As an anniversary gift for my parents, my sister and I set up a dinner here. Great service started from a phone call. I explained that my parents were not to receive the check. Stephen, the manager, was super helpful arranging this with me. On the night of the dinner, my mom told me as soon as she gave her name –the staff knew who they were & what occasion it was. They were seated right away, to a table with a special card, a rose and complementary champagne. For my dad who doesn’t drink, they served him sparkling apple cider. Their server, Joseph was sharp, polite, and knew the right answers to all my parent’s questions –especially my dad who knows his steaks! The appetizer was lobster crab cakes, my dad had the premium prime rib–(bone-in) and my mom had the sea bass. Dessert was a trio of delicious cakes that had Happy Anniversary written in Chocolate! My parents were blown away by the service and the amazing food! Thank you Capital Grille for making my parents 36Yr Wedding Anniversary Very Special!

The tenderloin surf and turf was amazing as well as the crab and lobster cakes. The creame brûlée cheese cake was off the hook divine!

My friend and I enjoyed the pre-theater pre-fixe menu before our evening at the 5th Avenue. We both had the petite filet and we shared mashed potatoes and green beans. The food was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. We had the sorbet and flourless chocolate torte for dessert and it was like heaven in my mouth. Amazing service and delicious food! I will definitely return!

Reservations are a must if you plan to eat during the dinner hour! Had dinner with a friend from out of town who wanted that upscale steak house ambience and the Capital Grille definitely makes the grade. It was right before the Christmas Eve, so holiday decorations were up, adding some charm to the dimly lit booths. We ordered the crab cakes(really good), Brussels sprout salad(I’ll recommend), roasted yellow potato fingerlings, asparagus, and rib eye cooked medium. Everything was great. Then finished it all off with the rich and decadent double chocolate lava cake. We shared all the food which satisfied the two of us. Service was spectacular, though, I feel a couple times it was difficult to flag someone down to order the next course or another round of drinks. From the time we sat down to our departure, I think we were there for 2.5 hours… A long dinner with lots of time to enjoy each course, and wait in anticipation for the next round. I’d love to come back, though spending $ 200 on dinner(with drinks + tip) for two people, I’ll save it for special occasions.

Capital Grill consistently pulls off a great evening no matter which town I am in, as their staff are friendly and personable, the food is delicious and the décor comfortable. On my recent trip to Seattle, we popped in here to grab a bite on a super busy Friday night given the restaurant we had a reservation at seemingly lost that reservation. Given we had a party to go to later in the night, I didn’t hold out much hope of getting anything to eat but the staff at Capital Grill came to our rescue, finding a couple of bar stools and getting us set up at an area in the bar. How great was that? A couple of glasses of wine off of their terrific wine list and one of their decadent burgers had us in and out and on our way in time for our party and with a smile on our faces. I know they have great steaks and sides as I have eaten at their locations across the country. But the simple act of accommodation in getting us something to eat put a smile on my face and moved this chain steakhouse up a notch or two in my book!

I love everything about the Capital Grille. The food. The service. The old dark interior. The stoli dolies. Per usual I ordered the NY strip cooked medium and per usual it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our table ordered a plethora of sides to accompany our mains,(by the way, sides can be ordered in half orders though not noted on the menu) including, but not limited to, truffle fries, Sam’s mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, asparagus, and mushrooms. We ordered so much food that they had to convert our square table into a round table to host all the plates. My table of four racked up a bill in the many hundred dollars range, $ 135 of which was served in the form of stoli dolies and it was worth every single penny. It was a great way to ring in the new year with good friends, exceptional food and a great atmosphere. Cheers!

Jarrett was our waiter and he was amazing! Food was delicious and service was superb. They had even put a nice red rose and happy anniversary note for us. Very nice gesture. I had the Tuna steak and my husband had the porter house… both were delicious. We also ordered the brussels sprouts which are a must

One of the best steak experiences I’ve ever had! Capital Grille is the epitome of fancy, and it’s a great place to take your special someone or have a celebratory dinner with good friends. From the moment you pull up to the valet parking, to the moment you finish that juicy, delicious steak, the entire experience is pretty darn amazing. The one thing to note though, expect to pay a pretty penny for your meal. Dinner prices are comparable to other higher-end steak houses like Daniel’s Broiler and Ruth Chris’, but I think it’s worth it to try this place out. At Capital, the main steak entrees ranged from $ 50 — $ 65, not including any of the sides($ 10-$ 12). I ordered the NY strip and the brussel sprouts with bacon(oh hell yeah!). The steak was buttery, flavorful with the right amount of saltiness, and the medium rare cook was perfection in my eyes! Also, who doesn’t love to pretend they’re eating healthy when they order brussel sprouts? Just put a crap load of crispy bacon on it and we’ll call it good. In addition to their yummy regular menu, Capital often participates in Seattle Restaurant Week, which is a great way to try this place out without feeling to guilty about the price. **Ratings ** Food/Taste: 4.5 stars Atmosphere: 4.5 stars Customer Service: 4 stars Price: 3.5 stars Overall Rating: 4.5 stars

