Awesome Dan, your place is a home run. Thank you. Visiting my sister and now have a place we can count on relaxing and enjoying a great meal and excellent wine. Loved the meat ball and the pizza sliders. Cant wait to come back.

Cute place, very nice people & service. Breakfast was awful. French toast tasted like cardboard, sausage under cooked and eggs overlooked. Plain, bland, blah. Especially at $ 10 a plate. Stick to pizza & spirits please.

Brunch game is on point! Pizza inspired omelettes, super fresh ingredients, family owned business: yes please. Seriously yummy omelet w marina inside, mozzarella made in house, and sausage seasoned their way; not to mention huge portions. This place is worth a try and a return visit!

Walked in late and they graciously served me enough food for three(most of it to go). Salad, bread, and drinks were good. Pizza pies look good(still in boxes). Love gracious hosts and late(ish) food. I’ll go again, with friends.

Horrible waste of money. Ordered the arugula and prosciutto pizza. Got a barely cooked pizza with raw arugula and cold prosciutto on top. It was a bitter salad on pizza crust for $ 16! Blech! Will never go there again.

4.5 only because the drinks are so much. 9.75 each. The food though amazing. We split a Caesar salad(I saw the hate online about not being real Caesar dressing, SOSO wrong) and is 100 made from anchovies, the pasta was off the hook, yo. Pasta carbonara with chicken and a fried egg. She ordered the hand made ravioli with an extra meatball just because(we ran 12 miles today haha). Huge serving’s and amazing service. But I think after two drinks and two plates of pasta we paid about 80 $ with tip. But we did get a lot of extras added to our bill. Worth it to tell the truth with my food loving ass. But next time I’d keep my bar stocked up at home and ordered 0 drinks.

I can’t say enough about how much I loved the food, craft cocktails, and service at Peel and Press! I had the grapefruit press to drink and it was amazing! The perfect blend of sweet, tart, bubbly, and refreshing! We also had the pizza rolls and shared the prawns, two pizzas, and best of all the ravioli. All the food was to die for. Super fresh ingredients that I found out we’re mainly sourced locally. I can’t wait to go back and try new dishes and some of my new favorites.

This place is a must try in the Seattle area. Started with the Pizza roll appetizer — it was simply delicious as was the shrimp bruschetta. The sauce in the bruschetta had just the right amount of spicy kick and fresh garlic flavor. We went with the handmade ravioli –it will not disappoint! The ladyfriend ordered a Grapefruit press and was amazed as she rarely likes cocktails. We also had a lemoncello shot for dessert… wow!!! That thing had some kick too. All produce is local and fresh from Frank’s in Pike Place market. Mozzarella made on site, handmade pasta made fresh onsite… Who could ask for more? Service was top notch. They even had a TV off to the side to catch the game.

More of a 3.5. First off, when a HH time frame ends at 5:30, you might as well call it frowny hour… you know that feeling you get when you walk in thinking it is still HH and then you look at your watch and you immediately pout because the time indicated on the menu had already passed? Yah that.) Most HH should be til at least 6pm so that’s my first rant about this place. Secondly, price point is pretty high. I had a pizza and 2 cocktails, an hour later yah. approximately $ 45 for myself. Okay, not all is bad about Peel & Press. I must say that their cocktail is SUPER delicious! I think I got the grapefruit press. Made with aperol, prosecco, and fresh pressed grapefruit juice. So good I got 2, although it was $ 9 each! Again, expensive, but it was good. I do like this place overall, just the price is unappetizing. If coming back, I would probably try their pasta dishes.

I love this place and the gnocchi and can’t imagine my life without it! What can I say about this place? Great food(get the gnocchi with pesto), awesome drinks(they have a good selection of wine, beer and cocktails), decent prices, and fun servers. We have been here for lunch, dinner and take out. The lunch specials are a steal, for dinner their pizzas and gnocchi hit the spot! We plan to try them for brunch!

I’ve ordered gnocchi in the restaurant 2x and it was good. Tonight I wanted to treat myself so I ordered the gnocchi but as take out. It was TERRIBLE. It was a gooey mess. I actually threw my $ 18 dish away. I’m giving two stars instead of one because it was good in the restaurant but we will never do take out again. Bummer. We live near and this busy working family would’ve taken advantage of take out.

