I love how many little sandwhich places there are in Downtown Seattle! I got the Waverider, and it was so superbly delicious. I liked the environment, and my husband loved the beer! The wait for our food was a tad long, but it was super busy. All of the employees where super fun as well. Will be back!

My bf and I regularly have a disagreement about where to get the best fries. He liked mcDs and I like JITB. But we both agreed that these are the best. Great real flavor and super perfectly crispy. Perfect. We also got a salad to share which was amazing and each for a sandwich or burger. He was so excited to get a gluten free sandwich and the food was great. The only down side was the survive was a bit slow but they seemed steady for Valentine’s Day and being so late. I don’t hold that against them though. The waitress was great and even knew that one of the meats bf wanted was marinated in something that had soy sauce(not gluten free) and she recommended a different meat. Very impressed. I just wish she had warned us about how had the cherry soda was. Tasted like mouth wash. Ew. All in all I loved it. I never thought I’d complain there was too much bacon on my burger. Amazing!

It was late when we walked past HoneyHole. I barely glanced at the restaurant as I was rushing to find shelter from the rain. It wasn’t until I walked a few feet away that the smell of grilled meat stopped me. I had to turn around and grab a bite. I ordered The Gooch($ 12) with a side of fries. Eating the sandwich is such an experience, in a good way. The sandwich contains a generous serving of hot sliced tri tip beef. There is a sauce that comes with the sandwich. Dip the sandwich before each bite for the full delicious effect.

Ordered a western Skye burger which is supposed to come on ciabatta and they served it to me on a baguette. I asked the server why it was on a baguette and she said because they were out of ciabatta. That’s fine if you’re out but you should tell me before I order it, before you serve it to me, or tell me when you serve it to me. Don’t wait for me to ask you about it. Horrible service.

I’m not sure how this place got 4 stars. I used to regularly frequent the Carnegie deli in NYC and for less money I ate far better sandwiches. HoneyHole needs to take some lessons. We went in for late lunch and ordered takeout. A Gooch and a Buford T Justice. Both were over toasted to the pint of burnt buns, skimpy on meat and lacking in any noticeable amount of the ‘supposed’ ingredients. The Gooch had esscthan half a thimble of mayo on it, and three tiny strings of onions. On the Buford you needed a microscope to find the slaw. $ 22 with a tip, are you f’ing kidding me? To add insult, it took 34 minutes from ordering to get these sorry excuses for sandwiches.

I’ve come here exclusively for The Dude numerous times now… at midnight… this is the greatest sandwich in the whole city. Even at 6pm it’s maybe the second best sandwich. The beef its tender the cheese is melting and the bread is like a cozy perfect blanket cuddling it all together seducing you into its bed of flavors. To top it off the beer is pretty good I there… this is my go to spot on Capitol Hill.

Bar nightlife: A decent place to drink at night. It was busy when we initially came in… But emptied out pretty quickly around 12 on Friday night. The food smelled delicious! Too bad we had some dinner before. We only got some beers. Pretty cool place to eat late at night and drink some beers.

I’ve eaten at HoneyHole a couple of times on weekend nights, when the restaurants are shut, and we want more than bar food. It’s a great little place on Pike St, just a few blocks from the broadway bars. They serve food till 1′ on weekend nights. The place is kinda dark and rustic when you go in. They don’t have a lot of space, so there might be a wait if you go around 9 – 10 pm. They do have a small bar, and also late night happy hour drink specials. The cocktails are pretty good, though on the fruity side. The food is really good. They have tons of veggie options as well. Almost everything I’ve tried there has been outstanding. The one time I thought it was dry, I asked for some garlic aioli and that did the trick. Service is decent. Nothing great, but you couldn’t expect more. Priced very well. Parking might be a problem at nights, because of it’s proximity to the bars. Will definitely recommend for a late quick-bite before heading to the bars. Can’t wait to go back!

Finally got a chance to try Honey Hole today and it definitely lived up to the hype! I ordered«The Dude». Probably the best steak sandwich I’ve had in the Seattle area. Tons of flavor packed into an amazing sammy. I’ll be back for sure. Sandwich: 9 Fries: 9.5 Atmosphere: 8

Wow what an amazing place! I keep passing this place and kept over looking it. I’m glad to have finally gave in and gave it a try! I must admit their sandwiches are the best thing ever and it’s definitely on my favorite list and highly recommended places to go! The Gooch is definitely my favorite sammich.

I’ve tried almost all the hot sandwiches and just the other day I got one of the cold sandwiches to go for a bus ride the next morning. This place does sandwiches right and man I really wish we could get good sandwiches like these in Vancouver. My favourite is the gooch, since I’m a huge fan of the horseradish flavour mixed in with the beef. The club cold cut sandwich exceeded my expectations. I originally though cold cuts might be lacking, but man they stuffed it with ingredients and I would not hesitate to recommend them if you’re looking for a sandwich to leave in the fridge overnight, or just to eat later. Oh yeah, the fries here are also pretty goddamn tasty if you are a fries fiend as well. The setup of the restaurant is pretty amusing, I always laugh at the tiki bar inside when I see it.

