This might be one of the cheapest shops for vintage in Amsterdam, but I don’t like it very much. Never find anything I like here and always leave empty-handed. The clothing is quite boring/ugly/simple and when I compare this shop to other shops in Amsterdam it is really not worth my time. Maybe you’ll find something nice and cheap if you come here often but I never found anything.

Aw Out Of The Closet, a little peice of home in Amsterdam. Its a great unpretentious used clothing and vintage store. Unlike other vintage spots in Amsterdam, its not overly styled which is nice, and the prices are cheap. I’ve shopped at the ones in Oakland and Berkeley in California and they’re a really great organization and thrift store started by Magic Johnson(famous basketball player). When u shop you know your clothes are benefitting a good cause — HIV/AIDS prevention and research. Like all U.S. locations they offer discreet and FREEHIV rapid testing, which means you know your result in 20 minutes and it’s super private. No blood draw required, they collect saliva for testing. They have resources for follow up with results as well. They have two entrances, one is off Waterlooplein so after or before you shop in there, stop by, you won’t be disappointed.

The staff here are so lovely and friendly(and all seem to be English?) I had a root around their € 1 bin and found some gems. Definitely worth a look, and it’s for a worthy cause!

I was happy to know that OUTOFTHECLOSET– a popular chain vintage shop was now in Amsterdam. I had stop by the shop to drop off a big bag of clothes. Love the staff, I found them to be very upbeat, kind and friendly. I am a big advocate and fan went it comes to shopping and giving back to the community. I only knew of the shop in LA, which was nearby by my old place. It was highly known for the community and popular celebrities giving a significant amount of donations to increasing awareness and fundraising on behalf of AIDS across the world. So if you have not spring cleaned your closet yet, then this is the perfect place to drop your no needed clothes off. Shop, browse through the store and maybe you will find a few interesting peaces of inexpensive items and remember it’s also for a good cause, so that makes it even better!:) OUTOFTHECLOSET is now in Amsterdam. It is about benefiting Global Aids to people all over the world. Locations of OUTOFTHECLOSET are in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami and now in Amsterdam. They are now currently accepting donation for clothes, which will benefit AIDS/HIV patients and prevention services. Currently providing health-care services to people all over the world. The funds earned by the vintage shop goes directly to into the organization to free aides around the world. In addition it includes free testing for HIV/AIDS prevention, education, and treatment programs. 96% percent of the funds provided goes towards free medical care services for people who are living with HIV/AIDS in USA/LATIN AMERICA/EUROPE/AFRICA.