I was excited to finally try Peel and Press. They’re the new pizza/pasta restaurant occupying the old Abbondanza location in Morgan Junction. We were immediately greeted by several staff members. They were friendly and quickly brought us drinks during the short wait while our table was being set. P&P is a small restaurant, and it was fun to see all of the great looking food and happy faces as we walked to our table. We started with the pizza roll appetizer, which was served within minutes. This appetizer is excellent and worth the drive, it’s a fairly large order, and as the name suggests, they’re rolled pizza bites served with a side of tasty marinara sauce. The three of us loved this dish, and we agreed they were worthy of a repeat visit. When the appetizers arrived, our group ordered our entrees which included: Spaghetti & meatballs, Puttanesca, and Raviolis. It was at this point that our visit started to derail. We noticed other tables seated long after us receiving their entrees. We didn’t give it much thought, but after quite some time our server confessed that she ‘forgot’ to submit our order to the kitchen. Did I point out earlier this place is small! How does this happen? Once we got our meals, there was never a follow up to make sure we were happy. Then when we got the check, it was for another table, and when our receipt was dropped off, there was no ‘thank you’, ‘sorry for all the confusion’, nothing. We were flabbergasted how service could take such a quick 180 for no apparent reason. The three of us in our group loved the culinary experience at Peel and Press. Appetizers were great, salads were large and fresh, and the entrees were all plentiful and tasty. Although there was a comment that the spaghetti sauce was on the runny side. It was the lackluster service that dropped my overall rating to ‘3 stars’. However, good food is the first hurdle for a successful restaurant, and our meals alone ranked a solid ‘4 stars’, which is why I’ll come back to P&P.

Peel and Press is a great spot if you’re looking to build your own slice of pizza during lunch or needing to check out a place for happy hour. The prices are very reasonable and the food and drinks are very tasty. You might be wondering, why not a higher star level? Allow me to explain; they advertise fresh squeezed juice for all their drinks, but what they don’t tell you is they charge an extra $ 2 per drink for the juice in addition to the cost of the drink. For example, I ordered a greyhound, and was charged separately for the booze AND for the juice. The fresh squeezed juice is nice, but NOWHERE do they tell you about the extra charge. Now, it’s $ 2, so it isn’t the cost, merely the principal. Imagine if you came in with a larger group, say six people, and everyone ordered a drink. That’s an additional $ 12 a round that you wouldn’t be aware of until the check arrives. Now that you know about the juice hangup, please stop in because the food really is worth the trip!

The Rustic! Is that the name of the Best Pizza I’ve had in years? Plus, decent on-taps while you wait. Service has been super each time and we will make this a regular on our rotation! I only wish I was within walking distance… a great add to the Morgan Junction in WS.

This restaurant is a definitely a step above the bland pizza and pasta place that used to be here. The pizza roll ups were ok — wish they’d been a bit hotter. They seemed to be made in house but probably pre-assembled the night before. However the marinara sauce was delicious — tomato-y and not too sweet. The cheese pizza slices were ok — nothing stand out. The specialty slices were good though — we had a breakfast slice with sausage, peppers and a poached egg on top. What did stand out to me were the cocktails — there were several interesting signature drinks made with fresh ingredients. I had a prosecco press and watched the bartender use an old-fashioned press to squeeze the grapefruit. The drink was light and refreshing and perfect for a summer afternoon. I would definitely come back for happy hour or after dinner cocktails and appetizers.

I have been enjoying Peel and Press on occasions for dinner and happy hour since they opened and always enjoy some great quality, delicious food. All of their drinks are fantastic, and the sausage and peppers pizza really hits the spot when you’re looking for that cheesy, spicy fix that I often crave. Today though took this establishment up another notch for me. I went to try some of their new lunch fare and I have to say… I am im“press“ed(get it? Press… No? Anyway…) Their turkey sandwich not only was delicious, but a great deal with their side salad. I will be back to experience the brunch pizza slice that they have deemed the hangover. Keep up the good work Dan and team!