Stopped here for lunch right after arriving in Seattle. We were famished and really just looking for anything to fill our bellies, but I’m glad we stopped here! We ordered the: Texas Tease — this was my choice, because I was drawn to the BBQ chicken. This was smokier than the Burford T Justice(which is also another BBQ sandwich) and the flavor was a little stronger, but still very yummy! Emilio Pestovez — this vegetarian sandwich was my sister’s choice. She’d looked up top picks on Unilocal and decided to go with this one. The tomato patty(aka. smoked tomato field roast) is a little off-putting if you look at it, but it’s actually quite delicious. You’d think that a purely veggie sandwich would be quite bland, but that is not the case. This was a very flavorful sandwich! Burford T Justice — this was my dad’s choice. This is also a BBQ sandwich, but the meat is pork instead of chicken. I think this might have been my favorite of the three sandwiches we tried, because the creaminess of the coleslaw complemented the pork really well and the additional cabbage made me feel just a tad bit more healthy. This sandwich felt quite a bit more substantial than the Texas Tease. We also ordered a bowl of the Soup of the Day, which happened to be a butternut squash bisque. I was worried this would be too salty, but I’m glad that it was just salty enough to bring out the butternut squash flavor. You order at the counter and are given a number for your table. They do bring the sandwiches to the table side and also bus the table for you, which is nice. PS. If you are looking for parking, there’s plenty of FREE2 hour street parking on the residential streets nearby!

This is one of those odd places… I’ve heard a TON about it, you could smell it a block away and there are vegetarian options! However, I was kinda disappointed by my sandwich but a day later I was craving it… weird! I got The Juke. The fake chicken was hard to eat(rubbery) and as a vegetarian I rarely eat fake meat but was craving BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce was slightly vinegary but with the banana peppers it was divine! Also the bread was perfect :) I did notice gluten free options. Boyfriend got something with painted hills brisket & he thought it was mediocre(but he is a competitive BBQ chef and knew ordering brisket was risky). However, we were both craving this later & are planning our return but looking forward to trying something new.

I’ve been here a few times now, it’s especially convenient that it’s only a few blocks away from where I live so i can just quickly pick up a sandwich for lunch. I’ve only tried a couple of their hot sandwiches(The Dude and the Fast Eddie). The Dude has grilled flank steak with greens, provolone cheese, and tomato relish. It wasn’t too heavy and I was actually able to finish the entire sandwich probably because I was starving. The Fast Eddie was also really good but more on a heavy side with thin slices of tri tip with pepper jack cheese and onions and I remembered not being able to eat the whole sandwich but i saved it for later! If you call to pick up it’s really quick only 10 – 15 minutes. I’ve also eaten there around dinner time and the place is always packed with a slightly different dinner menu. They serve alcohol and their sandwiches come with sides(salad or fries) for a slightly higher cost. Very friendly people that work there and fast pick up service so I will definitely be back!

I really liked my sandwich. The fast eddie was crunchy, rich, and the right portion for a sandwich dinner. I also love the idea of a restaurants that serve sandwiches at dinner time. I always want sandwiches, but societal norms dictate that I should only have them during lunch. HoneyHole strikes back at the jackbooted thugs who tell us when we can have sandwiches and serves them late. Bravo. Cocktails are pretty good too.

I would probably give honey hole 5 stars, but I got a sandwich with horseradish and I just don’t like horseradish(this is my fault). So I ordered the Gooch, which had really nicely cooked roast beef, but the horseradish was just too spicy for me. It wasn’t slathered in it, so don’t worry that it’s drowning in horseradish, but even a little bit of horseradish makes my nose burn. It came with au jus which was fantastic. I can tell honey hole has really high quality sandwiches. I hope I can come again and give them five stars with another sandwich!

Thoroughly obsessed with HoneyHole, it is definitely a staple sandwich spot that I recommend to all my friends visiting Seattle! The menu is plentiful with both non-vegetarian & vegetarian options that you could find a little something for everyone at the table. While the drink list is not extensive, the food menu makes me so happy, that I forget about the drinks half the time. I usually go for the«Fast Eddie», which is a personal favorite for me and is always consistent with loads of tri-tip steak, sweet hot peppers, and a crispy & hot demi baguette! Overall, the location is pretty small — with only 5 – 6 seats on the bar-top, but the service always seems to be on point. While you still might be asking yourself, is it really that good. The answer will always be YES in my books. Definitely try this place if you are in the area.

