Stumbled upon this restaurant while wandering the RLD and what a great find! Wonderful to people watch while you eat fondue(if you can grab a table near the window). The friendliest service I’ve had since arriving in Holland.

On our recent visit to Amsterdam we ate at this restaurant. Food was good so we decided to return for a second time. Upon arrival the waiter remembered us from a day prior and asked us if we wanted to seat in same table and we said yes. We were two couples and 2 toddlers. After a little while we noticed and older couple yelling something but we didn’t pay attention. They were complaining about our kids. To our surprise the waiter was fueling their discontent by telling us across the room that we should take out kids outside. After this incident we immediately ask for the check and we left. We did not get the name of the waiter but he was a tall white gentleman. Maybe Amsterdam is not kids friendly city but we certainly did not expect this treatment from this restaurant. I recommend this restaurant to put a sign saying kids are not welcome.

My friend and I decided to take our family for breakfast there yesterday and the waiter noticed we had two kids under 3 years and was very nice. We had a great breakfast so we decided to return. We return today started to have breakfast and one of the kids. Started to cry, so a local over 60 years started to complaint and a different waiter asked us to leave. Other people could not believe what was happening, this experience was by far the worst. At some point they were all kids or have kids and have gone through a crying baby, but this establishment obviously did not care and asked us to leave. Of course we were handed the bill of 80 euros and did not allow us to finish. I am so disappointed of this establishment and for visiting this country.

We’ve been here three times in two days that’s how awesome this place is! Try a cheese fondue or for a really decadent treat get a goat cheese sandwich with bacon!

A great place for cheese fondue. You can choose between a couple of different cheese fondues based on for example traditional southern Dutch beer, Italian spices or original Swiss cheese. Served with a variety of different vegetables and limitless bread. Great!

Stopped in here for an afternoon coffee and snack. Stumbled upon the fondue and the cheese filled spring rolls. Wouldn’t get the spring rolls again, but holy moly was that fondue good. The kind of cheese I dream about(I know, sad). Delicious. I think we got the house special one(with olive tapenade and tomatoes???) Total tourist trap part of town, but well worth dealing with the crowds.

Fondue was good, but try their steak! I got the large portion with sauce medium rare and it was one delicious steak!

Great breakfast — large portions, fast, friendly service. A bright star in the tourist-trap district of Warmoesstraat. Watch out for the resident cat — he will bite!

Accienne fondue(cheese w/whole mustard) and rump steak very nicely done. Hopping place, staff was great, crêpe suzette and calvados for dessert. Good for kids.

This place is okay. The prices aren’t the cheapest and the food portions aren’t terribly big. At the same time, the interior is unique and homey-feeling. I didn’t have the fondue, so I can’t rate on that. Though, I heard the pancakes are good.

This place is amazing. Everytime I come to Amsterdam, this is the first place I go! First, they have amazing fondue. Out of this world. They also have a wonderful pancake breakfast. The service is fantastic. The location is perfect and the prices are great as well. It’s a must stop when in the red light district!
