend this place for sure and if you love ribs from what I saw you will be in love.

Restaurant argentin. Accueil sympathique, jolie décoration avec des peaux de vache aux murs. Attention au choix du plat, mieux vaut prendre un plat carrément typique que des ribs ou des steaks qui au final né sont… que des steaks frites normaux sans rien de particulier. Une viande de 300gr. 25 € en moyenne. Très bonne soupe borsch.

Ein hervorragendes Steak Haus. Bei der großen Auswahl an Steak Häusern in Amsterdam ist es gar nicht so einfach etwas richtig gutes zu finden. Die Steaks sind auf den Punkt, und je nach Wunsch, zubereitet. Für Paare mit großem Hunger gibt es passende Angebote, die man nur empfehlen kann.
