Lunchcafé Waterloo

Gotta say this place has great food and at a nice price. The waiter was very nice, the food was served quickly and without any problems.

I had been walking around for hours and was cold and exhausted when I came in here. It was my second day in the Netherlands and I was very underwhelmed by the food I had eaten thus far.
I sat at the bar and ordered the Waterloo sandwich and a beer. It may have been the best roast beef sandwiches I’ve ever had. The beef was incredibly rare and melted in your mouth. The pesto sauce and aged cheese on it was incredible. There was only a wheat roll left which they made it seem like the worst option, but I thought it was great.
When I was leaving I told the bartender that it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had and he said «well I’ll see you tomorrow»
I tried somewhere else the next day but I wish I had gone back. I feel like I can’t give a place 5 stars without going there more than once, so I’ll have to give this 4, but this was by far and away the best thing I ate in the Netherlands.

Great place. Such friendly and helpful staff. Great music and atmosphere. Much love to the bartender that bought us a round and took our playlist suggestion
