Molly’s boxed sandwich Molly’s hero is certainly not a hero it is a total fail. from the crumbly bread onward it just got worse. Says it comes with Roma tomato the tomato was not a roma tomato, by any means and 1 thin slice for the whole sandwich. The Dijon mayo spread was in one spot in the middle making everything but the center dry like the Sahara desert. The salami was all on one side to. I’m not sure who makes the box sandwiches but they have no concept of what a good sandwich is, all in all it was total FAIL.

The mountain goat salad I got for $ 8 was pretty grim. Maybe 7 old pieces of spinach that sat on a bed of very dry quinoa. The dressing was basically pure salt. It’s not hard to get a good salad in Seattle but I couldn’t finish this salad. Hopefully the compost worms enjoy it more than I did.

I never knew about Molly’s until a friend brought me here. It’s in a unique location, under the Henry Art Gallery. It is not as well known and therefore not as busy. The inside is small, but perfect if you want to catch up with a friend, get a bite to eat, or even study. The infamous lavender mocha is definitely worth it. I never drink coffee, but the lavender mocha was pretty incredible. The pastries aren’t bad either. Tip: They do not take Husky Card.

My office has a convenience market on the first floor of my work building at MS. Although the cafeteria is just across the parking lot, sometimes I am too busy to even walkover to grab a bite. Or perhaps there is a huge rain downpour outside and I don’t to want to get wet. In those cases, I settle for something in the market. The fridge case at the market are full of sandwiches and salads from Molly’s Salads. I haven’t visited the Georgetown café, but have tried a few of their prepackaged offerings. The salads are wholesome and made with fresh healthy ingredients. They are a little on the small side, but tasty. Particularly the Festive Goat salad which has goat cheese, greens and quinoa. For sandwiches, I recommend the chicken curry sandwich which is served on an artisan potato roll. If you are looking for something more substantial, the sandwiches are a better option compared to the salads. While I prefer to get something in the café, the salads and sandwiches from Molly’s Salads make for a nice alternative for those hectic days. Good to know that I don’t need to settle for mediocre tasting food just for the sake of getting something in my system.

This review is for the Molly’s Salads in the UW Henry Art Gallery. Holy moly this lavender mocha is amazing.

$ 8.25 for a sandwich consisting of nothing more than two pieces of bread, some sliced turkey, cheese, and a bit of spread? This was a seriously underwhelming sandwich. I was in a bit of shock when it arrived and am still surprised at the pricing, an hour after eating it. I’d recommend taking the short 5-minute walk to the Ugly Mug. The sandwiches there are very substantial, with quality ingredients, for much less money.

I enjoy coming to Molly’s to get away from the hustle and bustle of the UW campus. It is a very relaxed and peaceful environment. I wish the seating area was a little bit bigger as it gets crowded at times. The turkey sage sandwich was really good. They heat it up so its toasty and the cheese is melted. I do think that $ 8 is a bit too expensive for a sandwich but they use local ingredients and make them in-house. If you go at 3p, all food items are $ 2(if not sold-out)! I am not a coffee drinker but the chai is WONDERFUL. They top it with the perfect amount of foam and«latte art» and a generous helping of cinnamon. Love it. The baristas are always nice!

Molly’s is my favorite lunch place on campus. The seating is cramped, and the service isn’t the most efficient, but everyone who works there is super friendly, the coffee is the best on campus, and oh my god the soups, salads, and wraps are divine. The sandwiches and wraps are best if you ask them to grill them first. I still need to stop by for a breakfast sandwich sometime – the lumberjack looks awesome. Yes, it’s expensive(except for the drip coffee, which I think is cheaper than the other campus cafes), but get this: during happy hour from 3 – 4 p.m., all the leftovers are $ 2EACH! I have had many a $ 2 lunch the next day thanks to Molly’s. Best-kept secret on campus. I just wish they were open later and on Mondays.

Good place for lunch! I fall in love with the sandwiches here! Really amazing! I will try their salads next time but I just cannot stop thinking about their sandwiches every day!

Two words. Stumptown coffee. It just can’t be beat, compared to the burnt taste of Tully’s coffee served in campus cafes all over, this place really make it worth my trip up across campus. The food selection is nice and they have special pricing an hour before closing. Be sure to check it out!

On the surface, Molly’s is your typical«plus» sandwich joint. Featuring a good selection of sandwiches with higher quality ingredients is always nice, but isn’t sufficient to stand out amongst many strong competitors. I should emphasize that the sandwiches are really quite good, especially when they toast them for you. However, Molly’s really stands out in two areas: value and service(friendliness, really). The sandwiches and salads are just a bit cheaper than your typical sandwich place’s and their sides/concessions are less expensive as well. They also run end-of-day specials that are ridiculously good value, if you can wait that long for lunch. The service is a little slow but super-duper friendly. Plus-plus in my book.

Molly’s is my go to spot on campus. As a staff it’s hard to find tasty food that’s not made for the college diet. Molly’s is your answer. From tasty daily soups to light, bright salads and hearty sandwiches. My current favorite is yam and kale wrap. Get it toasted… you want be sorry. Also like The Grecian salad… wish it had more spinach. Pros: Fabulous organic seasonal menu. Really closet to campus. Semi-reasonable prices. See a bit of modern art and get food. Great outdoor space in the summer. Cons: Not very much inside seating and students tend to camp out. Closed on Mondays.

