Sullivan’s Steakhouse house proved not only to be a compelling exploration for my taste buds, but an absolute atmospheric delight. The smiling faces of two separate hostesses welcomed us at the door — guiding us through the lively and inviting bar on the way to our table. Despite being tempted to go back and join the festivities behind us, we managed to settle in our seats and proceed to study the menu. The ambiance was warm and embracing. Mirrored pillars and walls made the most of perfectly soft lighting, and the general easiness of the staff that made us feel both attended to and uninterrupted. With over 10 different steaks to choose from, I had a minor internal debate before opting for a reliable favorite — the 16oz Ribeye. This protein was cooked to utter perfection. Cutting into the steak released a buttery aroma emitting from that textbook signature shade a pink, alerting me to the fact a small morsel of heaven awaited. As I took in the first bite, I seemed to forget where I was, and the explosion of flavor invaded all my senses. This wasn’t simply a dinner, but a culinary journey of pleasure. The desert was simple, yet satisfying. Chocolate covered strawberries that not only complimented the meal, but set a stimulating tone for the rest of the evening :) Despite not having the same prestige as other more notable area steakhouses, I found Sullivan’s to be a gratifying indulgence I’ll be sure to visit again.

The bar is a total scene: flashy and loud and good. The steaks are excellent, but the atmosphere in the restaurant is a bit lacking. In the old days, this was Union Square Grill, and I’d go there for a nice dinner with family or friends. They’d make a caesar salad at your table and the sommelier was amazing. I think they’ve taken a step down and really just cater to the business crowd from the towers and the guests from the nearby hotels. It’s not nearly as nice, but I’m guessing they’re in a tough spot — can’t be wonderful if people won’t pay up for it. And the bar is still great!

One of the most consistent restaurants around. Excellent service and some of the most delicious steaks I’ve ever had. Great place to meet for lunch or a cocktail after work.

First visit to the place I’ve heard so much about! Had the Grand Prix 3 course. Started with the most amazing meatballs. Moved on to a wonderful lobster bisque soup! Wish it had more lobster. Finished with the New York steak. One of the best i’ve had. Highly recommended. Filet mignon on was also wonderful. Also highly recommend. Waiter was very kind. Ambience of restaurant was very nice. Be sure to dress up a little when coming here. Overall great experience. Will come again!

Value-packed $ 30 dinner during Seattle Restaurant week. To start, we had the cheesesteak egg rolls which I found confusing with the Asian sweet chili sauce. Too bad it was drenched in the sauce, so I couldn’t avoid it. My husband thought the cheese was slimy and off-putting. We each ordered the 12 oz New York steak that was cooked perfectly to a medium-rare and seasoned well. We each had a side that came in shareable dishes. The mashed potatoes and creamed corn were average but good. For dessert, we selected the key lime pie and cheesecake with fresh strawberries. Each came in a nice small round portion. I wish the cheesecake came with more fresh strawberries instead of the two thin slices. They also offer a discounted vodka-pineapple cocktail for $ 7, «The Knockout,» which I opted for and was pleased with the tasty beverage. Service was pretty good and the atmosphere in the dining room area was cozy.

Parents Night Out at Restaurant Week! I would rate Sullivan’s as a step below the«fancier» steakhouses in terms of the food. Minh our server was, for the most part, good until the end. We got the Cheesesteak Eggrolls, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail(#3), Shrimp & Lobster Bisque, Seabass, New York Strip, Strawberry Cheesecake, & Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Everything was pretty tasty and high quality. No real complaints there — but when it came to paying, everything seemed to go downhill. When Minh brought out the checks, I handed him my credit card and gave it back to him. Instead of taking it, he said, «Oh, I’ll come back later for that». HUH? Why come back when I already have it ready… Anyways, he came back with the check later and when we asked him about the garage validation, he said something to the effect that they’re still up at front. So we waited and waited and waited. .. we were all literally standing up in our coats and everything! He comes by around and we asked him where our garage validation cards are and then he tells us we had to go up to the hostess desk to retrieve them? HUH? Most other restaurants would bring them back to us! So we get up there and he’s following behind us and then tells the hostess to start validating them for us! By the time we actually get our validation cards it’s probably a good 30 minutes of waiting around for them!

