The food was good but I felt the service was not up to par! They charged for everything they possibly could! The waiter didn’t have standard things on the menu and seemed to not want to make naan bread for either our table or the table next to us.(He said it would take 45 minutes and it was almost 6:00, close to prime dinner time). He seemed like we were an «inconvenience». We asked for tap water, «no they don’t serve that, but you can pay for bottled water». Then when we went to have our leftovers boxed up not only did he charge us for the boxes and bag to wrap the items up but also charged us for the extra rice to go with our leftovers! We brought this to his attention and he said he was sorry but we had to pay for boxes, bag and rice. I will not return. There are many other places that I can go and have a nice atmosphere with accommodating wait staff that welcome my business.

Best Indian you will have in Europe! I go to Anmol almost once a week… absolutely YUM!

Solid place– good Indian by an Indian’s standard. Properly spiced and really nice staff. Would definitely eat there again– the décor is very humble and isn’t super hip, but that’s not what you’ll visit for!!!

Awesomely delicious Indian food in Museumplein area. Best Indian we had eaten in Amsterdam & it matches the high standards of Indian restaurants in London.

WOW! Really delicious food, rice included in the price and refills of it are free. Owner is the friendliest, seriously don’t be fooled by the lack of decoration. Lots of vegetarian options too!

Great place! The décor reminds me of simple Asian or Mexican restaurants in the US, and the food is the same: authentic, tasty and at a very decent price. I was pleasantly surprised by the service we received. Very friendly for Dutch standards, and the Indian lady explained to us what everything was. If this was in the US I would probably rate them 4 stars, but you don’t find many places like this in The Netherlands, especially with this kind of service.

this is an hidden gem: excellent indian food, in large quantities for an affordable price! Don’t dismiss the place just because the interior seems plain, the food is incredible. We were craving indian food, so we started looking for a restaurant near our place(leidseplein). One of the places mentioned on google was Anmol and since i usually trust Unilocal as a source for reviews, i’ve check it almost immediatly. There was only one review from a dutch Unilocaler… it was a 4 star! That was enough to at least give a try, so we decided to go there because it was really close to home. We ordered some starters and a main dish for each one of us(i got a chicken biryani). We also decided to order some naan, becase we love it. Everything was delicious and we were so stuffed that it was impossible to finish everything; fortunately the owner was so kind to bag the rest. As a drink we got Mango Lassi and two glasses of beer. We split the bill equally and we spent 20 euros per person. I think we will return during the next days :) They also do take away and delivery service, but i don’t know the details about it. It’s open from 16 pm to 23pm.
