A quick stop before renting our bikes. Beautifully decorated café. I tried 6 of their macarons: coconut, macadamia, nutella, dutch cookies and cream, red velvet and pistachio. Not the ultimate best but good quality.

A great place to lounge and enjoy a lovely cup of flower tea and sweets. Customer service was excellent. The cupcakes looked irresistible in here. The only drawback for me was the cupcakes are not gluten-free for celiac folks, but i guess we can’t have it all. However, the macarons are gluten-free. Sounds ideal, but I am allergic to nuts too, so no luck for me in that area. I was surprise to learn that the main ingredient for macarons is almond flour, egg-white and sugar. Never the less, I enjoyed every bit of the vibe in here.

Stumbled upon this place while walking down Overtoom on the day of our arrival. We happened to see all the wonderful macaroons displayed in their window and had to stop in to try them. My boyfriend has never tasted them before, so it was great that our first dessert in Amsterdam were these little guys. We shared 4 different types and I had an espresso as well. We sadly didn’t have a chance to stop by again before we left, but we definitely will next time! The price was great and they tasted delicious! :)

Cute little bakery on the overtoom. I came to sample their macarons displayed in the window and was not disappointed. The lemon was especially delicious.(And macarons are usually gluten free!) 1.50 € each but worth gathering up your pocket change! The café also features free wifi and usual assortment if coffee, tea and glutinous delicacies.

I thought the cake was pretty good here — unlike many places in Europe, I think it would appeal to the American sweet-tooth. Unfortunately the coffee is just bad. Maybe if you’re in the mood for a cup of tea and a cupcake?

This place has a trendy upscale feel but the deliciousness of their treats backs up the atmosphere. The only drawback is the scary spiral staircase to get upstairs but I guess people here are used to that sort of thing.

Nice quiet place for whatever you’re up to. Working with their free wifi(which didn’t work when I was there), a private day time date or meeting, or just to enjoy their goodies. If you’re a chai tea fan like me, you should definitely check out this place. They have every flavor chai made by David Rio, premium chai tea brand.

Work enviornment: Nice atmosphere and is less crazy than stuff closer to the centrum. The shop has free wifi. Downstairs, there are a few seats with power outlets, and upstairs there are large comfy leather couches and chairs, as well as a table with chairs. There are power outlets everywhere upstairs. I sat and worked here for several hours, occasionally sampling the delicious treats the shop has to offer. I was the only one working in the shop, but it was a Saturday. Food: The icecream and drinks here are tasty and fairly priced. There are also fancy brownies and cakes; I had a slice of carrot cake and it was quite good. I particularly liked that«mint tea» = a glass of hot water with 6 stalks of mint inside. Overall: The best place I found so far for getting some work done online while visiting Amsterdam.
