I loved this place. I was by myself and I love omelettes. Pretty much anything you want to put in omelette. Nice greens served with breakfast and a great cup of coffee. Very friendly service.

Omelegg has some serious branding wins. Their logo is adorable and their laser-etched wooden menu is a nice touch. What can I say? I’m a sucker when it comes to great marketing. But it lives up to the image it presents. Long lines make it look hyped, but great food and moderate prices makes Omelegg a real winner. If you’re going during the weekend, go early. I repeat: go early. My parents and I arrived around 11am… and waited nearly 45 min to get a table. Once we were seated, service was prompt(and this definitely surprised me as service tends to be a hit or miss at moderately-priced restaurants). My parents ordered the Viking Fisherman and Italian Job. Neither would let me try their plate(I’m not bitter about that — just kidding, I totally am). I ordered the dates, a sweet take on traditionally savory omelettes. Fluffy eggs contained walnuts, dates, honey, and cinnamon. It sounds like a weird combination, but I quite enjoyed it, returning an empty plate when a server came by to clear our table. Omelegg has become a standard stop for breakfast/brunch whenever friends visit me. Their wide selection and perfectly fluffy omelettes are a permanent fixture whenever I have company.

My wife has to be gluten-free and this place catered to that need beautifully. The menu natively has many gluten-free options, but the staff is knowledgeable as well. There were many choices of omelets to chose from and about 90% were combinations that I’d never think to create. However, they tasted wonderful(ex. dates, maple syrup, and cinnamon. They also open early which is rare, and you can start your day off right with a good amount of protein at a decent price.

Great place but cramped and perpetually crowded. The staff are friendly, and the vibe is hippie meets hipster. Very touristy as the Dutch don’t go in for breakfasts like this, but that’s ok. The omelettes are huge and there are so many fillings you can’t go wrong. A wonderful lo carb breakfast option and a friendly homey place in an area that borders on sketchy at times.

We had a layover in Amsterdam for a few hours and stopped in for breakfast and a hot coffee(did i mention it was a rainy 44 degrees farenheight, after being in Dubai where it was over double that temperature?). Coffee arrived immediately, food within 5 min. 2 of us got omelets and one sandwich. Delicious, very fresh bread, generous portion sizes. Only bummer was that the croissants weren’t ready yet because we got there right at opening. Otherwise, highly recommend! Come in early, because this place is small.

Food: Outrageously good. Service: Average/slow. Seating: Tight, be prepared to wait outside because it’s not a large shop. Atmosphere: excellent, nice setup and cool vibe. All in all, despite how bad they treat me I’d keep coming back for the Food.

After walking through the red light district on a Sunday morning, my friends and I arrived at Omelegg to find that there would be a wait outside. We were a group of 4. There were two couples of two taken out of line before us, even though we were there first. Inside, there was a couple sat at a table for two, sitting next to each other(annoying). THEFOOD: It was incredibly hard making a decision. The menu was full of options that all sounded delicious. I wanted to get the Viking Fisherman, which was an omelette with smoked salmon. Instead, I got the Scrambilicious sandwich of cheesy scrambled eggs between a croissant and added smoked salmon. It came with a side salad as well. It was so delicious, I could have ordered another one. With a large cappuccino the meal cost about 11 euros!

Pretty small place but big on flavor. Had the El Chirizo this morning. Pretty large portion but could do without the ‘salad’ but guess it’s a cultural thing. Would come back again.

Great and friendly service. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced and each dish was served with a huge slice of delicious bread filled with nuts and seeds! We had the Greek wedding omelette which was amazing and the other three of us had the make your own breakfast where you chose how your eggs are cooked and can top it with a huge selection of items. Cute décor as well!

Excellent breakfast. Had the ‘Big Ben’: two eggs, bacon, sausage, beans and fried onions/mushrooms. Plenty of food, service was excellent and a great atmosphere. Easy to find, just off the Central station and a 5 minute walk from the Dam square. Will go back!