Service 5 Stars: If you have a special event, I think this place is an excellent choice. We celebrated my gf’s birthday and they made the event and her feel special from beginning until the end. We were greeted by a half dozen roses on the table. Mary our server and Fong(I hope I spelled the name right) were very warm and accommodating. They provided a free dessert at the end and even offered us a glass of champagne. We did not want to drink so they gave a non alcoholic cocktail instead. To top it all, they took a picture of us, too bad they ran out of printing paper, but they will send the framed photo by mail. I was more than surprised how good the service was. Food 3.5 stars First, the bread the serve was actually delicious. It was so fresh that you can still see the smoke when you pull it apart. Very nice way to start the dinner. The appetizer cheese steak eggrolls were too sweet for my taste. The sauce was overpowering. I did not like it that much. We also had the brussel sprouts with bacon. When I heard bacon, I was almost sure it would be amazing. It was just okay. I expected the brussel sprouts to be crispy-roasted but it was more soggy and drenched with oil. I ordered the filet mignon with lobster as my main course. The steak was delicious. Perfectly cooked to my liking(medium), tender and flavorful even though tenderloin cuts tend to be more bland. However the lobster was overcooked. It was actually tough and rubbery. Too bad. Good thing, my gf loved the rack of lamb she ordered. I actually loved it too. The sauce they put was so good, as in really good that it elevated the dish to another level. Not to mention, the lamb was cooked excellently as well. We opted for the NY cheesecake for dessert. Not as dense but creamy enough, which I like. I do not like cheesecake that can break a fork when you slice into it. Nonetheless, I still recommend this place highly. Overall 4.5 stars for me. Good job and thanks for making our night so special!

Sullivan’s is an upscale national steakhouse chain along the same lines as Ruth’s Chris, Morton’s, and The Capital Grille. There are a couple locations in my home state of North Carolina, but none where I live in Georgia. There is, however, a Del Frisco’s Grille in Atlanta. Sullivan’s is part of the Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group. Our group of 10 had dinner at this Sullivan’s in downtown Seattle on a Friday night. This was my first visit to a Sullivan’s and I enjoyed it. This Sullivan’s is located very close to the Washington State Convention Center. When we arrived to the restaurant at 7pm, we were greeted by a band playing live music by the bar. They were the Collin Provence Trio, a jazz group consisting of piano, drums, and bass. As you’d expect of a high-end steakhouse, Sullivan’s is classy and sophisticated. It’s pretty straightlaced in this regard and doesn’t waver from the traditional elegant American steakhouse with comfy booths, dark wooden furniture, and white tablecloths. The long bar area up front leads to two dining rooms in the back where the wine room is showcased through giant glass windows. We ordered a lot of food. Too much food. Our table sampled a good bit of the menu from Sullivan’s wide-ranging appetizers to their soups and salads to seafood and steaks. Expect to spend about $ 12 – 17 per app, $ 10 per salad or side, and $ 30 – 40 each on seafood and chicken entrees. Eight kinds of steak are offered, from the 8-oz filet mignon or 12-oz New York strip at $ 39.50 to the 26-oz dry-aged long bone ribeye at $ 62. The $ 42 prix fixe menu was popular with several at our table. It’s called«The Sure Thing.» You get to chose one app, one soup or salad, and one entrée. It’s a pretty good deal. Here’s a rundown of the dishes I tried: Starters: * Cheesesteak eggrolls($ 13.50) — sweet and spicy chili sauce, honey mustard * Roasted garlic meatballs($ 12.50) — wild mushroom ragout, melted fontina cheese * Seared rare ahi tuna($ 17.00) — pickled ginger, spicy mustard sauce * Crispy Shanghai calamari($ 15.50) — sweet chili glaze, bean sprouts, cherry peppers, crushed peanuts, scallions Seafood Sampler($ 52): * Cracked lobster claws * Cocktail shrimp * Oysters on the half shell — cocktail sauce, horseradish, saltine crackers * Lump crab meat and avocado habanero sauce Greens: * Market Fresh Greens($ 8) — sweet corn, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, vinaigrette Entrees: * 22-oz bone-in ribeye cowboy cut($ 48) * 6-oz filet mignon with garlic horseradish mashed potatoes and Bordelaise sauce Dessert: * Bananas Foster bread pudding($ 9) — caramel sauce, vanilla bean ice cream * Peanut butter black bottom pie — a seasonal dessert The cheesesteak eggrolls are one of Sullivan’s most popular dishes. With a fried exterior, beef, melted cheese, and a chili sauce(similar to Thai sweet chili sauce), there was no question this was a heavy app. It was tasty though. Another heavy app was the meatballs. Three golf-ball-sized meatballs were served in an iron skillet, sitting in a small stew of mushrooms and melted cheese. I enjoyed the seared rare ahi tuna. It was fresh and close to straight-up sushi with a spicy mustard resembling wasabi in taste plus pickled ginger and a crisp, julienned cucumber salad on the side. The fried calamari was gobbled up quick. I’m pretty sure it utilized the same sweet chili sauce the cheesesteak eggrolls did. Fried calamari is a dish that for the most part tastes the same to me at just about every restaurant. Due to my crustacean allergy, I could only eat the oysters off the seafood sampler. The oysters varied in size and I wonder if they served us assorted style oysters. As a big fan of raw oysters, I’d say the oysters I had here were A-OK. Fresh and certainly briny. My green salad was quite alright as well. I liked the ripe cherry tomatoes and the addition of sweet corn kernels. The steaks were very good. I wouldn’t say they were outstanding, but they weren’t mediocre either. A solid 4 out of 5 stars. I had my filet cooked medium rare. The meat was tender, but the texture wasn’t as buttery as I was hoping it would be. Moderate flavor and that was about what I expected. I tried some of the ribeye and it was delicious. Again, cooked medium rare. Lots of red towards the bone. Beefy, thick cut, smooth texture, rich, and fatty. I recommend it. One of my friends ordered a New York strip and it looked terrific. If I ever go back to a Sullivan’s, I’d try their version. The desserts were decadent. The bananas Foster was magnifique. I preferred it to the peanut butter black bottom pie, though that was quite gratifying as well. Service was terrific. Our server was Kathrine and she did a great job handling and interacting with our large group. Almost all staff was dressed in dark attire. I don’t know if it was just this particular Sullivan’s location or the night we went, but every server was an attractive female dressed in all black with a form fitting top, short skirt, and stockings. Yowza.

