Where to start, First off is with the panini’s they’re offering on their menu. I think thats what keeps me coming back. I’ve visited this place over a dozen times. Partly because i work across the street. But also coffee is pretty good, but it’s the paninis that keep drawing me back. Every one of them I’ve had has never disappointed. Expect for the temperature once or twice. Just wasn’t hot enough. The flavor was great though. The owner is friendly and quick to help. I was disappointed in the size of the wraps, for a dollar or two more definitely order a sandwich. Overall a great place to grab a quick bite and a hot cup of coffee.

Always love this place, especially great sandwiches and personalities. A Wallingford staple, try it out! You may get lucky and get written in to their tele-novella…

The owner of this business has a great sense of humor, wonderful sandwiches, and great coffee. It’s a little to far south of Edmonds to be a regular, but I would if I could.

While on vacation I made a quick stop for coffee and scones, I was helped my am older gentleman who was eager to help pretty quick and courteous. Prices were a little lower then Starbucks and the coffee was good too the scones were good not the best but easily edible.

The owner is super friendly, and yes, he can be talkative but all you have to say politely is ‘I’m in a hurry’ and he’ll smile and go. I’d rather have friendly than idiots, jerks, or people who don’t care about their customers. I’ve never been kept waiting either, even while chatting, and I go there very often as I live right down the street. I’ve never had a bad coffee here personally. The barista is usually the owner/coffee roaster himself and he knows how to make a great cup of coffee/latte/mocha etc. Maybe the person on here who got a bad coffee was there on one of his very rare days off. I always choose Palazzo over Expensive(pardon) Essential Baking, which is a couple of blocks down, because it is cheaper and the coffee is way better. Also, Palazzo now takes credit and debit cards, it is not just a cash business anymore. Give it a try, it’s a great coffee joint for someone on the go. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because it is not really a comfortable place to sit and have coffee. It’s a tiny little shop and they don’t have room for tables, so there is only a bar against the window with some stools. I don’t go there to sit though, so I don’t care. :-)

I went here this morning after being curious about this place and driving by it several times. My coffee was disappointing. The Barista poured the shots before steaming the milk, which left a burnt taste. Always sad when your $ 5 cup of coffee tastes bad. :(

Baristas have a very dangerous job. Attempting to small talk to someone BEFORE their coffee fix is uh, well, really bad idea. Then again, there’s small talk and there’s «Dude! Just give me my coffee! You’re killing me!». How would you like it if I took 10 minutes to hand you this $ 2 bill*, while other people are waiting? I mean, the owner(?)/barista was quite a nice guy, but slow and I can’t see myself becoming a regular. I, nor my friend, were very fond of the actual coffee either — weak tasting and slightly burnt. Sorry, nice man. I really am. *I use only $ 2 bills for my cash transactions, which makes paying for large ticket items quite adventurous.

Blink an you’ll miss it. The wood & steel box perched above Fisherman’s Supply/West Marine between the U Bridge and Gas Works actually has some good coffee in it! They can also make a pretty good sandwich and have all the standard pastries you’d want — I don’t recall if they bake ‘em there or not, but it wouldn’t surprise me. I used to stop here on my Fremont — East commute in the mornings, never disappointed. .and KEXP fans to boot. :)