This place was super cool. Nice vintage rustic feel to it and everyone was super friendly and spoke English. The menu was quite extensive but a good variety and all of the dishes sounded great! Even with a «make your own» section. The coffee was pretty good for Amsterdam coffee and they were very grateful for my visiting. Would definitely go back when in holland again. And recommend it for the old Aussie traveling and wanting a delicious egg breakfast.

Pure awesomeness. Food is really good, the service brilliant, atmosphere flawless and music cool. With a little of hipster vibe, but. I’ll definitely be coming back here.

This little restaurant is far from being mediocre. Though, you may need to wait outside to be seated, the wait is worth the omelicious experience. The service is quick and the salad that accompanies the omelets creates an explosion of flavors that can almost be described with a palette of colors. The croissant is must try!

I write a lot of 5 star reviews. But this place was really worth the grade. The serice was very pleasant and much more hopi table than alot of other places we visited. The food was freaking awesome. I ordered the chorizo omelets with brown bread and my girlfriend had the zucchini. I ordered a fresh memosa and my girlfriend had a café americano. The entrees and two drinks and three bill was 22 euro. Super good value. The place had super high marks on charm.

It was very busy and there was a bit of a wait, but I don’t mind waiting for good food. The service was very friendly which was a nice surprise. I had the Dutchie omelette and a latte. The omelette was superb and was intensely rich, almost too rich(if that’s even possible).

In LOVE with this place! Came here two days in a row as it was right around the corner from where I stayed in Amsterdam when I visited. The interior is clean and bright and has a great vibe to it. It gets really busy around the later morning but if you come early service is lightning fast. The food is amazing. The portions are huge and keep you full for a while. The omelettes are delicious and there are many options. Every order of omelette comes with salad and bread. You can also order other things like sandwiches and pastries. Overall, awesome place. Wish I had one of these where I lived! Also better that I didn’t, or I would go there everyday!

No complaints, no flaws, absolutely five stars A+++!! Can not rave about how fluffy the eggs are! Nicest omelette I’ve ever had I don’t even know how they made it taste so good for something that’s just eggs? I never really ate omelettes but a friend recommended here so we where hungover in Amsterdam wanting a good breakfast to pick us back up. They’ve so many omelettes to choose from aswell as croissants and pancakes and tons of juices. The menus actually huge. Wish I had time to try everything. They had a special with chicken, bacon, cheese and red onion marmalade. We were both going to have it but only one was left so I’m not as fussy as my friend I went for the three cheese omelette(Gorgonzola, mozzarella and ricotta). The omelettes where huge and sorta still runny in the middle! Unreal! Carrot juice is really good too. I’m starving writing this now I need an Omelegg in Dublin! :(

Ok… there is not much more I can say about this place other than what everyone has already said! I live right down the street from this Omelegg location and other than having a complete man-crush on the dude with the cool mustache, they make some MEAN omelettes here! Have you ever seen those videos about making a perfect fluffy omelet? You know the kind that is basically a yellow eggy cloud in the sky with the perfect color, perfect fluff, and those Shar Pei like wrinkles? Yeah, these guys pretty much nail all that and then some! But the best part… the innards. I will just state here and now, that I will always order the Peanut Butter and Banana omelet. If you were ever wondering if it would be good, I will tell you that my mouth and stomach both have multiple eggasms when eating this so, you be the judge!

I’m going to keep this one short and sweet because it doesn’t need fluff. Omelegg is good food, with good morning drinks(juices, coffee, tea). Whether it’s at this spot or de Pijp, you can’t go wrong. It’s always cozy with smiling faces. It is a small restaurant, but worth the wait. I recommend the classic, the Scramblicious. But the Voilà! is perfect for a quick meal. Go and enjoy!

