Husband loved it much more than I did. He scarfed down their gumbo. I thought is was okay food. I don’t think I would go back. Note: This restaurant has a creole focus and I am not a fan of that food. The service was good, but the waitress was not well-informed on menu items.

Nice place though I thought the food was just okay. That probably would have been fine if the service wasn’t also kind of weird. We were the only ones in the place one night and the dude waiting on us didn’t look our way once. Finally had to call for him a couple of times. The atmosphere feels a little disjointed somehow. Not my favorite, but if I go back and it’s amazing I’ll surely change my review.

Note — kids not allowed. I know the deets say«not good for kids» but truly they are simply not allowed!!! My wife and me and my two teenager daughters were turned out, politely. Would be good to note on the website. Waitress was nice about it as we sat in our booth, but apparently there is some city rule outlawing minors, even if they serve great food that we were excited to try. Bummed. Can’t give any stars.

Came for happy hour on a Saturday afternoon. We were the only customers in there! Hushpuppies($ 5) — Pretty dry. Definitely not the best. Hand-Cut Sweet Potato Chips($ 5) — Delish! Not all chips were fried al the way through, which I loved. Very thin and sprinkles lightly with cinnamon sugar. Crawfish Pasta($ 5) — SOOO good. BBQ Baby Back Ribs($ 5) — Didn’t try them! My friend gobbled them down BBQ Wings($ 6) — Eh. Meh. I would certainly come back again for happy hour, but I’d be curious to check out the dinner menu, especially considering how much I enjoyed the Crawfish Pasta. Also, dog-friendly. :-)

Never fail to impress me! Beignets are out of this world good! I’ve eaten it in New Orleans and all over America, but this is one of my fav! The grilled flank steak and grits are also amazing. The nice rich texture of grits aren’t overwhelming because the tangy citrus freshness blooming in your mouth from the diced tomatoes and bell pepper. I am sprung. The coffee here is from the local café Vita. Freshly ground and amazing pot of decaf. I love their oyster Rockefeller here, and open sitting. I hate being told where to sit. The services are amazingly fast, relax, and friendly. I have brought many dates here, but on this Valentine day – this Officer Candidate, of the US Army will chow alone. I’ve live in Seattle for 22 years, and this is one of our gemstone.

I came in with a group of friends that had reserved a table for us. The waiter was very friendly and got us situated. I didn’t know what to expect from this place, but I was extremely satisfied with what was delivered. The food was savory, warm, deliciously prepared, and bundled up with a great presentation. The appetizers(hush puppies, gumbo, and crab cakes) were exquisite. The gumbo was my upmost favorite, as I kept hogging the bowl from my other friends. I ordered the oyster po boy for the main course. It was massive and very delicious.(I finished the whole thing) After that I didn’t think I would have room for dessert, but I managed to fit in some awesome cream stuffed rolls(don’t skip desert it is worth it) Overall the drinks were good, the food was on point, and the service was excellent. I had a great dinner night. I will definitely be coming back soon enough. The cooks know what they are doing here. I highly recommend it if you enjoy a well prepared meal.

This place used to be awesome — with the previous chef and bartender that they fired? It seems to be a reoccurring theme in Seattle to keep firing and hiring, and it really hurts businesses and turns clients away. I would call my last experience here mistreatment rather than service. I asked for a french baguette(creole restaurant) with balsamic créme, the same thing I order every time I’ve ever sat down here. The waitress said something like«I don’t even know what you’re talking about but I’ll check», very poorly trained staff. The pasta used to be so much better IMO, the new chef and his agenda have diluted the quality of the food. I gave them two stars for the atmosphere, the service severely impacted my review. sad.