Came here for a program and I would love to come back! The first time I came here, I didn’t like the kona crusted steak, but I think it was because my friend had chosen the filet mignon which doesn’t have pieces of flavorful fat. I’ve learned to get the Kona crusted NY steak! They are the only steakhouse in Seattle that does the Kona crusted steak. Mashed potatoes were the fancy standard creaminess. The fattiness of the NY steak decreases the bitterness of the coffee. And what’s nice is that since the steak is so filling, it counters the caffeine effects of the Kona coffee! Loved their calamari! It’s perfectly crunchy, kind of like being dusted by the Tempura Gods. And it is slightly spicy as well! It also comes with a slight spicy mayo sauce to dip it in. If I wasn’t in a group setting, I would have devoured the whole plate in one sitting. The crab cakes are also quite flavorful with huge lumps of crab meat and very little fillers.

This definitely beats my favorite steakhouse Mastros! Dry aged steaks, fresh seafood, and superb service! My husband and I decided to go here after the Seahawks and 49ers game. Fairly close to the stadium and we were seated immediately. They have free valet parking which is great because parking in the city is expensive! Our servers name was Jarrett Michael Buffington and was THE man! Very professional, friendly and attentive. He made great food and drink recommendations. What surprised us was the complimentary Stoli Doli martini taster he gave for my birthday =) I was not expecting that and the drink was simply delicious and a must to try! I ordered the seared tenderloin with butter poached lobster tails, a chefs suggestion meal. I ordered the steak medium and it was juicy, tasty and absolutely cooked to perfection! The lobster tails were just as delicious. My husband and I shared the creamed spinach and lobster Mac and cheese. The lobster Mac and cheese was out of this world! It was not too cheesy and had chunks of lobster. By the way they serve your sides for you. Jarrett surprised me again with a complimentary dessert, flourless chocolate espresso cake and the capitals grille cheesecake, brûlée style with berries. It couldn’t have been a better experience. The restaurant had an elegant ambience. Very clean and well maintained. I’m glad there’s a Capital Grille in California for us to return to.

Food was really great and portions were huge. I ordered the chicken and split side dishes of curry cauliflower and grilled asparagus. The sauce on the chicken was the best part of the meal. The biggest disadvantage of Capital Grille however is the price. While I don’t mind paying for a great meal, $ 28 for chicken is really high. The bill for two of us was $ 168 and that included my chicken meal, tuna entrée, two side dishes and two glasses of wine. Another slight negative to keep the review at 3 instead of 4 stars was the service. The place was empty on a week night but service was slow.

Visited this place last week for an anniversary. Luis was our waiter, and I have to say, the BEST waiter we’ve ever had. Very knowledgeable about the menu, made recommendations, was honest when we asked him his opinion, and to top it off, he was the just kindest man. He was so so amazing. The menu here was perfect. Expensive, but prices make sense for the quality/quantity of food. We ordered one of the steaks(not sure which) and I had the seared tuna. Sooooo yummy. We also shared a side of lobster mac & cheese and it was just so creamy and tasty. Definitely coming back and requesting Luis!

I went there for dinner with my husband and a couple friends last Saturday. Food — the bread was served warm! It’s like freshly baked from the oven! Bibb salad was good. Steak was cooked perfectly how we ordered. I liked my bone-in ribeye with balsamic. The little sour flavor from balsamic made the steak less greasy. Service — our server Luis was awesome! He was very knowledgeable of wine. When we mentioned we shared a salad, he told the kitchen to split the salad for us without us asking! He checked on us a few times to make sure we got what we needed. I definitely go back!

So no complaints. I was craving steak and creamed spinach and both were cooked perfectly. You know how creamed spinach is, if it’s not done well it’s just awful. They nailed it though. Tasted delicious. My filet was cooked perfectly too. Which I could have taken the rest home… ah work travel hotel life. Great happy hour menu.

What a delightful experience! The Capital Grille has all the décor of a classic east coast steakhouse — low lighting; dark wood panels, heavy white tablecloths with the occasional deer head mounted on the wall. My friends and I arrived thirty minutes before our reservations and they accommodated us by seating us early with a smile. It is the details that make a dinner good to exceptional. Upon being seated those of us who were wearing darker clothes were given black linen napkins and those of us who were wearing lighter clothes received white linen napkins. When someone left for the restroom a passing waiter would refold the napkin and place it on the table. Our drinks never ran dry. It is the little details that make me go oooooh. Our waiter was a kinder older man who reminded me of my grandfather — very nice with strong opinions. I appreciated that immensely! No wishy washyness, no kowtowing, he gave honest recommendations and they were spot on. I had the filet mignon with crab on top and béarnaise sauce. It was stunningly delicious. After dinner he provided us a small cheesecake and chocolate dessert as a welcome to Capital Grille! The cheesecake was so good we ordered another! Our waiter would frequently stop by to make sure everything was good, but never was intrusive. Everything came out delicious, the service was incredible! I couldn’t help but to recommend Capital Grille!