We walked past HoneyHole several times, and I thought it was a strip club at first. Located on a corner in Capitol Hill, with lots of other bars around, it seemed likely with the walls painted a deep red. Later when searching for a lunch spot, HoneyHole came up again. Oh! Sandwiches! Luckily, there was no nudity required. Although with sandwiches called the«Gooch,» I had to question whether there was more salaciousness to this restaurant than the storefront was leading us to believe. In all seriousness, that sandwich was delicious! The Gooch is beef tip, horseradish, red onion, and cheese. It was all melted together and not overly greasy. I also had a side of fries with ranch, as recommended by other Unilocalers. Get it! We almost passed this place up, not only because I thought they sold skin instead of sandwiches, but also because of the mixed reviews. What’s up, Unilocalers? The sandwiches here are fantastic and definitely worth my hard earned tourist dollars.

Went here for lunch with my colleagues a couple of days ago. The service was warm and friendly and we were seated right away after we placed our orders. I got the«Gooch» with a side of fries. The sandwich by itself was ok. I was expecting a lot more after reading all the stellar reviews. The meat and bread were a little dry and lacking flavor. What made up for that was the au jus they serve on the side. Dip into this and let the bread soak up the flavors and the sandwich transforms. I loved the combo but it would still have been nice to have a great sandwich to begin with. The fries are pretty good but way too salty IMO. Get them with the ranch. It’s a surprisingly awesome combination.(Thanks to a colleague for suggesting this). My friends seemed to order a bunch of other sandwiches and everyone liked theirs too. I would love to go back and try a few more. I do think it’s a little pricey as compared to «Paseo» or «Royal Grinder» but since it’s in Cap Hill it’s hard to compare.

Yes, yes & more yes! I happened to find this lovely spot on Unilocal(thanks to all my lovely Unilocalers that I can trust) because 8oz Burger Bar around the corner was still closed at 1130A. I strictly came out to Cap Hill just for 8oz but boy am I glad they weren’t open! The wait was a little longer than anticipated considering that when we went in, it wasn’t that busy, which is why I only gave 4 stars. The sandwich though… that’s a whole other story. I got the Fast Eddie. Very appropriate name because it doesn’t last long on your plate. The faster you can get it into your mouth to enjoy the flavors, the better. The tri-tip steak they use melts in your mouth, the peppers & sautéed onions are a perfect match & the pepper jack cheese tops it off like no other! Plus the bread was the perfect amount of crispy & perfect amount of soft. My friend got the Gooch, I didn’t try it but it smelt delicious. I can’t wait to come back to try the other options. They have so many. It’s also a bar at night.

Very solid sandwiches. I got the Fast Eddie which consists of sliced tri-tip steak, pepper jack cheese, onions, peppers and an aioli with a side of fries. The bread was nicely toasted. The steak was thinly sliced so it was sort of like roast beef. The steak itself had good flavors. The peppers added another dimension to the sandwich which is good. I did feel like I had a bit of onion breath afterwards so drink lots of water or chew some gum. The fries were very crispy and slightly salty but nothing ketchup couldn’t fix. The food came out in a timely manner. There were a few people ahead of us so its expected that it would take a bit but I wouldn’t have considered the wait for food long.

I was debating whether or not to give this place 4 or 5 stars, but I opted to give them 5 because I couldn’t think of any problems besides the wait. They had super bomb sandwiches and the service was pretty good. They had people walking around cleaning tables so that’s always a plus. When I think back about the sandwiches I had here, I’m actually drooling just a little bit. They were really good and juicy. And hot. and the bread was well toasted and delicious too. But anyways, I got the Buford T. Justice, which was pulled pork with BBQ and I thought that was good. But my friend got the Gooch and I thought that was better than mine! It has horseradish in it which adds a little kick. It went pretty well with all the other ingredients with the sandwich. However, if you don’t like that wasabi taste, it might not be for you. Overall, I really liked the sandwiches here, but I will say that the wait took a while. I came at around 3PM on a Saturday and I was surprised that the wait took so long. So if you have time and you’re willing to wait, check this place out. Oh, and they play pretty good UK-punk rock music here :)

You put the honey in the hole, and you shake it all up… And then a sandwich comes out and it’s a stronk sandwich and you wish it wasn’t $ 11, but then you finish half of the sandwich, and you’re like, «omg that was heavy. they look small but i guess size doesn’t matter», because you ordered«The Gooch», because it reminded you of that one Beatles song where they say«goo goo g’joob», but actually you got it because it has delicious tri-tip steak, flanked by dat horseradish mayo and au jus for maximum flava-flav, and you take a bite and dayum yr like«deze sandwiches are built to satisfy» and then you realize that they don’t actually put honey in their sandwiches, so you sue them for false advertising, but then you take another bite of the sandwich, and you’re like«nah, bro», and you finish the sandwich, and then you go home and netflix and chill, by yourself. Strong 4 outta 5