Wow. This was some really tasty pizza. This place offers a great concept in dining and drinking together :-) Why would I ever want to go to fast food when their options like this right across the street? This is what local dining and community are supposed to be all about. Well done. Definitely returning soon :-)

After our beloved Red Star Pizza closed, my wife and I have been going the take & bake route while waiting for West Seattle’s next great pizza place to arrive. Our prayers had been answered for months, only we didn’t know it because their beautiful sign(using that Great Gatsby font) is impossible to read from the street. We finally tried Peel and Press and are over the moon — the pizza, the pasta, the service and the management are all world class. I’ve been in Seattle for four years(and LA in 7 before that) and this is by far the best pizza I’ve had on the West Coast. I bring up the management because I worked for years in a family-run Italian restaurant and a corporate pizza chain. In both cases, you can tell the restaurant is running smoothly when the owner is relaxed and working the room. Dan made the three of us(including a tired toddler) feel like VIPs. Plus he’s doing great work to raise funds for the families who lost their houses in the big fire. When the pizza arrived, I was disappointed to see the crumbly sausage topping that I typically hate, but my wife loves(I prefer chunky hand-sliced sausage, not that there’s anything wrong with that). My wife and I both agreed the crumbles were delicious, though I scraped most of mine off from the leftovers at home and used them to make a to die for pasta sauce. My wife got the pesto gnocchi and it was aaaahmazing. Wines are pricey, but the pours are generous and worth every drop. I was the only one having pizza, so I ordered a large(a great value) and that beautiful pie held up to give a slice a day for 5 days — each time it cooked quick in the oven good as the day it was baked(less than 5 min at 400 degrees). Dan told us about their attention to dough, hand-grated cheese, and ingredients(many made in house). The crust is flaky, flavorful and delicious. The sauce is zesty and rich with flavor — I urge you to ask for a to-go cup if you have leftovers. Great for dipping. I can’t wait to try his special pizza(steak fajita) next time it is offered. Follow them on Facebook to keep up to date on what surprises lurk next.

A neat little chill place tonight. Great local hip hop was playing in the background, dim calm lighting, nice ambiance for a semicasual date night out with the hubs. It was our first time but we’ll def be back. Had a Rob-Rita(basically a margarita with bourbon instead of tequila) and an Old Fashion. Both drinks were beautiful crafted by our bartender/waiter and were delicious, not too soft and not too strong. We tried the pizza sliders off of the happy hour menu($ 8 for 3 sliders of your choice). It was basically pizza with sliced French baguette as the crust. We had a caprese, a sausage and a portobello. It was a great way for us to «sample» their pizzas since it was our first time there. All delicious with the caprese being our fav even though the crust was a bit burnt(yes even my meatloving husband chose it over the sausage). The sausage was our least fav… though the flavour of the sausage was good, I wasn’t a fan of the crumbly, slightly dry texture. They just opened October 2014 so maybe they still have some work that needs to be done with the décor because it seemed a little unfinished. The chalkboard typography wall at the back of the place was neat but the décor of the front half seemed unfinished in comparison. Overall great potential to be a successful local spot. Good food, good drinks, good service. Worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Met up with the boys there Sunday for some dinner & drinks. Being a teetotaler these days, I opted for the delicious iced tea. My glass was never empty, despite my chugging. We all started with salads. I asked for the«least salady» offering & was informed the antipasto was served on a bed of lettuce, perfect! It was a delicious blend of meats & cheese that did have some tasty greens underneath. We also had the amazing roll-up, without a doubt one of the best appetizers in Seattle! By the time«The House» pizza arrived we were well on our way to being stuffed. It’s deliciousness gave us a 2nd wind though & we housed The House(save for 1 slice I squirreled away for the morning) in short order. The next morning I made my classic hangover pizza + fried egg. Breakfast is the true test of quality pie, Peel & Press passed with flying colors!

We have both dined-in and ordered out from Peel and Press. It is disappointing to have to leave a less-than-stellar review, since there is so much potential here. The crust is great. So is the sauce. However, they almost comically smother the pizza in cheese, which hides all the other ingredients. Just like Chicago-style pizza is really a pizza-flavored casserole, I’d classify Peel & Press’s offering as a pizza-flavored cheese. We gave Peel & Press another try last night and repeatedly asked for«light cheese». We still had a ridiculous amount of the white stuff. So, this is definitely the place to go if you LOVE extra cheese on your pizza.
