This is my first! Review! I’m new to the area and although I entered alone the vibe is fun and the service smiles! The DJ dropped great songs and patrons danced. I’ll come back again another weekend.

CAUTION*CAUTION*CAUTION* We decided to go check this spot out since we were already near by. Should of read the reviews first! I’ll keep this simple. This place not only reaked of urine along the sidewalk(and down the block), but also lingers all up inside the bar! And there were flies flying around everywhere. No AC. And the door was wide open to either, let in the flies, or air out the stank! It was GROSS!

Ehh. I expected so much better. We had friends in town and decided to come here solely because of Shawn Kemp’s ownership. That was… not a great choice. We saw that they serve brunch on the weekends & wanted to try it out, and a few of the things my friend saw on the online menu sounded good. Okay, great plan. We arrived on a Sunday morning & the door was blocked by a transient individual asking for money. The fact that no one cared about someone loitering outside was not a great first sign, but then we walked in and realized the inside was full of flies swarming around. The server seemed like she’d rather be anywhere else and/or was incredibly bored with everything. We were the only people in there, which should have told us something. We ordered mimosas immediately($ 4, woohoo!) and took a few minutes to look over the brunch menu. It had four items on it, which was different than what my friend had seen online. No big deal, a few things sounded good, so we started to order. I asked for the Belgian waffle and was met with the response, «oh, we don’t ‘have that anymore.» So already, 25% of the entire menu was unavailable. I ordered the breakfast instead(eggs, potatoes, toast, bacon) and that was fine — until someone else asked for a side of breakfast potatoes and was told, «Oh, we’re out of those.» I guess they were just going to bring fries or tots instead. At that point, we decided to give up and go somewhere else that actually had food. We had to finish our mimosas, which I thought were okay(how can you really mess one up?) but my friend wasn’t a fan. My fiancé and I were both a little shocked by the bathroom, as well. It wasn’t the most clean, and there was toilet bowl cleaner just sitting on a ledge with a roll of paper towels because the paper towel dispenser apparently doesn’t work. It just felt icky. I could see how maybe this would be a fun place at night, if it had good clientele & cheap drinks. I just don’t really plan on finding out; if I’m going to trek to Queen Anne, it’s going to be something good.

Warning… Don’t go here if you want anything more than some beers at the bar. It looked like the bartender was attentive to her patrons. This review is not for her. Wanted an inexpensive meal and drinks before going to a show. The waitress couldn’t even tell me what 5 or 6 beers on tap… I had to read the handles and hope for the best(I’m not from here so I don’t know the local draughts). We ordered a burger and a dog. After first round gone, we had to literally grab the waitress to get her to even look at us for another round. It was about 25 mins in so we double checked that our food order was in and she said«it should be». Almost an hour in and two rounds down, we grabbed the waitress again and asked about her food. She said«oh, you want menus or do you know what you want to order?» REALLY? They were NOT busy, just to clarify. We paid for our drinks and left. Wasn’t expecting superb service, but some food and drinks without inconveniencing the waitress would have been good. Huge let down and waste of time.

Cool bar, good happy hour, and has all sports packages if your in need of watching your team while away from home. Arcade basketball and comfy seating. Zachary is a bad ass bar tender

Stopped in for Sunday brunch and had a great experience. The inside has some character and the music is great — this definitely isn’t your traditional diner but is most definitely worth a visit. While the food was very good, the service by Jamie was exceptional! Will be back next time I’m in the area.

The French Dip here kicked my ass. Now I see why it has the ‘was almost-famous and now IS famous’ designation. Freaking yum. Soft bread, tender roast beef and Tillamook Swiss, with some tangy pure horseradish on the side(zing!). And for like $ 6??? You have got to be kidding me! Order it, it’s fantastic.

ALLDAYHAPPYHOUR! Wednesdays Ali is working and makes the parmesan & garlic aoili tots. They’re only $ 4 for a big ass basket! Literally the fanciest tots ever made! Of course it’s happy hour so the drinks are cheap too. This is my new favorite place!

We booked a table for 11 as we couldn’t get into the other 2 resties we wanted before Stevie Wonder concert. I had 10 friends from Canada. I was soooo embarrassed. Not only the worst food ever!!! The bathroom made us all feel dirty! One toilet in the whole place. The soap dispenser was sitting on the garbage. My guy friend said the toilet fell apart. The«chef» ran to bathroom lineup all sweaty with cig behnd his ear. Dirty stankin!!! Food was over salted and uneatable. Waitress was nice but not a pro as just dropped food at one end of table. Apparently no one knew big concert this night so more staff needed!!! She did best she could. Food terrible, bathroom THEWORSTEVER!!! Drinks great

If you serve Chicken and Waffles, you are definitely a winner in my book! Great for after hours food, or if in dire need of a hang over cure. The bubble room is always filled with locals belling up to the bar. Typically drinking far too early than they should be. Tends to get busy about noon. Always check your receipt for a good laugh. Look at the server’s name.