2.5 star. I tried its hot coca and was simply not impressed. Also $ 3 for small? No thanks. But based on other reviews, it seems like their sandwiches are way better. Perhaps I will come back one day and try its lunch menu.

Delicious kale/orzo salad! As far as lunch goes, this is definitely one of my favorite places on campus.(and it didn’t hurt that I had a Chinook Book coupon for 50% off). I am definitely going back to try the yam wrap. A great place to take a visitor if you want to brag about how healthy northwest food can be. Only downside is that there is limited seating and it can be really hard to navigate to a table, especially if you are in a chair, have a walker, etc.

This is my favorite spot on the UW campus to grab lunch. It’s a great café at the bottom of the Henry Art Gallery, with a large patio for outdoor eating. The salads and sandwiches are delicious and made with the freshest, local ingredients. Most of the sandwiches are vegetarian friendly, with some vegan and gluten-free options too. I like to get the soup and salad combo. Try it if you can’t decide on just one thing! For extras, I highly recommend their peanut butter cookies, delicious! They offer muffins, cookies, an occasional quiche and a few other baked goods. They serve Stumptown coffee and a variety of tea. I’m excited to try the Ginger Lime, when it’s back in-stock.

Dear Molly’s Salads: I want to roll around in that carrot garlic spread on the Lover’s Look Out sandwich. Your Best Radished Salad Ever is simply divine. I can’t stop ordering these two as much as I’d like to try out the whole menu. I love your people and your coffee. My only plaint? Salt up your soups a lot more. Do that, and I’ll bump this bad boy up to 5 stars!

Simply the best coffee on campus. Molly’s always does right by us, the gang there is friendly, and it tends to be quieter than many nearby joints. Plus, you get to feel cool, drinking in the art-gallery vibe… and then return to the cave where you spend your days, thinking of when your kidneys will stop hurting so you can get more coffee. I’ve never had the salads, but I’m die’n to try them.

It was sad that the last café at the Henry Art Museum disappeared for a while. Fortunately it was replaced by Molly’s. I wish I came to try it out sooner. The décor is similar to the past, simple, white, with rotating small exhibit. It is sublimely comfortable and quite serene after the lunch rush. Today I spent a few minutes looking at the photographs on the wall while waiting for the food. The menu is short, but delicious. It consists of mostly salads and sandwiches, and many are veggies/vegan friendly. Owner Stefan understands that good food starts with good ingredients. All of the items were sourced from local, organic and sustainable farms, including all the veggies(from Holler Mountain), eggs(Steiber) etc. Others have talked about the Stumptown coffee already. They also have the usual assortments of croissants and muffins, all sourced from Essential Bakery. The taste? Fresh. It’s wonderful to have a symphony of freshness in your taste buds, and it feels good eating here. For example, today I had Le Provencal(pronounce it in French, pro-ven-cell), and an Olympic salad as a half-and-half combo. The salad had all of the subtle sweetness of cranberries and a dash of fresh lemon zest. The chewy bread and fresh beets on top of sprouts just made me a very refreshed man when I left. Every one at the shop was friendly, and I got to talk to Stefan a little in French(just for practicing sake, you know). He was ecstatic. Overall, a wonderful experience. And now that the Hub is closed, I think this place is going to be a food oasis on campus. Fresh. Organic. Sustainable. And convenient. What else could you ask for?

You know how they say Austin is surrounded by Texas, but isn’t really /in/Texas? Same deal here. This is a lunch and coffee place that just happens to be surrounded by UW. I saw the sign outside and decided to give it a try. I caught the start of the lunch rush, and the place was pretty full. There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. I went with the Uncle Berty and an Americano, to go. The food took about ten minutes, give or take. That would have been slightly annoying if this were a university café, but like I said, it’s not. While I waited, I sipped on the coffee. A little thinner than I like it, but that can be easily fixed by getting an extra shot next time. The barista seemed competent, but Americanos tend to be fairly barista-proof anyway, so it’s hard to be sure. The Uncle Berty simultaneously reminded me of banh mi and PG Wodehouse. The chewy, crusty bread and sliced pork reminded me of the former; the name and the marmalade reminded me of the latter. A good sandwich, but(like many banh mi) a little rough on the roof of the mouth. For the amount of food you get, it’s pricier than other on-campus eateries, but still good value for money given the quality of the ingredients. All in all, probably the best lunch spot on(or surrounded by) campus.

Affordable dining options near UW are often mediocre. Molly’s has organic, sustainable food at very affordable prices and Stumptown well-made espresso drinks for less than you’ll pay for Tully’s on campus. Example prices: $ 3.50 Peanut butter & jelly sandwich $ 3.50 Salad with assorted fresh veggies $ 4.50 Quinoa salad with veggies & lemon-mustard dressing They also have the usual muffins, croissants, chips, etc. and apples and other snacks. It’s not all vegetarian… they have pork, turkey, chicken, etc… but they do have a fair amount of vegetarian and vegan options. There’s a handful of outlets and tables big enough for 5 person groups and/or spreading your work out on. Clean, comfy, nice modern design and art. If you’re a UW student there’s free wireless. I wish I’d discovered this place sooner, but they’ve got a new regular!
