Looks not so great on the outside/inside. Due for renovations. For happy hour, you have to purchase a beverage in order to get happy hour food. Whaaaat? I’ve never heard of this rule before, so there I went, ordering a drink when I didn’t plan on drinking Got the tuna tartar on hh. It was okay. Probably wouldn’t be back, but I wasn’t planning on going here in the first place. It was just a convenient stop while I was in dt and wanted a quick bite.

We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. empty. saw 4 other people in the place with us. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan with Linguine Alfredo and the Mahi. Neither were good. No flavor at all. Both kind of dishes had a burnt grease taste to them. Had to ask for some bread(which they should normally bring out anyway) just to try and get the taste out of our mouths. For what this place charges for food and the quality that we got, I can say that we will most likely not ever go back there again for food. Maybe it was a one time mistake, but you only get one shot at a first impression.

I don’t know how a restaurant can go wrong with Parmesan chicken and fettuccine but boy they sure did. Slow service, greasy overdone chicken and bland fettuccine Alfredo. Won’t be back to this establishment.

This is another old cornerstone of downtown Seattle. We’ve been coming here for over 20 years. Back then, the Fish House was a special version of the McCormick & Schmick restaurants. Alas, over time, the flair has definitely gone out of this seafood chain. The menu has lost its zing. No more«fresh sheets» options for seafood entrees, no more ½ or a dozen order for the oysters. Now you can buy them individually for about $ 2.50. No more huge varieties of seafood on the Daily Specials menu.(BTW… someone needs to notify OpenTable of these changes — their description of the restaurant is greatly outdated.) Apparently we are not the only ones that have noticed the changes. We were there at around 7:00 on a Saturday night and the place was just about empty. Even our waiter was sad about how the selections have been reduced over the years. We heard that«corporate» is the one that has instigated the changes. They should rethink their strategy. It’s definitely not the special Seattle seafood restaurant that it used to be. At least we have our old memories…

First time here while visiting Seattle. Always wanted to try DC locale since we live in that neck o the woods. Service was great but I hoped for Happy Hour… no room in the bar so happy hour menu was off limits:( The food was great and we left so full(didn’t want to eat as much this eve.). Glad we finally ate at M&S and we will surely dine again, probably in DC.

Service is excruciatingly slow! I’ve traveled to Belltown from Pioneer Square, eaten lunch, and came back to work in less than an hour. I’ve come here on two separate occasions and both times I just sat around waiting to eat and sat around waiting for my check. It’s really sad because the kitchen has great cooks and the front workers are slacking. I’m not sure if I would sacrifice my time again for another dining experience here though. I just posted pictures in case you felt like wasting time but wanted good food.

Raw green beans, gluey over-whipped mashed potatoes, trout is OK, super slow service! Don’t waste your time or money here! Go up the street to Shuckers instead for a very enjoyable experience!

For a chain, this place is pretty good. The décor is totally outdated but the food is delicious and the service is kind. Came here twice with my parents while they were in town, and they loved it. We will probably go back next time they’re visiting Seattle, but for the most part I like to stick to the local places. We ordered the wedge salad to start, which was over-dressed for my taste, and the bacon didn’t seem fresh. Even so, I still cleared my plate, so it wasn’t too bad, I guess. My dad and I both got the Steelhead, which is an excellent cut and was very tasty. My step mom got the seafood trio which looked delicious and she enjoied, and my partner got the steak medallions which she enjoied and I got to taste and liked. The steelhead was what we came here for and wasn’t quite as good as we had remembered it, however.

EATATYOUROWNRISK! The good reviews here were written by employees. If you walk in and it’s empty, you’ll know why. If it’s packed, read this and feel sorry for everyone. don’t be fooled. The service here is horrible. You will be racially profiled and passive aggresively discriminated against upon entering. Happy hour menu items are prepared using old or near expiration ingredients. our steak still tasted like freezer burn. If you enjoy Chain restaurants, Big business, GMOs, gluten, frozen food, and inequality. Eat here.

Had two separate experiences with McCormicks. The first was really fantastic, I ordered the Washington Steelhead and my girlfriend got the Stuffed Shrimp(with Brie). Both of our meals were great, but shout out to the Stuffed Shrimp with Brie, it was FANTASTIC. I mean, really, really good. The next time we went we tried to partially replicate the experience, I ordered something different, but my girlfriend ordered the Stuffed Shrimp again. My dish was decent, but the Stuffed Shrimp wasn’t…quite as good as it was the first time. Not bad, but not nearly as good, either. We’ve never not enjoyed our time here, but consistency IS key! However, I’d like to note that the waiter that served us was totally awesome.

Got engaged that evening, celebrated with a glass of wine upstairs at the observation deck, had one glass of wine i didn’t see a trash can where I could throw it away, we went into the McCormick’s Fish House & Bar, I took it into the bar, to dispose of it, one of the waitstaff grabbed it from me and scolded me, his exact words were«this is a no no» I have never been so insulted. We had planned on having an appetizer and another drink before heading back to our hotel, we ended up just leaving … deflated :-(

Consistent quality food and service for a business lunch. In the rare occasion there is a problem, they always make it right. The hostess is always pleasant and the wait staff that have worked there steady for several years are highly talented and always cheerful. I highly recommend for quality lunch and happy hour drinks and food.