Bartender by the name of Devon continued to berate the United States Military, as well as disrespecting a member of our party who served his country and served a tour of duty in Afghanistan. She continued to go on and on about CEO’s and how much they make and how little they pay there employees… How much Sullivan Management makes and how little she gets paid. How narrow minded our views are(those of us who served in the military), yet the extent of her travels have been no further than Mexico. An organization who promoted such vies are not worthy of my money, or any other veterans hard earned money since as she put it «you just joined for the education…» Unfortunately this individual does not know nor understand the meaning of sacrifice… When the bartender compares the war on ISIS with Christians bombing planned parenthood, you know there is a major disconnect with reality & society. I, along with my brothers in arms and any other sane, level headed citizen should not spend your had earned money in this or any other Sullivan’s establishment if this is how they treat our veterans… Shame on her., and shame on Sullivan’s!

Walked in without a reservation and was seated immediately. The service was perfect. The bread hot and tasty. Had the lobster and steak bisque which was well prepared(I would have liked it about 5 degrees hotter — but that is my preference). Steak and lobster perfectly cooked and the wine delicious. I gotta met that guy Foster — his banana pudding with vanilla ice cream is too die for. Both the wait staff and the manager were attentive but not overbearing. Well done.

This place is to die for. We started coming here for restaurant week and always had such a great experience. The service is impeccable and everything is always right and timed perfectly. Their filet is delicious and the half lobster is literally a whole half of a lobster. I got it the asparagus to pair with it and a bottle of Spanish wine! YUM! They have an extensive wine list that does not disappoint. For dessert try the banana foster bread pudding, it comes with ice cream! I love their email list, always get tons of amazing coupons! It’s also nice to see that they keep the same servers, friendly faces with perfect service dedicated to making your experience a good one.

We came here for dinner, and ordered off the Dine around Seattle Menu for $ 33. The service here was wonderful; my server checked in on us regularly, and was very polite. As for our food, we ordered the cheese steak egg rolls, shanghai calamari, shrimp & lobster bisque, market fresh greens, salmon, fillet mignon, and the banana foster bread pudding. I didn’t think that the food was that creative or amazing in anyway, but I thought it was well seasoned and everything was perfectly cooked. Unlike other restaurants, this place actually didn’t leave me feeling like I was going to die from high blood pressure because of the salt content. However, I thought the appetizers were a little too rich for me; they were a little too oily and heavy with the sauce. Overall, I loved the service and the restaurant had pretty good food.

