The general manager and staff were so attentive and kind. I love that they’ve switched over to the 20% service charge. It shows they’re appreciative of their employees. The food was AWESOME. We had he burger cooked to perfection and the mushroom wrap that was so flavorful. I’ll be back!

Quiet weekday night for happy hour. Items weren’t particularly a steal nor wowers from the pork belly, burger, and mussels we tried. Burger had good flavor with the Manchego cheese but the burger meat just wasn’t as juicy as flavorful as I like. Love that they have a $ 5 Moscow mule that’s super drinkable(also meaning not very strong).

I love love this place. Brunch was amazing and so was the waiter. Was a little confused about the front door entrance but the food was yummy!!!

I felt ripped off today. I got the breakfast sausage which besides being tasteless meat pucks as they were the size of quarters and not much thicker. I was OK well eating because they have signs saying they have a 20% service charge in lieu of tipping which I agree with. However, when I got the bill they added it after the fact. That’s a forced to percentage and should be criminal. You either include the service charge in your menu prices or you leave tipping to me. When a restaurant tell you there is no tipping, it’s implied it was factored in your prices. At 20% is even more than most restaurants force on you for parties larger than 6. The service was okay as the place was busy and maybe I would have tipped that much but included it in you prices. The drinks were good. The food is overpriced.

Love this place. My wife is addicted to Rich’s martinis: uncle Val’s martini with dolin blanc rinse. Go here you won’t regret it

I’m surprised that this restaurant has only 3.5 stars, but I can’t say I’m unhappy about it — it just means that I can visit without ever having to wait for a table. This restaurant opened about 18-ish months ago, and it’s always been a place to find hearty meals and stiff drinks. In the past month or so, though, they’ve changed their game from being just good to being absolutely fantastic. First — the service. Everyone, from the host to the waiter to the bartender, makes you feel like they’ve been preparing for your visit all day and now that you’re finally here, they can bring out the good drinks and fine china. They never rush you, even if it’s apparent that you’re having a loooong brunch in order to watch the playoffs game, and all the servers seem to be well-versed on the menu. Second — the ambiance. Although it can be a bit loud at times, it’s still quieter and cozier than a lot of other places in the neighborhood. The TVs are present, but not prevailing. Third — the food. Don’t come here if you just want a snack — come here when you feel as though you’ve been standing in the cold rain all day, and what you need is a hearty meal that satisfies not only your empty stomach, but your soul. Roasted chicken, the burger, the steak sandwich — even the avocado toast, the poor maligned appetizer of trendy hipsters everywhere, finds new life with pickled radish and salmon on pumpernickel. The harissa-spiced mussels and the coconut baked custard warrant five stars on their own. And fourth — the drinks. I don’t know who’s behind the new drink menu, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Faustian sacrifices were made to come up with these cocktails. The Count of Montenegro is the Manhattan that Manhattans aspire to be. There was a closed mussel in our appetizer, and the burger was a touch overdone, but the way that our server and the manager, Tim, responded to these minor inconveniences(with a complementary round, my favorite type of apology), made us even happier that we chose to spend our evening at B+W.

Came here on a Sunday morning after the Jingle Bell 5K. Our reservation was set for 10:30 am. We got there a little early and they weren’t ready yet. Makes sense. They let us sit in a section of the restaurant and provided drinks while we waited. 10:30 am passed. Ok I’m a little hungry especially after that 5K… 11 am passes and I’m starving… Finally 11:15 am and we’re brought to the back room where they have our food set up. Food: Probably not typical because we had it laid out buffet style like it was catered. We had fingerling potatoes with caramelized onions as a part of the spread and they were my favorite. We also had quiche, doughnuts, fruit, salmon patties and bacon. All in all food was good. Drinks: I had a Mimosa and a Bloody Mary. Both staples for brunches. Mimosa was one of the better ones I’ve had and the Bloody Mary was good too, not too spicy. Everyone seemed to enjoy our time here, except our HR team seemed upset. If I’m in the area I might check it out again, but not going to go out of my way.

We went to Bell + Whete for restaurant week about a month ago and I’m just now getting around to writing this review. Overall, I have mixed feelings about Bell + Whete even though I wanted to love it. First off, I love the drinks here! I have never really liked gin, but the gin and tonic here is amazing. Also had a Moscow Mule, which was equally great. We started off with the Belgian fries with ham aioli as an appetizer. The aioli was amazing and definitely something different. We ordered the restaurant week 3 course menu. We started off with the meat pie, which was amazing. It was crispy and super savory. Literally one of the best I have had. For my second course, I had the pork shank. It looked amazing, but it was really difficult to eat. Maybe it was just an off day in the kitchen, but I could not get the pork off of the bone at all. Even trying to eat it caveman style didn’t work. For dessert I had the poached pears. Once again, they looked amazing, but they were really hard and I couldn’t really cut into them. All they did were roll around the plate, which was frustrating. I will say once I did eat them, they were fine. All in all, there were just a couple things about the food that didn’t allow me to fully enjoy my meal. Food was lacking, but service and drinks were on point. Looks like they have a pretty awesome happy hour menu though, so I will definitely be back to give that a try and reassess.

