The food was OK. The costs though, seem to be one or two dollars more per meal here compared to other Mexican Restaurants. I doubt I will be back

Holy crap… This place is DE-LICIOUS. My boyfriend took me here for the first time a few days ago(his family’s been going here since he was a kid) and I was surprised it was SO good. The waitress was really really friendly and brought us chips, salsa and water as soon as we were seated and also took our drink orders(which are strong btw, whoo!). We only waited about 10 minutes before she took our orders and the food came out very quickly and hot. He got the chicken enchiladas(like always) and I got the cheese. I can not rave enough about this place I highly recommend it and I know he does too.

The food is superbly authentic! I haven’t had such great Mexican food in a long time! The staff are also great and their customer service is on point! This is definitely my new favorite restaurant! Love the food and the staff!

Awesome food. My gf and I loved this place. I ordered the Hidalgo plate(steak, bacon wrapped prawns, chicken breast with rice and beans) my gf ordered the shrimp fajitas. I’m Mexican and thought these beans were great. Def recommend this place.

I’ve always liked it here. The staff is super friendly and I’ve never had a bad meal. It may not be mind blowing but definitely worth the price and awesome if you live in the area!

I’ve lived about 5 mins away from here all my life and I’ve been here numerous times the food never disappoints but its not like«OMG this is the best mexican food ever» it’s just good and never disappoints but the salas for the chips is really good. One thing is I can’t say I’ve tried everything on the menu but the quesadillas are

Wow. My husband and I came here for lunch. There was only two other couples in the whole place. We got our chips and salsa and never saw our waitress again! We sat for twenty minutes, ate our chips, drank our water and left. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLEHORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. We will never go back.

Great prices. Lots of food. Usually quite good and the service is good for a small hidden restaurant.

I’m giving it three stars not because the food or service wasn’t good, my husband and I got our food for take out, I specify told the woman taking our order I only like the enchiladas with green sauce and that’s what I wanted. My husband ordering a meat dish. Arriving home my enchiladas were plain had only cheese and sour cream on it which was disappointing because the food was great. My husband did not get the beans he asked for on his dish either. We will be defiantly be trying this place again but fingers crossed they get our order correct and I have give this place more stars

Bad food. Bad service. I have never written a review before but chose to this once because I want to help prevent people from making the same mistake I made by coming here.

Atrocious service. 7 requests for salsa before it stuck in the waitresses mind. A grand total of 1 refill of water… After having to ask for it while waiting in our check so we could leave. Food tasted bad and commenting on it to the waitress netted a response of «oh yeah, it’s really good!» Not impressed, we will never go back.

Food is good, desert isn’t that great(flan didn’t taste like flan lol). Food is a little pricey and the wait time is long. All in all I’d probably come back.

I’ve been here twice and really love the food. I’ve had the chicken enchiladas and recently the steak fajitas. The flavor on the steak was delicious. This is our«go to place» for quality Mexican food.

Since most people I’ve met don’t know authentic when they meet it, they go to Taco Bell — we go here! Wasn’t crowded Super Bowl night either. I know their food is good, but really love their Arroz con Pollo — so don’t want anything else! We also love some sarsaparillas with chocolate and whip cream. Mmmmm… drooling. I wish I had some right now.

I ended up going to this place on a dare from a friend to see who would get food poising first. After living in Phoenix, Arizona while going to college I finally had a taste of what«Good Mexican» food should be like. Browsing the menu I was disappointed to not see any kind of happy hour options and the second biggest disappointment was the fact items on the appetizer list were just as much as a regular fully loaded entrée. I also checked out the kid menu because apparently youngins can eat for $ 1.99 on Saturdays or something. It looked like they had chicken nuggets with fries and burgers as a back up in the event your little snowflake has a boring pallet. Nevermind the rickety booth seats with a single mom and her three crotch fruit in tow, who managed to make my seat feel like I was in an Amtrack rail car every time they jumped around instead of shovelling food into their gullets like most people do at restaurants. But I guess I can’t complain, it is Spanaway. The complimentary chips and dip were good. As other reviewers mentioned, the red salsa was runny… but it did have a good kick. The green salsa was great, very limey and cilantroish. I requested some pico de gallo and the waitress had no problem dishing it up and bringing it out. After I added a little bit of it to the red sauce– the runny problem was solved. My husband and I split a chicken in mole and sopapilla dish. I also ordered a Ponchito drink. The drink was Tampico and grenadine with a cherry on top. I was hoping to get real orange juice. Sopapillas were warm, puffy and chewy. I was pleased we received 8 wedges of fried bread topped with cinnamon/sugar, whipped cream, chocolate sauce and a cherry. Pollo en mole es asi-asi…in other words the mole was ok. The rice wasn’t dry which is a bonus. I requested corn tortillas and was given three. The beans needed more work– like add some cumin, garlic and onions. The mole sauce was sweet but like the beans, fell flat once you swallowed the food. I was full after sharing two dishes, so portions are good. There probably won’t be a second time.
