Do not even look at this store… keep driving north or south on California Avenue as there are better Starbucks in both directions. The manager here has created a culture of untrained and ice cold employees. My wife and I bought a nice view house blocks away on top of the hill, and it’s convenient, but every time we walk in we are abused by staff who are so checked out they only think of how soon they can get off their shifts and not deal with you, the customer. The real issue is what you order is not what you get, consistently. It’s infuriating. I now only go to the Starbucks in Westwood(the BEST) or at the Alaska junction, great team there, and very good service. Worth the trip with either way. And if you are new to Seattle, try C + P Coffee a few blocks north on California. That is a real treat! Cheers!

Love West Seattle. This is home. This Starbucks is always enjoyable with the regular combination of newspaper readers, tablet users, laptops and people that hangout or just pass through. I always enjoy it here :)

This to me is a typical Starbucks. They have a clean, sunny space to sit inside or out. They offer their full menu and they have a clover! Every time I have been in here the service has been incredibly slow and not super friendly. It won’t keep me from coming back, unless I am in a rush, then I think I would try somewhere else.

Unfriendly barista. I watched her be unfriendly and talk back to other customers as well. I thought they were required to smile?

So my office did a coffee run and I got a hot choc with van. When k received it I thought it was funny because it was ¾ full. Instead of a 16 oz it was a 12 oz. I called spoke with Amy and she said to come back and she will make it right. She was very pleasant. So following day I came back and same thing. Lol. Maybe it’s just this location i dont know but I’ll go to another Starbucks.

Got a $ 43 parking ticket! Was a few minutes over the 15 min limit in the lot(line for coffee, line for bathroom) and came out for that frigging parking ticket. What a bummer. I will never ever set foot in this trap again. Of course Starbucks was no help.

I have yet to have a decent experience at this location. Massive amounts of people behind the counter, yet there’s always a delay. Unhappy baristas that seem to scowl more than anything. WAY too much attitude. I’ve stopped going unless I have no alternative options.

My favorite drink is a venti quad iced espresso with white mocha, breve, whip cream and caramel on top. Yummy! Everyone here is friendly and upbeat

I go to Starbucks for the consistency, quality and overall enjoyable experience. This location of Starbucks is by far the worst for the following reasons: 1) Not dog friendly, even if service dog — My dog and i went in for a quick cup of drip coffee and a bagel. After filling the coffee to the top so when you walk away it spills all over the floor/cup/your hand, the cashier told us we could wait outside for the bagel because of my dog. Also note, this was a holiday at a very slow time of the day, with few customers. To say the least we felt very unwelcome. 2) Service is slow, baristas are unfriendly — no one is smiling and basic manners are not reciprocated such as customer says please, cashier does not respond with thank you. In conclusion, as a neighbor who lives less than 3 minutes away, walking, I will not be returning because the service is so unfortunate. The one positive is that across the street Thriftway has Café Vita Coffee.

This location is right on California and Fauntleroy, great if you’re out and about and want to grab a cuppa joe. Inside has a lot of seating and is most often clean. I’ve had a mix of experiences in timing on getting drinks, but never had any issues with the so overall, I’m happy.

A girlfriend and I stopped by to grab a coffee after jazzercise around 10AM. The woman at the counter was so friendly and took her time with us, even suggesting I try a new drink, which is now my new favorite! We ended yo staying for almost an hour, entertained with the people watching and chatting. We will definitely be back!

Clogged toilet. Moldy blueberries on my oatmeal. Unapologetic employees. There’s 8 million Starbucks in Seattle… moving on.

This is my neighborhood Starbucks, as in, its 4 blocks from my home and my go-to stop when I need coffee before work, after work, or on the weekends. So I frequent this store often. Here’s what I observe: 1 — Morning crew is AWESOME. They are efficient and super friendly, and they get you in and out pretty quickly without feeling like you’re being rushed. 2 — Afternoon crew… not so much. I don’t know why, but they always seem preoccupied and my drink orders seem to take forever. I don’t get it. Its much slower in the afternoon than in the morning, but its like they start slacking. Grrrr. 3 — Interesting crowd here. Mommies /kiddies. Businessmen/women coffee-breakers. Retired folks. And then the homeless /less fortunate smelly people. You really don’t know what you’re going to get. Overall, though, the store is pretty clean. 4 — Parking is usually pretty easy in the lot behind… but it can get a bit busy back there. At least its free and ample. No complaints. Love that they have a clover machine here, which pushes them to 3.5 stars overall.

I’ve always had a good experience at this Starbucks. The baristas are usually quick and friendly even when the store is busy.

This Starbucks has one of the weirdest vibes to it I’ve ever been in. The barista really took the time to listen to what I want and made me a chiller that she thought I would like and it was good. But unlike other Starbucks, they don’t seem to know what to do after they have taken your order– picking up my drink I shot out an engergetic thanks! and smiled… and no response. It’s just a little grimy in here, like it needs extra TLC. I wanted to just desperately wash the floor. It was gross. The bathroom had some«plumbing issues» shall we say, and wasn’t very clean. Figuring out where to stand in line can be a little weird. Also the music is very loud. I unfortunately sat under the speaker and immediately regretted it. It’s just a weird Starbucks.

I like this Starbucks because it was renovated this year(2012) so it’s all slick and up to date. I also like this Starbucks because there is parking in back! The servers are always nice, but not extraordinary so. .. I judge this based on how dorky I feel if I say anything other than order my drink, and I always feel a little out of place with these quiet servers.

I thought I’d add a positive review since so many people seem to want to hate here. The place is a Starbucks. I’ve probably been to(literally) 200 of them all over the country and no I don’t work there. It’s laid out well, properly staffed and up to Starbucks standards. People complain about the parking but there is a TON of lot parking and street parking around. The only thing I can think of is that the pedestrian nature of West Seattle has people holding a grudge against a chain coffee shop. I’d head to the Indie up the road, but far be it for me to want an egg in the morning. The staff are nice here and they have decent breakfast options.

Average Starbucks, parking is pretty lame. Not too much to say about the coffee, staff, or interior because let’s face it, we all already know what the deal is. The parking for this location is located in the rear and can sometimes fill up. This can prove inconvenient because you have to roam around looking for street parking and the area isn’t too conducive for that…

Its a Starbucks. Just like the one on the next block. However, this one’s air conditioning is cranking. It’s cold inside. That might not be a bad thing on a hot summer’s day, but we haven’t really had those yet in the PNW. I guess would make a hot beverage cool faster, which might be a bad thing. The barista’s are friendly. There is a mix of comfy chairs and tables at which to sit. And in the back portion, there are games to play while you linger at the café(although my youngest kid reports that most are missing pieces). The drinks are consistently to Starbucks standard and the wifi is fast and free.
