This McMenamins is tucked in an area behind the Space Needle at the bottom of Queen Anne’s hill. It isn’t a huge place but has good standard McMenamins food. Service is friendly here as well, For being so close to Seattle Center I am surprised I always find parking close by. There are lots of windows for people watching or booths is that is more you’re thing. We opted for a window and had burgers and drinks. It was a good meal, I like that when I asked they brought me Barbecue sauce. Then we were off to Bothell for the night.

Second time around was not so awesome of an experience. I guess this place is better on busier nights or we just got someone that was lacking a lot. For a Saturday night it was pretty dead inside so I would think service would be better, but no. 5 starts for the food. The tots were cooked perfectly. The cooking staff was on top of it when I asked for no dairy. They came out to check if the onions that were prepped with milk should be taken off. The burger was a bit dry though but not bad. 2 starts for the waiter. It felt like it was his first or second night and didn’t know what was going on in the place. He didn’t really know what was still around after an apparently busy day, except there was no soup. The tea that was ordered was stuffed so by the second cup it was so bitter and not drinkable. water was never refilled until I asked for more when asking for the check. He never came back after taking our order except at the very end but by that time we had been done for 45 minutes.(yes i timed it) 30 of that time i was hoping for more water. One would think that if you see two people not eating and sitting on their phones that we would be done eating and ready for a check. The waiter seemed way to busy or at least struggled massively to handle 4 tables. Got there a little after 9 but didn’t leave until around 11:40 because the service took soooooo long.

Great food, great service, a perfect place for a group dinner! My friends and I had dinner and drinks here for St. Patty’s day before heading out to check out some bars. What we found was that they serve such good food and drinks in-house, that we didn’t even want to leave! This chain is known for its beer, but what some may not know is that their meals are super creative and tasty as well! I had the Bean and Seed slider from the sandwiches and burgers section of the menu and was impressed by how McM’s was able to make such a flavorful set of vegetarian patties from beans and seeds — props to them! I tasted the two different kinds of bowls my friends ordered as well and know what I will be trying next time I visit! Both the Jamaican and Green Machine rice bowls were incredible! The bowls can have chicken or tofu added for a small fee as well. Yum! For beer, my favorite of course is the Ruby Ale!

Yummmmmm!(Insert eyes crossed rolling into the back of my head) The special was the Cellar Master’s Dip only with white cheddah! So good! The whiskey taster was nice to try their signatures however the sizes were too small to truly get an idea of the whiskeys. You pay 12 bucks for three quarter shots when a full shot of one is 7.50. However the brewery taster is legit bang for your buck. The samples total about 2 beers and its only 8 bucks saving you about 2.50 in the end! Otherwise, yum yum yum!

It was ok. Good beer. Bad food. I had the Porter. Delicious. Service was great. Chicken sandwich was dry. Barely any sauce. Only came with 10 tater tots. Small portion for the price.

The service here was amazing! We are in town for a real estate convention and the realtors flooded the restaurant, the staff handled the craziness with ease and provided prompt friendly service! The food is great as well, we had the tuna salad sandwich it was very yummy!

McMenamins locations in Oregon typically suffer from terrible service(read: slow). This was a little better and that’s ok if you’re not in a hurry. The food tends to be a little overcooked here(all meat comes out dry & well-done no matter how you order it) and their«go-to» beers are suspiciously different. My Ruby was gold and hinted of other beer contamination. We would still go back if we needed some place open late where you can hang out and avoid the rain.

There’s a lot that I like about this place! I appreciate that McMenamins brews their own beer. There are a lot of options and it’s not too pricey(around $ 6.5 a pint I believe). Everyone I know goes to McMenamins for their cajun tots. There’s nothing wrong with the $ 2.50 price tag attached to it during happy hour too. This location is never too busy so it’s a great place to meet people. My only complaint is that if you go there outside of happy hour, it can be a really expensive meal.

Excellent food, beers and service. Mac and cheese, tots, burgers and sliders all were great and reasonable prices. Cozy bar and was able to have the back section near the bar and beer vats all to ourself.

Great friendly staff. Small food portions for the money. For example, fish and chips were 16 dollars and I received 2 very small pieces of fish. They were out of fries, so I chose tater tots, and the portion was small as well. Service was fast. I ordered to go, and food was done in 10 minutes.

I come for the late night happy hour. It’s consistently fast and friendly. Bar food and beers are safe bets here. I recommend their house whiskey too. It’s great on the rocks. I always order the pretzel and Cajun tots, easy to share with a friend. It’s a good place to go to get exactly what your expecting from this type of place, nothing more, nothing less.