We enjoyed breakfast at this new Omelegg and the older one the day before based on positive Unilocal reviews, and both didn’t disappoint. The brothers who own the two Omelegg’s do an outstanding job, and if you’d seen the dump it was before they remodeled, you wouldn’t believe it was the same RLD location. It shines out like a shaft of gold while all about is darkness … and it’s thriving. It is clean and bright, and the laser engraved wood menu tablets in Dutch and English are cool and classy. Every table was full from the moment we arrived until we finished. My wife had the currybock omelette, reminiscent of a German currywurst. The curry was mild and slightly sweet. I had the Dutchie, and the cheese, mushrooms and spiced Dutch ham in a perfectly cooked, large omelette was served with a fresh croissant on request — their bread that normally comes with it is excellent, but I had a hankerin’ for a croissant instead. At the older restaurant, I had the Farmboy stuffed with meats and veggies, and my wife had the chicken satay. Plates come with a small cabbage and rocket salad. Really creative flavor innovations for omelettes … they have a sweet one with bananas I’ll try next visit. Their house coffee, quite good, is packaged for sale and you can enjoy a Belgian Jupiler if you want a beer. To top it all off, breakfast for the two of us was less than half the price of scrambled eggs at our hotel. The prices are very affordable … and they have free wifi. And yes, the brothers/owners both sport trademark handlebar moustaches. They really must be commended for how nice they remodeled the former coffee shop. I hope their restaurants continue to thrive. Well done!

A good omelette is quite tricky to make and Omelegg nails it! This is their 2nd smaller location closer to Amsterdam Central which means it is really convenient if you are downtown. It is a bit small and is crowded all the time, however they turn the tables very quickly so you likely won’t have to wait long. I was there on a Saturday morning at 11am, prime time for brunch, and only waited 5 minutes. Food: 5⁄5 There is a huge variety of omelettes to choose from and all of them are seriously tasty. You can also customize your own omelette. I highly recommend anything with chorizo or bacon in it. For people who don’t like eggs, there are other options such as salad but then they would seriously be missing out. Service: 5⁄5 Service is fast and efficient but you don’t feel rushed either. Tables are turned quickly so you won’t have to wait too long. The staff are very friendly and still manage to check-in despite being so busy. Top notch service, even by my American standards. Atmosphere: 5⁄5 This restaurant is smaller than their original location in De Pijp but it retains the same décor style. Cozy, barn-house kind of feel. They do not take reservations and isn’t great if you are larger than a group of 4. Single diners or groups of 2 are seated the fastest. Value: 5⁄5 The food here is a steal — the most expensive omelette is € 9 and they are massive! You will leave feeling full for the whole day.

First, amazing food. Egg is always a great choice, right? But when you serve with spinach, cheese, olives and… even peanut butter(!!!), it is simply the best. Second, amazing staff members. They are both polite and funny. And easily switch from Dutch to English(I speak Dutch, my sister doesn’t, so it is important). Third, perfect location(omelet after getting of the train — cool!) and amazing menu design(it is made with laser cutter, that I love so much). So… I quess, see you again soon!

This is a gezellig little spot in a small alley off Warrmoesstraat and Zeedijk. It’s a warm and inviting restaurant. They’re open for breakfast to lunch. There is a nice selection of omelets and breakfast items. I had the viking which had salmon, chives and dill along with sour cream. It came with a small salad and your choice of white or brown bread. They lost the fifth star on account of I felt cramped in a booth near the front and I’m a small person. I’ll go back again and sit in a different spot. They’re also dog friendly.

Two years ago the two brothers started this place from the ground up. Seven days a week the original Omelegg location is loved by locals and travelers coming from every corner of the globe. Their attention to hospitality, love for food with a soul and continuous hard work is truly amazing. On the first day this location was already completely full, and the energy flowing through the place was very impressive. Anybody that has met these two guys can feel their passion for what they do, and only for that it is a solid reason to visit one of the two locations. The variety of omelettes is mind bubbling; whether you are a meat lover, vegetarian or have a sweet tooth, this place will create a smile on your face when you leave. Wifi is provided, alive and kicking(password: breakashell). Definitely check out their freshly made mix juice(apple, carrot, orange or ginger). Proud of you guys. Keep going strong!