A chain restaurant well passed its prime. It’s like going back in time, but not in a cool retro way. But in more of a «how depressing» way. It had been years since I’ve had a happy hour $ 5 cheeseburger and fries so thought why not. The calories per dollar element was great. But the $ 6.50 for a pint of beer to go with it was not. In the end, not cheap, not horrible, but nothing worth going out of your way for. I couldn’t imagine coming outside of happy hour and paying full price.

We were here for Mother’s Day lunch. We had a big group of 12 people including 4 young children, so there were a lot of requests and demands(my young niece ordered an item from the kid’s menu but ended up not liking it, and they were nice enough to switch it out for us). Our waiter was fantastic, he was quick, friendly and patient with us. The things I like about our visit are: –Customer service(as mentioned above) –Oysters & clams: we tried these appetizers and they were fresh –Salmon(baked & salad): this was great! the salmon was fresh and nicely cooked, it almost just melted in our mouths! –Hummus: I like this dish, its served with 2 different types of hummus and it was delicious! –Cocktails: we had Mimosas & the Millionaire Coffee, they both were good! Nicely done. –They have kids’ menu and all items on kids’ menu come with a drink(milk, soft drink, orange juice) The 2 things I don’t like: –Their bread&butter, the bread was hard and cold(I prefer my bread on the soft side and served a little warm) –Parking situation(like most of restaurants in downtown Seattle, hard to find street parking, you can pay for parking & won’t be able to get your parking ticket validated)

Today was my first visit to McCormick’s in Seattle. The trip was a special one as we chose this place to be say farewell to a coworker. Our group arrived during the lunch hour and our section was prepared and no wait necessary. The waiter quickly took out drink orders. I ordered my favorite dish — a bacon cheese burger. The menu listed it as the«McCormick’s cheeseburger.» I added grilled onions instead of raw. The waiter did not ask how I wanted the meat cooked; therefore, I believed it would be cooked through. I’m ok with cooked ground beef. Upon arriving, the burger looked great and I was ready to dig in. From here it went downhill and became a HUGEDISAPPOINTMENT! The ground beef was bright pink throughout, which is unsatisfactory if you’re not going to give the customer a heads up with ground beef! The onions were terrible! Apparently it’s not possible for this fine establishment to properly grill onions. The bun fell apart with every bite and it became one huge mess. The bacon was decent and so were the fries. Now if I were just rating just the burger this review would be 2 stars. However, I’m rating the entire experience, which includes the beverages. I typically do not glance at the soft drink prices, my bad. When the waiter asked what I wanted to drink I say Diet Coke. I would rather have a beer, but I’m here on a work social event and still have several hours remaining on my shift. When the bill arrived I was floored that the price of my Diet Coke was $ 3.50!!! Are you kidding me McCormick’s!!! Now you went down to a one star, the first I’ve given thus far! In closing, I will never return, nor would I ever recommend this place to a friend. Yes; I realize it was one visit based on one meal and a soft drink. But sometimes you know when you just had a terrible experience and not even a free desert will change your mind or want you to return. Two words to describe my experience — Terrible and Disappointing!!!

I’m a big fan of McCormick’s and often travel with my Landry’s card to rack up points towards future meals. I booked a reservation on Open Table and we decided to later sit at the bar in the back. It was a pre-Valentine’s Day trip and we wanted to celebrate with a fun night out and dinner. We both ordered our drinks, I stuck with my M&S iced tea and my guy ordered a local draft on tap. We started with ½ dozen oysters, then a caprese salad, both were very good. Next up we decided to split a main course with side dishes. We ordered the Lobster Tail and Steak Medallions with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was served perfectly. We were given great service by the bartender and even got into friendly conversation about traveling with one of the managers. It’s a nice and friendly place to be with good food and service.

Soup and salad lunch. Impressed by the clam chowder: packed full of goodies. The Caesar salad was OK but not impressive. I actually would have been happier with a large bowl of chowder and their sourdough bread(which was delicious). Service was great. Generally their lunch items are priced on the high side — about $ 15. By the time you factor in a drink, tax and tip, it’s more than I’m willing to spend for lunch. Great if I could write off this expense. Maybe someone has a consultant job for me. LOL.

I am sorry to say, that as the years go by, M&S has just not kept pace with the seafood restaurant business. The dishes are tired! And when I ordered a crab Louie, they said it was NOT on the menu. But I could order a shrimp Louie, pay for the shrimp AND pay for the extra crab!!! That is just sick1!!!

«Not all that glitters is gold,» is one way to describe the interior of McCormicks. The ceiling is lined with poorly faked, gilded-age inspired tiles and all the wood accented furniture are heavily scuffed. I don’t think they even try to polish anything to cover up the aging decay of this place. Now that being said, the food isn’t half bad(though pricey) and the staff is friendly. We often use this restaurant as a last minute corporate lunch venue. However, I’ve ordered some weird foods here on my personal expense like the day I needed Mac & Cheese and got the equivalent to a homemade box of Barilla Penne with hardened white cheese on top. Or the time I ordered the Blackened Chicken & Linguine Pasta with Cajun Cream. but what the — was I thinking to order Cajun food at a Seafood & Steakhouse anyways? People rave on about the Happy Hour and I think they are decent in terms of food: cost ratio. But for a fool-proof meal-meal, stick to the classic arrangement of a fish of choice, side of mashed potatoes, and helping of veggies.