This meal felt like a roller coaster gone wrong. The girl behind the counter greeted us and told us to sit wherever we were comfortable. The waitress came over instantly and asked us about drinks, I asked her about the drink menu(because there were only 6 listed on the small blue menu left on the table), she looked at me and said«excuse me, I don’t understand what you mean?» In a semi-rude and accusatory manner. I then asked her if they had a bigger drink menu(again) and she said«no, it’s the one right there» pointing to the blue menu — this time with full blown attitude. Needless to say, we almost walked out at this point. Luckily for them, it was pouring rain outside. So I decided to take he high road and«kill ‘em with kindness» if you will. We ordered our apps and entrees: Green Salad, BBQ Pork Sliders, Shrimp Creole. When they arrived, it was the wrong salad(the much more expensive one) from what we ordered. Though it was delicious, I felt very undervalued as a customer. Especially being my first time there. Then my guest’s meal arrived and it was the wrong plate. Once we got that all settled, we finally could enjoy the meal that we(mostly) ordered. Overall, the food itself was pretty good, but the service left a BAD taste in my mouth.

Came here for happy hour after 10pm. We were a medium sized group and got surprisingly great service. Happy hour drink prices aren’t spectacular but worth getting to pair with your food. The majority of the food items were $ 5 with a couple ranging in the $ 7 and $ 9 bucket. The quality is better than most pub food and definitely worth getting for $ 5. Will definitely be back for some more late night grub!

I think this place is a LARGE hidden gem. The place is pretty big considering it’s counterparts in the area and it has a great menu. The drinks are superb! We arrived the 8 of us and we we’re the only ones in the place. Of course this was at 3pm. The bartender made a mocktail for our sober friend and knocked it out of the park just by asking him a couple of questions. We also had the crawfish flatbread, the sweet potatoes chips, and the hushpuppies, All really good. Not undercooked because we we’re the only ones ordering but cooked perfectly. Highly impressed. Happy they are in Belltown

While walking around downtown Seattle, we were looking for somewhere to grab a beer before heading over to the aquarium. We looked up the Lost Pelican, liked the name and decided to check it out. There are pelicans as décor, so… you know you’re in the right place. My boyfriend and I walked in at the right time: Happy Hour from 3−7PM. I looked over the menu, which had a pretty good selection for pretty good prices, but as bar food, not much I’d want to order. We went with the crawfish flat bread and the buffalo wings. According to him, the wings were excellent. As for my choice of carb, the flatbread was missing a lot of umph. Maybe 4 pieces of crawfish on the whole thing, and the sides of the bread were completely bare of toppings. Ended up with maybe 2 excellent middle pieces and two pieces of bread. Not the best happy hour food in my book. We each ordered two beers, one of which was the Murphy at the recommendation of the bartender, and the other was an IPA and we liked it! The draft list isn’t extensive, but what they have on top is excellent. We got to talk to the other servers and hear their cool stories. When traveling, that’s the thing that elevates my experiences — just getting to know the people. It made our experience there that much better, and our time in Seattle a little bit more genuine.

I found a groupon for this place and tried it with a friend of mine who is actually from Georgia. It was nice to try southern food with him and compare the authenticity of it up here. He said most things were spot on. I thought everything tastes good! Especially the crawfish pasta dish! I liked many of the things we chose! So good!!! My Personal Restaurant Rating Key One star: the food was bad and I had a negative experience. Two star: I had a more negative experience and would not come here again but the food was good so I may. Three store: Everything is good except one thing. Example-the food is good, the price is more reasonable but the atmosphere is lacking class. Or the food is good, the atmosphere is good, but they over charged us. These three stars are actually my favorite types of restaurants to go eat at if the reason is due to the atmosphere because they are usually delicious and reasonably priced. Four stars: Everything is great, food and experience. However the price is definitely on the upper end. I would not recommend this first to Obama unless he didn’t like my five stars. These are restaurants you can take your boss or your mother-in-laws to impress them, however they still don’t fit into the five star category. A bit fancier than my three stars, hence I don’t often eat here unless there is an occasion for it or there is a groupon that gives me a bit of a discount! Five stars: I would recommend this to Obama. The price may be on the upper end but the experience and the taste is so exquisite, it is actually worth every nickel and dime.

The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because I’m vegetarian and they do not have anything vegetarian on their menu except for an eggplant appetizer called eggplant tapenade. I should have checked this before I went to this place. The service here is great! When we told them we are all vegetarian, the lovely chef made the crawfish pasta for us without meat of fish using some sort of cream and it was delicious ! The me u says most dishes can be made vegetarian, however they use chicken stalk in most vegetarian dishes as well. You should I definitely try this drink called hurricane — the only drink my husband loved ever!