My boyfriend and I visited Oskar’s to watch the Seahawks vs Bronco game and had a decent experience. The staff was friendly but had a few issues remembering what we ordered and bring back things we asked for like ranch. Also, I’m not sure if there isn’t AC or if it was just a really warm day, but it was so crazy hot inside that I found myself sweating while just sitting and watching the game! While the food wasn’t horrible, it was the textbook definition of bar food: good but nothing to rave about. The number one thing that will probably bring me back to Oskar’s was the free Jell-o shots they gave away each time the Hawks scored. It made the entire bar more fun and made it a more exciting place to watch the game. Go Hawks!

Had a quick drink here — a tasty green & gold and loved the experience! The bar was full of locals just before noon on a Saturday, the Motown & classic tunes were pumping and the vibe was excellent! The bartender was super cool, she made a tasty cocktail and broke a hundred dollar bill for me. We absolutely dug the vibe and would love to return. I enjoyed the mermaid in the window of the ‘bubble room’ and should’ve spent more time there on our short visit. Next time!

Hey! They have dollar jello shots on Saturdays… but the atmosphere, crowd and service sucks… Oh! They have dollar jello shots… but they have one, single, unisex bathroom for way too many people… Wait! They have dollar jello shots… but the dance floor is the smaller than tiny ass bedroom and the dj belongs at a high school dance… In summary, if you want a cheap drink in Queen Anne, I found a decent place with dollar jello shots but there doesn’t seem to be too much else going here.

4 Stars for the bar, 3 for the food. This was a spot I frequented for happy hour with my coworkers, and I have to say their drink specials were a mixed blessing. This bar successfully converted many a dollar into booze. The friendly staff and weird,(once fancy?) dive atmosphere lend to wandering conversations and a fun, probably drunk night out. They carry a decent selection of beer and the spirits certainly are not lacking. From a sober starting point, the food ranges from pretty lame(nachos should have melted cheese, and lots of it!) to pretty good for a bar(generic but salty– great for once you’re a few drinks in), and the prices don’t always match the worthiness of the food. Oskars is a fine enough place for me to come back to, especially when I’m in a mood for a dive but don’t want to pee on ice.

If my boyfriend says this place is two stars then it’s two stars. We headed to Oskar’s to try their French dip. I like mine with fixings and my other half adamantly believes it should just be bread and meat. When we got there everyone was seated in the bar area, not wanting to be alone, we joined them. Our server was great, very quick with our drinks and when we ordered the chicken«drumettes» extra crispy she obliged. We were surprised when we got the chicken wings and they were battered(like chicken strips??) and smothered in a WAY too vinegary buffalo sauce. I would never order these again. Then the shuttle showed up and what appeared to be a group of co-workers piled into the dining room. I found it interesting that they took up every single table in the dining room. It was like a private party but anyone else who showed up for dinner wouldn’t have any place to sit. It was odd. We got our French dips– mine: horseradish mayo and Caesar salad, his: naked with fries. It was horrible. The horseradish was so over powering if couldn’t eat it. The au jus was so salty that I couldn’t eat it. You have to understand that I love spicy as salty food, so for me to say this… it was bad. The meat would have been good if it wasn’t so dry and the Caesar salad came with onions and tomatoes?! Why??? Oh and it had way too much dressing. I are half of my sandwich and that was all. It got two stars because our server was great and the food was cheap.

I’m not going to pretend to know who Sean Kemp is, but apparently he is some famous basketball player… And this is his bar. It’s in a rundown looking kind of building, a couple doors down from Pesos, but actually not too bad on the inside. I remember they served beer in really cool looking glasses with all sorts of designs on them. The food isn’t too bad either, considering it’s bar food, but in no way great. I must have gone on a good night, but they played really good music, like the type of music that is played on Kube 93 old school throwback at noon.

My friends and I headed up here a couple of weeks ago because my boyfriend just HAD to eat at Shawn Kemp’s restaurant. When we got there, the bar was packed, so we sat down in the dining area. The manager(?) came out to apologize ahead of time because he didn’t think that they would be so busy that night — and thus, understaffed. Other than being understaffed, the service was great — super friendly. The food was just okay. For the price, the quality of the food was good. We ordered a greek salad and a caesar salad; besides a few different toppings(some extra olives, feta cheese, etc.) the salads almost tasted the same. Our group also ordered the french dip, the burger, and a side of the pita bread — which we all enjoyed. On a plus, we got to meet Shawn Kemp and the guys at our table embarrassingly took pictures with him. I would give this place an extra star just for that, but really… that wouldn’t be fair — although, it was a definite plus.
