Stopped here once and had the lamb gyro and found my new favorite place to get them! My god it was good! Didn’t expect it to have pickles in it, but it still made it delicious!

I stopped in recently for a quick lunch while in the neighborhood and it was delicious. The host was very friendly and I had the lamb gyro which was very flavorful and fresh. Reasonable prices and generous portions all added up to a great experience

This place used to be amazing. I don’t know what happened, the falafel is dry as a bone and fridge cold, practically no sauce or lettuce, even the pita tastes like crap. What a disappointment, we used to eat here all the time when we lived down the street. We came down just to eat here and reminisce and it’s just awful :(

Yummy Yum! I stopped here for lunch today and was greeted with very kind service. After ordering my food, we talked about the dish(Koshari!!) and if I’ve ever had it before. I told him I hadn’t, but I was excited to try it, and was sure I would like it. He said that he was sure I would as well. He wasn’t kidding. It was a simple dish, but a delicious one. Rice, Lentils, and Pasta with tasty seasonings and a lovely Tomato sauce on top! So good. Who knew that such a simple meal could be so tasty and satisfying. I will be recommending Lucy’s to everybody I can, and will be back for sure!

Went to Lucy’s Corner after a pedicure next door. Had really high hopes for their Kosheri, which I love. Now, every Kosheri I’ve tasted over the years is flavorful, has crunchy onions and mild spices. This tastes like they threw together boiled ingredients, sans onions and topped the dish with a tablespoon of tomato sauce. Very disappointed for a Kosheri lover.

Fast, honest, and good Egyptian food.

It’s laughable at this point. A couple weeks ago I went back and they were, AGAIN, not open during posted hours on a Saturday morning no less. So, I tried, once again, to give this place a fair shake and it’s not open. Wow; what a joke. I can’t even deduct stars with this update but I wish I could. Good grief!

Been waiting for a weekday off so I could go here and try the koshari. They are not open on weekends. $ 8 gets you an OK sized portion. It tasted good. I think it could be better. Not having ever had koshari anywhere else, my opinion is most definitely somewhat skewed.

So perhaps it’s just me, but the lamb gyro I got at Lucy’s Corner was unlike any I’ve ever had before — and NOT in a good way. Maybe I missed something but nothing about this gyro was tasty or familiar — first, there were dill pickles on it. Second, the Tzatziki didn’t taste at all like Tzatziki. And third the meat(which was pretty sparse) didn’t taste right and was über-fatty and greasy. Sorry — not a fan.

This place is great! Within walking distance from work and offers authentic Egyptian fare at a great price. I loved the Koshari deal when it was on special, but even at the regular price(~$ 5) it’s a good amount of food for your $. Their lentil soups are perfect on rainy days too.

I stopped in here a couple of weeks ago for something to take home for dinner late on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the kushary that was recommended by prior reviewers. The man and woman who were there were very open, hospitable and friendly; I felt right at home while my order was being prepared. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and do plan to return.

really nice couple that run the place. every neighborhood needs a mom and pop place and Belltowns parents are Egyptian. I’ve only ever tried the Falafel, which was reasonably priced, quick and pretty good. Great place to go on your lunch break.

One of my favorite quick lunch spots when in town. It’s a little family owned restaurant full of ambiance. Service is fast, and friendly. Food actually tastes good and fresh. I try to get something new every time i go there. however my top two favorite dishes have been the«Kushary»(Middle eastern Veggie dish), and the Lamb wrap.

I work by this place and I’ve started coming here fairly often. Its very reasonably priced and the people are very nice. I haven’t had any of the sandwiches or American food, but the Mediterranean [I think Egyptian] food is good. I’ve had the lentil soup which is good and flavorful, the semolina cake which is very nice, and the kushari which is a vegetarian dish that involves rice, lentils, pasta and chickpeas topped with a spicy tomato ginger sauce and carmelized onions. The kushari in particular is priced really well and you get a lot of food. I’m really glad I asked about this item because, while I’m no expert on this dish, it has made for many satisfying lunches. Anyway, if you are eating in the area I would really recommend it, but I suggest you take a chance and order something other than the traditional café/deli fare.

i nearly walked right past this place without noticing, but then saw their lunch special sign outside and decided to check it out. the husband and wife owners work there themselves and give the place a very home-like atmosphere. they offer the standard omelette, egg muffin, and oatmeal breakfast fare, but their specialty is obviously greek dishes and soup. they offer many vegetarian as well as meat dishes so there’s something for everyone for an affordable price(most dishes are around $ 5). i would definitely go back again.

Not bad. Not bad at all. I liked seeing the pictures of the owners’ family history and talking with them. I felt like a bunch of moms were making me dinner.

I needed a quick bite after my lunch-hour pedicure, so I stopped in here and got a chicken shawarma. It was really tasty. The pita bread was very tender & flavorful, and the chicken was well-spiced. There seemed to be french fries in there, too, which is unusual but worked. My only complaint was that it was a bit small, but maybe I’m just used to ginormous shawarmas.

So after leisurely spending my morning in Belltown, I realized I had forgotten to grab my morning coffee and breakfast. So, I headed into Lucys Corner. I walked in and it smelled delicious. It is definitely a «mom-and-pop-and daughter» business as the woman who served me was Lucy herself. Lucy, a younger woman and an older man all assisted in some part of the process and were more than eager to please which was pleasant. If you’re looking for chain café style service don’t come here. However, if you are open to some breakfast basics(I had a veggie and cheese omlette which comes with toast) I think it was decent. Not amazing, but certainly eatable. I also ordered an iced caramel macchiato which seemed to throw them for a loop, but they did their best and it actually turned out really well. So overall I’m probably not going to come here everyday, but I would be open to coming here again if I happen to be in the area.

it looks like the only cooking device in this place is a sandwich press, so all the food is precooked and then reheated in the microwave? i see lots of upset and unrequited tummys in the future

James J. and I were trying to decide where to go for a quick breakfast this morning when he suggested Lucy’s Corner. Neither one of us had been there before and I was skeptical, but he won me over by asking, «how can you fuck up a breakfast sandwich?» That seemed like perfect logic, but today I learned very well how you can fuck up a breakfast sandwich. First, buy the cheapest, sourdough English muffins you can find. Then, don’t toast them, just put them on a heater so they get warm and a little soggy and essentially taste microwaved but not very hot. The next step is to find some precooked eggs shaped like a square and microwave those, but again, don’t let them get very hot. And finally, add some white cheddar, but make sure it doesn’t melt enough for the cheese, egg and muffin to all stick together. The positive points of Lucy’s Corner is that they have free delivery to the surrounding apartments if you spend $ 5, Lucy and the other woman working there were really nice, they were fast despite forgetting to make one of our sandwiches, and the pricing is fair.