Such a great find. No pretension, just a solid Creole menu. From the salad to the gumbo, all the dishes were excellent with great care for quality and taste. Always a fan of a restaurant that knows the right hot sauce to have on the table. The drinks were generous and the layout is cool. So happy to have a place to get my NOLA fix.

I came to Lost Pelican last night on a whim since it was the closest restaurant to where I was staying in Belltown. I have rarely received the level of service and attention as I did from our bartender Jeff that night. When he found out I was visiting Seattle he immediately assured me I would have a good time and I definitely did. Make sure to sit at the bar and Jeff will really take care of you. If you’re deciding on a cocktail or something try either the Hurricane or the limoncello. The food here is also amazing. I got the shrimp and grits and seriously have not been able to stop thinking about it. Happy hour is served from 3 – 7 and from 10-close. We also got the crawfish flat bread which is good, I’d like to try the fried green tomatoes or the crawfish fromage if I’m ever in the area. Thanks again Jeff!

Only been here for happy hour. Not amazing but decent. Crawfish pasta(bit on the oily side) and oysters Rockefeller come 3 per order and pretty tasty. So so… Flat bread was dinky, catfish in the catfish & chips were kinda dinky as well with soggy coating although the yam chips it came with were good. It’s chill here and the service is quick.

For our last meal in Seattle this past weekend, we decided to do brunch at The Lost Pelican, more so out of convenience than anything(we were walking back towards Pike Place from the Space Needle), but given the good reviews and the fact that I hadn’t had Cajun/Creole food in a while — it was an easy sell. The place was not too packed around noontime on a Sunday, and getting seated and served was pretty straightforward. Our waitress was friendly and got our food to us quickly, but she didn’t seem to have a great grasp of the different kinds of beers on tap(which sucked — there seemed to be a decent number of local crafts but with very little description as to the kinds of beers they were). That said, we started off with a delicious gumbo that had a very hearty flavor; however, it seemed a bit thin, and it was a tad light on the meat and the rice… definitely felt like we were ladling ourselves soup for most of the time. Add a bit more depth to the dish and its contents, and this would have been amazing. I ended up splitting the shrimp and grits with my wife, which was quite good — not overly cheesy, and it worked really well when we asked for(and got) an over-easy egg thrown on top. Our friends had the omelets, which were very sizable(to say the least). While they were solid overall, they didn’t stand out as anything other than a standard omelet. The vibe here is pretty chill and laid-back, nonetheless, and the live music on the other side of the bar that kicked in halfway through brunch was a nice Big Easy-style touch to the spot. A solid brunch spot overall, albeit one that could have been a bit better on a couple points.

My friend and I came here for happy hour and tried… pretty much everything on the $ 5 menu: Hushpuppies Hand-Cut Sweet Potato Chips Crawfish Pasta Fried Green Tomatoes Crawfish Fromage While nothing was offensive, we both thought it was pretty average. He had been for brunch before and was disappointed. However, we both agreed that the stand out was the crawfish pasta, our recommendation. Not bad, not bad…

My wife and I went here for happy hour today(3−7pm) and the food is absolutely outstanding. Everything that we ordered was really good. My favorite dish was the crawfish pasta. It was perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor and absolutely delicious. Not too rich and a great balance of crawfish and ham with the other ingredients. A must have. The crawfish fromage was really nice. I would have loved the bread with it to be a little crispier but that’s just a personal preference. The BBQ wings were really tasty and I enjoyed them despite the small sized wings. The fried green tomatoes and the sweet potato chips were really nice and fresh albeit a little pricey for even the happy hour portions. Overall I think the food is spectacular and the service it very friendly and attentive. The prices are indeed steep for the portion sizes but they always seem to have deals on Amazon Local which make it a lot more affordable. I will most certainly be coming back here again soon.

small, quite, clean. Not an extensive menu, servers were nice ordered two beers and an oyster rocker feller for $ 5(only had 3 oysters topped with breadcrumbs?) didn’t tickle my fancy but this place was alright. probably wouldn’t visit again given the numerous other places around
