Great coffee, cold service. I live just down the street from this place and I have to say that the coffee is excellent, but I really wish the baristas were more friendly or would at least smile. I tend to get a chilly attitude from the staff which makes for an unpleasant experience which is too bad because the coffee is great.

Free wifi, easy to walk to, clean with outlets below seating. Great coffee, quiet atmosphere for reading or studying. Friendly baristas. Love this place!

They remain Eastlake’s best alternative to the Green Giant with the questionably-presented mermaid motif. Excellent barista here, knows shot timing, knows foam and presentation. Don’t drink that nasty corporate stuff. Just don’t. Get your Joe from this joint.

Surprise! Voxx does not do their own coffee. Instead, they buy from«Lighthouse.» Hey, I really don’t care where did the coffee come from, as long as it is good. Like everyone else in Seattle, it is the standard«Italian» style coffees of espresso, latte, etc. I am happy with my Americano to the point that I took a picture of the beans. Yes, you can also buy beans.

Coffee is really good! Ordered an iced caramel latte that I would definitely come back and order again. I came to Voxx to get some work done, so it was nice to see free wifi and tables. The reason I’m choosing 3 stars, though, is because their wifi is extremely slow… It would work for a little, then not work for 10 – 15 min. Trying to get work done is hard when the internet isn’t working.

This is a see and be seen pretentious kind of place. I ordered a 16oz soy latte with a few pumps of vanilla… what I ended up with was a bitter 8oz latte that could strip paint off the walls. I took a few sips, walked down the street, and threw it away. No thanks!

Was disappointed everyone was talking very highly of their coffee here and I found mine was burnt and couldn’t finish it. The sandwiches were lovely though.

Some of the best lattes anywhere. Their baristas are friendly and very skilled. No doubt they can dial it in each day. You must start with a great roaster for great espresso, but if you don’t have skilled baristas, it goes South quickly. No worries of that here! I have become such an espresso lover that I rarely get flavored lattes anymore; usually a double 8 oz latte is my MO. But I agree with another post about trying the cardamom vanilla latte, so good! Try it iced.

Had some time to spare before a meeting and wanted to try a different coffee shop besides Starbucks. I tried their white chocolate lavender mocha which was pretty decent. I am not quite sure if it was $ 5.00 however. The atmosphere was a great place to get some reading and work done!

My favorite neighborhood coffee spot. Try something off their special menu — the vanilla cardamom latte is always amazing. They do almond /soy etc. Pastries and breakfast burritos sourced from a bunch of great local places. The baristas are nice, the space is great.

A barely serviceable espresso on par with those I’ve had in airport lounges out of instant machines. Generally bland, underdeveloped and acrid. It was largely disappointing as the atmosphere here was pleasant; several tables and large windows that opened to the street created an open and airy environment. Given my pleasure with the open windows I even forgave them for the flies that filled the interior. I would consider giving them another shot(pun intended) but only if they work on their coffee.

I have been a regular at Voxx for the last 5 years. Finally getting around to writing a review… I LOVE the crew here! Barista’s are fantastic. They know me by name and I love seeing their friendly faces at all hours of the day. Always fun banter bringing a smile to my face. Superb quality of coffee(Lighthouse), but ultimately it is the preparation that is so top notch. I am a happy, happy customer. Thanks for all the love over the years buddies!