My friend and I came here just for the beers. It’s located right by the Seattle Center, so parking garages and street parking is easy to find. And when we came by, the place was not busy at all, so we were easily able to find a booth in the bar area. What I like most about McMenamins is that they take over old, historical spaces and renovate it, each brewpub has its own theme. And they always have different beers to try. With so many different beers to try, it’s nice that they have six-ounce options instead of pints.

This is a great place to catch up with a friend in a quirky and richly decorated bar. The food is quite good, and won’t break the bank. And, you can get tater tots instead of french fries! Because this is a McMenamins, they serve their own beer, which I’m told is quite good. Since I prefer cider, it was good to know that they also serve their own ciders now — and the house cider had a definite apple flavor and and nice balanced sweetness to it.

Great neighborhood pub with friendly folk and fine food. They have a decent whiskey selection with better than average prices. Their own two distillery’s finally have properly aged whiskey. The«neat» pour I got seemed short. The burgers are well constructed and tasty. The tuna sandwich was a little short on spice. The lentil soup was more broth than soup but tasted fine.

A classic burger, fries and beer. Fish and chips for dessert– yum! I have been a McMenamins fan for years living in Portland and it is my go-to place for great food and atmosphere. It was a perfect dining location across from a parking garage and short walk to Key Arena for a concert.

Wait… they have McMenamins up in Washington?!? So we’re up here with friends hitting a local convention and hanging out for the weekend and we were just walking the streets near Seattle Center when we all got those telltale rumblies in the tumblies. We looked across the street and I saw a familiar name. Who knew? Well, THEY all knew, but I didn’t know. Evidently McMenamins has had a few Washington locations – this one apparently – for many years. I thought they were just an Oregon thing. You know, like Starbucks. Anyway, the eight of us stopped in. They had some lovely seasonal beers and the food was your typical McMenamins which is to say not that bad, and getting better over the years. I relied on my old standby, the Dungeon Burger, which has mushrooms and Swiss. Son got a «normal» burger(which to him means patty, dry, on a bun). Nothing red, green, saucy or oniony ever interferes with his«purist» burger enjoyment. Daughter got a bowl of their Mac and Cheese, which — let’s just say she lives on Mac and Cheese. And McMenamins’, in her opinion, hits the spot. Wife got the fish and chips, which were as good as they always were, and I treated myself to a helping of their Cajun tots which are world renowned in local circles. The long and short of it is you can go to just about any McMenamins and get roughly the same experience. And this one was no different. With it’s somewhat eclectic steampunk-ish weird-ish vibe(you know, exposed purple pipes with cute little faces painted on the elbows) this one felt very much like the Oregon McMenamins I’m used to. The beer selection was comfortably familiar as well: Terminator, Hammerhead, Ruby et al were present, along with the typical seasonal and special rotations. Service was fine(actually – better than fine, it was actually really good here). Now that I know there’s a McM’s up here, I can always get my fix the 4 – 6 times a year I’m up.

Eclectic brewery restaurant that serves noteworthy pub fare and their own brand of conservative brews. I had the perfectly breaded fish and chips here one night. For as many places you can get fish and chips in Seattle, this batter was calling my name. I don’t remember exactly what my small group ordered, and while none of them were texting home about, were all pleased with what they ordered. They beers are akin to Hale’s and The Ram, in my opinion. Light, straight-forward and pleasing, but lacking the complexity that gives other local microbrews a memorable punch while making them exciting to drink. The service was wonderful the night I was here. We stumbled in after my car broke down and we had to wait three hours for roadside assistance. It was slow that night, but service was friendly and attentive. They accommodated all of our running back into the place to use the restroom while we were stranded. With all the wonderful places to eat in town, this place is easy to overlook. However, I would gladly return if the occasion called for it.

Long wait, wrong food and cold burger Updated-manager contacted me and addressed the concerns. That counts for something in my book and updated with an extra star. We experienced slow service. We saw only one server who was also bussing tables and it was a full house. Our server was great handling it but for sure the place was understaffed. After at least a 30 minute wait, the food came and my burger was cold. The little one’s order was taken wrong. We finally got the straws we asked for just as we were finishing up. Based on the above and the price of the food, I would have to say I have definitely had better. I saw some management comments on other reviews. My experience appears to be similar to others on Unilocal. Just my 2 cents.