New menu FTW. First — let me say — The Knockout is their signature drink and when they tell you about it they call it a «Liquid Vacation» — or at least that’s what our waitress did. I said sure, I’ll try it, not one to be really impressed with cocktails… but holy mother of Jesus this thing was delicious. I will be returning for this alone. Seriously. I had a taste of just about everything from ahi nachos(not bad) to sriracha glazed shrimp(holy yum), to the filet an salmon(ahhh yummmmmmmmm). I’m not sure what their old menu consisted of as sadly this was my first time — but this new menu seemed to be doing the trick.

Unilocal Event We got to taste a variety of their menu items, served by a friendly and kind staff. The food is hands-down excellent. With the capability of sending out 200 perfectly cooked fish, steak and seafood items — the kitchen definitely has it together. While this is the kind of place where I can afford only one special meal a year, I would save up to go here. This isn’t one of those places with really high prices and average food and service — not at all. I only removed one star because I think it may get pretty loud when the place is very busy.

This is a beautiful restaurant with a very talented chef and kitchen staff. The food and drinks were amazing, and we had a spectacular time. I will definitely return for a date or special dinner! The only part that put me off was their female servers’ attire. Why do the female servers wear mini skirts? They’re the short, body-con type of skirt. The male servers were wearing black dress shirts and red ties… And pants, duh. The mini skirt thing really weirded me out. Other than the dress code double standard for their staff, this is a fabulous Seattle steakhouse.

I came here for a Unilocal event and overall thought it was a lovely restaurant. The restaurant is conveniently located right off the 5 freeway so it is easy to find. They also have a parking structure where it costs about $ 7 to park all day during the weekends. The restaurant is nicely set up where it feels very spacious and the décor gives you the feel that you’re at a more upscale steak restaurant. The wrap around staircase gives off a 1920s, jazz age old school feel. The waiters and waitresses were all very attentive, polite and friendly. I did not meet one staff member who was not nice. During our meal, we had the siracha glazed shrimp, buffalo jus grit cake, and ahi nacho. I think my favorites out of the three was the grit cake and ahi nacho. The shrimp tasted a bit dry so was the salmon crunch salad, that we had during the lunch course. I wish the salmon on the salad was seasoned more. The slider also needed a little bit of sauce/flavor. Basically, the slider tasted like a really great Arby’s sandwich! The Filet Mignon, Chilean Seabass, and Bacon Wrapped Scallop was scrumptious. All were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Perhaps I’m not the best person to evaluate dessert since I don’t have much a sweet tooth but I was mildly impressed with the dessert course. We had the pumpkin cheesecake, banana foster bread pudding, and chocolate cake. They were okay. The banana bread pudding was pretty good. It smelled fragrantly like bananas and also tasted very much like the fruit. One of my main highlights throughout the entire experience was the martini with pineapple and orange. It had this nice froth on top that was delicious. It tasted just like juice but alcoholic. You probably can get drunk off of drinking that because the alcohol is well hidden. Overall, I definitely would come back. I thoroughly enjoyed the Unilocal event hosted here.

I attended a private event at Sullivan’s today. While the event was executed extremely well, I was disappointed by several dishes that I sampled. My shaved steak slider was very, very dry and not seasoned or flavoured – this made it hard to have more than a bite of it the slider. The bacon-wrapped scallop was not the best I have had. Yes, bacon is god’s gift to man, but it’s possible to make the dish better with just some more flavouring creativity! Same goes to the cut of seabass(good cut of fish, but meh as an overall dish). What was good? The tuna cuts were fantastic. My fillet mignon was cooked just right. The Knockout cocktail was yum yum yum. And the desserts were great, particularly the molten chocolate cake. However, I don’t think anything stood out to me enough to warrant coming back here at list price.

Attend the Unilocal Elite event here today and it was awesome as always. They had a fantastic alcohol tasting with wines, vodkas, whiskies, bourbons man many more poisons from the state. Everything was really very good. I absolutely loved the variety of the food and thoroughly enjoyed the efforts taken by the hosts to explain each dish. Although I loved the appetizers and really enjoyed them, by slider was pretty dry(wife’s was great) while her steak was over cooked(mine was better). Also, somehow they totally forgot about our table for dessert and eventually when people started to leave we asked them. Looks like they had run out and we ended up with some bread pudding instead of the delicious looking trio. I guess it was a little hard to prepare for so many guests at once and I understand the difficulties with the logistics. Overall a really nice experience. I would love to go back during regular hours and have some of the awesome food again and try new things. I’m sure things ill be even better when there aren’t so many people to serve at the same time.