How I heard of this place: I have driven past it a few times, but only went in after my friend Ami suggested it as a nice place to sit and chat over a cup of coffee. Type of cuisine: Coffee shop with café fare — muffins, cookies, pastries — espresso beverages and wine! One of the latest in café-wine bars around the city. Ambiance: Very 1960s kitchen-esque. The space feels open and large, with tall ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that make up half of the wall space. The window-walls open up in the summer or when the weather is warm to create an indoor-outdoor feel. Comfortable, cushioned bench-seating wraps around three sides of the room, along the window and one wall, with tables adjacent. More tables and chairs, reminiscent of elementary school desk chairs from the 1980s in puce can be found throughout the establishment. An orange couch, thin rectangular coffee table just in front and end tables with large lamps in browns, oranges, and yellows are found at the wall end directly facing the café and the street. Wooden shelves and artwork, in laminate colors and black cover the pale yellow walls. Four cylindrical light fixtures are hanging from the ceiling. The counter and bussing area are streamlined and simple, the font of the menu on the wall behind the baristas is a dirty off-white or even yellowed color, the book selection displayed and the record player circa 1950s in the shelving units create a comfortable, home environment and easy space to spend time studying, reading, or catching up with a friend. What I ordered: On this visit, I enjoyed an eight-ounce hot chocolate($ 2.50) with a lightly vanilla hinted whipped cream and a Macrina peanut butter cookie($ 2). My dining companion enjoyed a 12-ounce hot chocolate($ 3) and a Macrina chocolate chip cookie($ 2). When we were joined by our third friend, she selected a 16-ounce non-fat latte. What I loved: The hot chocolate was delicious and cozy, a perfect treat for a dark, rainy, late afternoon. Why I loved it: The venue is spacious and comfortable. The baristas kind and friendly. The beverages warm and perfectly suited to an afternoon spent catching up with a good friend. Cost: Average($ 2-$ 5 for espresso beverages)

For the record. I told the owner I would never return. He felt that it was better to serve a bitter espresso then train his staff. He also felt that it was not appropriate to give a refund when the espresso was so bitter that it had to be thrown out. Have given several tries… just wish they would get it right! If you look at all my reviews. I am very honest about what I post.

This place would probably get 5 stars from me, except they have a little sign by the cash register that basically says the wifi is free BUT if you stay longer than 90mins please buy more? It’s kind of awkward — I work remotely and post up at cafes for a few hours at a time and I don’t want to feel like I’m not welcome to do so. Especially if the café seating is not«at capacity»(and I always have enough courtesy to buy a drink and a snack anyway, if not lunch or something). Anyway, nice setup, smaller café, comfortable bench seating(with cushions! yay) that make me feel nostalgic about the place. The tables are big enough for posting up with a laptop — for one person though, not two. They have no large tables here except for a low coffee table. Small but decent selection of baked goods and fair pricing($ 2.20 for any size tea, and my raspberry oat bar was like $ 2.50). I think I would come back again if I was in the area. As long as they didn’t mind if I stayed longer than 90mins… lol. Clean bathrooms and free street parking. Quiet environment is perfect for getting work done.

Update from my earlier review: Thanks for responding Voxx: Miichael the co-owner saw my past review and had apologized on behalf of Voxx for their past service. He told me that they have began addressing the issue of friendlier service and so far I’ve witnessed those changes first hand. Last week I came in and to my surprise I had the most friendly experience. It looks like their efforts have paid off. Please forgive me but I don’t know the name of the girl who helped me but she wore a purple retro 60’s Barbara Streisand hat and she gave me the most excellent friendly service. Thanks for listening! I’ll be back for sure now! Cheers, Erik

I love checking out coffee shops. 4 Stars because… I like the simple menu at Voxx. The modern décor. The alternative milk options. I like the open air seating along the glass windows. Minus 1 Star because… Friendly service did not happen for me but the employees sure enjoyed talking and laughing with each other.

*I’m trying, I really am, the coffee is good, they have a good selection of food, been here 4 times now and I live a block away *The Baristas, not sure what the deal is, they seem put out at times, no warm and fuzzy at all on any of my visits, I asked for two breakfast burritos this morning and the guy seemed slightly annoyed especially when I asked if he could grill them *The ambiance is nice and put together just not feeling like there’s a great service level here so far. Coffee is more on the burnt’ish side which I like

Fun, mod coffee shop with good sandwiches and a breezy feel — because on even chilly days they open up a big window that leaves an entire wall open to the air. That means it gets REALLY cold VERY often. Good coffee, was super impressed with the elaborate designs baristas left in my latte foam!

Great coffee shop atmosphere. Good coffee, better treats. Try the peanut butter chocolate bar or if you’re feeling really«Seattle» go for the gluten free, locally grown vegan peanut butter granola bar ;) This place is a super convenient walk and right behind the bus stop. The baristas are always nice & helpful and their seasonal coffee’s are to die for :)