$ 5 Moscow Mules on Happy Hour *mic drop*. That’s probably what drew me in, to be honest, and the fact that HH goes til 7! :) But the menu and service match the ambiance — cool, calm, collected. Flavors are clean and you can tell the kitchen takes pride in their work. Been here a few times and I look forward to coming back soon. Moules frites(HH $ 10) are yummy(but I wish they gave me a few extra Belgian fries — fries are to die for. Housemade pickled veggies(HH $ 4) were a good side dish/snack, pigs in a blanket(HH $ 5) were forgettable, flatbreads(HH $ 7 – 8) are nummy and good for sharing. Duck wings(HH $ 8) are worth a try but I wouldn’t order again — duck wings just aren’t chicken wings, and there are a bunch of other nibblies on the menu! Check it out! You won’t be disappointed.

Must try the Whole Roasted Pig on Sunday evenings… you don’t even know… One of the best brunches, variety of bloody Marys and bottomless Mimosas

This experience was a let down. While we have experienced the quality of work the chefs can do at Lamb Jam two years in a row, we hadn’t had the opportunity to go. So during Restaurant week we thought it would be a great opportunity to do so. The food was fine, no real complaints there, but the service was abysmal. Not only did we wait at the front counter, just inside the door for more than five minutes without a single soul greeting us or even walking up to the counter, we sat at the table after being seated for the better part of 30 minutes without anyone taking a drink order. Fortunately we had a straggler and we didn’t need to order food immediately we were hungry and wanted appetizers and drinks. We actually had to go flag down the person who sat us and ask him if we were going to be waited on. He is the one that got us our initial drink orders which was weird. Once we did get the food ordered and everything, things went fairly smoothly but first impressions can’t be fixed during a meal like this. I ordered the crispy skin pork shank which I hear is very popular, and it was good. I particularly liked the cabbage and aioli that came with it! To start, I had the meat pie, which came with a nice fresh salad and could have been a meal all to itself. The flavors were very good and the crust was deliciously flaky. To start the meal we ordered the Caramelized Pork Belly, which was delicious and melted in your mouth as it should. I could sit and eat it all day long it was that good. We also ordered the housemate sausages and onions which were also amazing, the mustards that were paired with each were really what made this appetizer shine. We also ordered the Tomato & Squash Flatbread per the recommendation of the server and was not really impressed, it was just ok. Finishing the meal with the Poached pear was delicious. The flavors and delicate textures were just perfect and I would certainly recommend or try again if they have it on the menu. Now, after reading the raving review I have given the food you might wonder why only two stars. Well, if you scroll back up to the top where I started out on the service, that is the majority of the reason behind the low score. The rest of my reasoning is price, the prices seam pretty high in comparison and I just think both of these factors created an experience I wasn’t excited about and as the rating says«I’ve experienced better» for sure. Would I go back? «Meh»

Fun, modern restaurant for good eats and drinks off a busy intersection in Belltown. The restaurant’s menu is a bit more limited than expected, but it shouldn’t be difficult to find something that would suit you. I have had a few dinners here and enjoyed each of my meals. All were average to above average. Nothing that got me too excited over it. The dishes have good presentation and have good ingredients, but the dishes are not always the tasty though. The reason I go back are for the drinks and location. The restaurant has a great vairety and selection for drinks. Since the establishment has a decent outdoor seating, recommend getting a seat there if weather permits. Every time during the summer I sat outside with my dog which was awesome. This is a pretty good place to hang out, but maybe more difficult as a large group especially for outdoor seating. It’s super convenient location in a busy area of Belltown makes it easy to go grab dessert elsewhere, to bar hop after, or coordinate a show the same night.

We had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately it was nothing special. There was a Tomato and Squash Flatbread on the menu that sounded really good, and to be fair, it *was* good. But during the fall season, in a sea of restaurants that are all serving butternut squash in their dishes, if you’re going to make a zucchini flatbread, why not just be precise and call it zucchini? I know technically it’s a squash, but it was unexpected. The beer and cheddar soup was awful. I’ve had beer and cheddar soup in the past, so I know that it can be delicious. However, this one didn’t meet the bar. It was overly sour, insanely salty(and this is coming from someone who *loves* salt!), and for some reason they decided to throw peanut brittle and popcorn INTO the soup. The peanut brittle just got completely lost – didn’t taste it at all. The popcorn got soggy, so its only contribution was an odd texture. The service was pretty much bare minimum. The waitress never even asked how any of our food was – just wordlessly brought us the bill when it became apparent that we couldn’t finish the soup. Seattle is full of so many awesome restaurants and cocktail bars. Especially if you’re only in the area for a few days, I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

Bell and Whete has quality that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Their beer selection is fantastic and they have an entire menu for beers and wines on the backside. I always struggle ordering because they have a lot of good beers on tap. The steak sandwich is a happy hour classic! Even off happy hour it’s completely worth it. From the outside I would guess I couldn’t walk away without spending $ 30+ but this place is very reasonably priced for what you get. It’s upscale but it’s Seattle upscale meaning if you walk in a tee shirt and basketball shorts nobody cares.