Happy Hour review only. Great happy hour! The bar is very ritzy and has that feel of Old School Business Deals. The drinks and snacks are now $ 8. I tried the Bohemian which was good but very strong fresh grapefruit taste was a little overwhelming for me. I also tried the signature pineapple drink and it was AMAZING. I would recommend that drink above all others(as it was recommended to me). The staff was friendly, pointed out the people in the painted pictures & served us some curried nuts. Did get pretty busy at the end of happy hour but was fairly empty around 5pm.

The food I thought was worthy of 4 stars. It was great but a fifth star is added only if the food changed my life heh. However, I thought the service was top notch and worthy of over 5 stars haha. Our waiter, Matthew, was spectacular and took fine dining to the next level. Made sure everything we ordered was prepared exactly the way we wanted. Checked up on us throughout our meal but wasn’t too overbearing . The specials of the night all sounded delicious: 35 day dry aged rib eye, bone in filet and s. African lobster tail. We opted for the dry aged ribeye, s African lobster tail, kona crusted NY w/shallot butter, wedge salad, roasted corn w jalepeno, and fingerling potatoes. Everything tasted great but my only minor complaint was that the sides were overly buttered and oily(I still ate it all though) but i felt a little bleh and heartburnish afterwards. Next time I’ll probably have to request it to be prepped with less butter. My dry aged steak was Cooked perfectly rare and it was the perfect thickness . The 602(601?) vodka martini was the best I’ve ever had. The olives were stuffed with anchovy and parmasean. I’ve never seen that combo before and it sounds weird to have an anchovy in a drink(though I do like them in my food) but that subtle anchovy flavor rounded out and elevated the flavor of the martini in a surprising way. Really tasty ! It’s funny I’m raving about an anchovy martini. Their signature stoli doli martini, made of pineapple infused vodka, was also very refreshing and not overly sweet . What a great night I’ll definitely be back for that vodka martini. :)

Both of the times I’ve been here, I have LOVED the service! Cap Grille has an upscale/classy feel, but I’ve yet to meet a pretentious server. Each time that I’ve been here, our server has always asked if we had time restrictions, which I find really considerate. I think they also keep track of your visits in their system, because they welcomed me back on my second visit. It felt more personable, because they greet you by name. On my second visit, our server was really good at casually suggesting drinks, appetizers, and desserts, without being overly pushy. So far, I’ve tried their Maine lobster roll, and lobster and dungeness crab burger. Both were delish! Their truffle fries were different on each visit; once thin-cut, once thick-cut. Really liked that they weren’t heavily doused in truffle oil, but nicely seasoned. The lobster roll has even become something I occasionally crave now(sad for my wallet). It’s definitely not those bigger portioned lobster rolls I’ve seen on IG. but man, the brioche, the lobster! They also have a «lunch special/plate» where you can choose a soup/salad and an entrée from a list for $ 18.

My previous four star rating seemed like blasphemy after all the experiences I have had with this place following my last review. It was like looking into the eyes of an adorable wide-eyed baby penguin and hesitantly saying, «I guess you’re a LITTLE cute.» This place isn’t just kindaaa good. It’s damn good. Very few places function at the same caliber customer service as this place does. Good lord. The way they take care of you here can only be matched by how your very hospitable and loving grandma who you only see once a year spoils you rotten. Yes, they SPOIL you. I’ve been here for lunch a few times and then for a private event hosted by my company. Every single time was stellar but I have to give them so much props(like it’s the early 2000s) over how they handled our private event. Fewer people than those who RSVP’d yes showed up to the event. As the event started to wind down, there was still a lot of extra food. Even though it felt like a taboo thing to do, I asked for a box so I can take some food home. Our server seemed to take longer than the hot minute I figured it would have taken him to grab a box. When he came out, he had a bagful of already packed boxes. Apparently because we had extra food anyway, they figured they would just grab me a fresh batch of their food and package it up. It was with the thought that 1) I could mingle longer instead of setting up my food to-go and 2) I wouldn’t have to sort through the already picked over food they had out. It was such a sweet and thoughtful thing to do! I was so impressed. Their to-go boxes even have a little note from the chef thanking you for liking their food enough to take it home. That was also very cute. And don’t for one second think that the service is only good when you’re with a private event. I have come here not dressed to the nines for a casual lunch and yet I was treated with the utmost hospitality. It didn’t even feel like a restaurant. It felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. As someone who coordinates meetings/lunches/dinners, I love hosting here because I know that the kind of attention to detail I would want for those events is what this place will give. The food is great. It’s more old-fashioned steakhouse fare and perhaps less interesting to most foodies who want some molecular gastronomy or sprigs of microgreens on their plate. Regardless of that detail, there’s no denying it’s thoughtfully prepared and delicious. It will make everyone happy — to kids from one to ninety-two. Like I can seriously take my toddler godbaby here and if my grandparents were alive, I know they would like this place, too. Overall, great food and amazing staff. It’s worth every penny. Capital Grille, you’re not just kindaaaa good. You’re excellent.