I love, love, loved this place!!! I wish it was in my hometown of Phoenix. The food was amazing, the drinks were amazing and the service was. Wait for it… Amazing! My husband and I went for brunch and I had the smoked salmon crepes and the Anelece. I so wish I had more time to go back and enjoy more of their menu. If I lived in the area I would totally make this one of my regular spots. Our waiter was so awesome and you could tell he lived his job and the food there as well, I can’t remember his name but it began with an A and he had a big beard!

This review is combo of the two times I’ve been in. For some context, the first time I stopped in, it was not a great experience but I was chalking it up to the restaurant being under renovation and it being very busy that day. Came back for round two, and sadly it wasn’t much better this time around either sadly. Food was just OK, but took forever to come out and wasn’t worth the wait. It was a Tuesday afternoon too, so it wasn’t like I came in on a super busy Friday night or something. I’m not sure I’ll be back for round three, but they say time heals all wounds so you never know.

The first anniversary of Bell+Whete was the perfect occasion to drop by and grab a drink. They celebrated the first anniversary with live music, free appetizers being passed around the restaurant and 1 $ off of their drink menu. The beer list goes on and on forever. As we were waiting for our drinks, we were greeted with some free appetizers and they all tasted amazing. There was pork belly sliders, some potatoes garnished with goat cheese and cherry tomatoes and some other apps, tiny bites, yet really pleasing to my palate. There is a decent HH menu and the prices are reasonable. We ordered a flatbread and it was good. Parking can be tough which is the case for most of the restaurants downtown without a designated parking lot. Just read in the reviews that this place and local 360 are run by the same group of people and it is funny that I visited both places in the same day, going from one to the other and liked both of them. So I guess, they are consistent in being good. Overall, I really liked this place, the ambience was great, the food was good and the company even better. Happy anniversary Bell+Whete

Woo! So happy to have stumble across this place for late night HH(happy hour). The HH menu selection is pretty big, so if you’re hungry, I recommend making a stop here to satisfy your late night hunger pangs. Located in the Belltown area, this place is pretty easy to find. Ample seating with small, private and cute booths, and if you want, there are a few seats outside too. Parking might be a bit tough, but what can you expect from the Belltown area? My friend and I felt crazy hungry, and so… we ordered a ton of small dishes to try. Food: Duck wings, mussels, pigs in a blanket, and pork belly. First of all, the pork belly was definitely my top favorite. Lightly roasted with a glazed and sweet texture, the pork belly was very flavorful and had a nice balance of a salty and sweet taste to it. Crispy on the outside and tender /juicy on the outside. As for the pigs in the blanket, the sausage was pretty good, however, the dough around it was a bit dry and sticky to chew on. If you’re in the mood to gnaw and play with your food, try the duck wings! These ended up being a bit tough to eat since the wings were more bone than meat. Nevertheless, the seasonings used on the duck wings were excellent and very unique to eat. Finally, the mussels dish was about average. The fries that went with it were a bit cold and limp but the mussels itself was tasty enough with the buttery like broth that came with it. As for the drinks, the Moscow mule was the standard and if you’re feeling like drinking some sweet white wine, I would suggest pairing your food with the German Riesling(so refreshing!). Ambience of this place was pretty relaxing, there were some live music in the background, and service is great =] Definitely will be stopping by here again to sample the other dishes.

The sister restaurant to Local 360– we came here on a Friday when we learned it’d be an hour wait everywhere else close by(with no reservation). Seems like they’re still working out the kinks for the food. The market fish(red snapper) was the best dish. The gnocchi and flat bread don’t even compare to List which is 1 block over and slightly cheaper. Their house flatbread is strange and has no flavor. It’s a pretty big space so you can come for a meal or just for a drink. Honestly, there are way better food spots in this area and I wouldn’t waste my time here, especially after considering the price.

This place is incredibly slow. when I finally got my food I was even hungrier each time. I am so disappointed with how slow it took them to get my food out. Our fries never even came out and we were already done with our main courses. As for the food, I thought they were nicely presented and tasted great, but it was salty(especially the soup). I drank like 5 glasses of water in one sitting. Also, the rotisserie chicken was quite dry and there was not enough flavor. I would recommend the pork belly(nice and crispy) and the spicy garlic sausage(flavorful and the caramelized onion was great). If you don’t mind waiting forever to get your food or salty food then give this place a try.
