The burger was OUTOFTHISWORLD! Tried the mac and cheese and that was pretty stellar too. They offer a happy hour menu with food with the order of a drink. Small quaint country atmosphere with a full bar. It may have been the time of day but it seemed like they focused more on drinks than the food which I would definitely come back for on their own. The only thing I didn’t like was the waitress/bartender’s short response to my dissatisfaction to my drink and the fact that with only a few customers in at the time the other two girls working could be seen sitting at a table counting their tips. Having previously worked in the restaurant business, I always suggest counting your cash behind closed doors for more reason than one.

Came in by myself to grab a bite. When I asked the hostess for a table she insisted that I sit at the bar, which was completely packed. Asked her to to put my name down for a table, at which point I just got an annoyed looked. I was told that the wait was going to be 15 minutes. Gave them my number. After 30 hour I went back inside to ask what the wait was and I was told they called me but I didn’t pick up, which wasn’t true. Went around the corner to Honey Hole instead, great food and much better service.

This is seriously the best burger I’ve had in a looonnng while. I could go on but, I need to give props to Michelle, the sweet bartender who made me a specialty cocktail. She was out of some cocktails for the night and I said I would just like a prosecco with vodka. She said sure and came back with her own creation of her own that was freakin delicious! We ended up ordering 3 more rounds. I’ll be back for the juicy food and the drinks. I forgot to mention that I asked for lettuce instead of bun for my burger and they freakin made cut lettuce in the shape of a hamburger bun. No one does that in Seattle that I’m aware of.

Service: The service was standard we were helped immediately and treated well and taken care of in a very timely manner. Food: Holy Cow! I got the Broadway burger the Mac and Cheese and the truffle garlic fries. This burger was one of the best burgers I have ever had at a restaurant. The burger itself was cooked perfectly, with great seasoning and outstanding flavor. All the added sides blended well with the overall taste making this burger packed with a ton of flavor and definitely lots of garlic! The fries were good and similar to the ones you get at a sounders game as they were nice a crisp with loads of garlic topped on them. The mac and cheese was fine, it was supposed to have been made with Beecher’s cheese, but it looked like the mac and cheese had been pre-made and then reheated. Solely based on the food I would definitely come back to try more of their different kinds of burgers and their variety of sides. I personally always think a burger is good when you can take the first bite and taste every component in the burger. I can definitely say that if all of 8 oz Burgers are like the one I tried then they have created some dam good burgers! Atmosphere: We got there at around 9 on a Monday so it wasn’t too busy but the atmosphere was pleasant yet lively. Overall I would definitely recommend 8 oz and will be returning!

Really good burgers. My only complaint really would be the buns. They are really well made buns, but don’t hold up to the big burger with all the ingredients. By the time you’re half way through the bun is soaked and falling apart. Again I like the bread, they just don’t hold together. Kimchi deviled eggs tasted good, but the pork belly was undetectable in the dish. A few dried out measly strands of shredded pork are not what people expect when you mention pork belly.

I went here with my family while being seen at Swedish hospital for my son’s birthday… This place is pretty stinking bomb. It does seem they’re trying too hard to be trendy. The wooden walls and depictions of random animals… I mean, come on… It actually took away from the food. The plating was the same… Dumb. But yeah the food was… Okay. That’s about it really.

If you are in Capitol Hill getting a burger at this spot is a MUST. My boyfriend & I happened upon it after a visit to Elliott Bay and I’m so happy we discovered this gem. Their burgers are absolutely FANTASTIC, and their menu is huge which guarantees you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for. I do wish they include fries with their burgers(you have to buy separately), but other than that I have nothing negative to say about this place. It’s very cute on the inside, too!

I discovered this place because BenjimanTV spoke so highly of it(props to you if you know who I’m talking about!). I’ve seen him come here on many occassions in the vlog, so I knew I had to try it for myself. We had a good 20 minute wait before getting seated. The water comes in these hipster glasses, which was neat. Make sure to come here for happy hour for their awesome food deals on top of the drinks. They have happy hour daily from 4pm to 6pm and 9pm to close. I ordered the 8oz burger with truffle fries($ 13). The burger is thick and juicy in medium. With arugula, bacon, grilled onions, beecher’s flagship chedder, and truffle aioli, what more do you need in a burger? All of the ingredients made a great combination and I finished every last bite. The truffle fries were tasty as well, although it could definitely have more garlic toppings. But the fries did go great with their thick and sweet ketchup, which you must dip into. I’m not a big fan of ketchup and was even dipping my burger into the condiment! Tip: There’s only one restroom and it’s behind the door next to the kitchen. I was confused at first if the door to the left was also a restroom or if there was a ladies vs. gentlemen restroom.

Such a delicious burger spot with grass fed meat that tastes so fresh! I split there«8oz» which is there signature burger, and the Madison. The Madison had rosemary infused aioli which was so delicious ! Both are worth trying and they pair perfectly with the truffled garlic fries ! The Portland Co organic ketchup and mustard are literally out of this world! Will definitely come back to this place when I am back in town !

This 4⁄5 rating is based on the awesome burger my hubby created and the delicious sweet tots! It does not represent great service! I created my own burger — grass-fed patty, American White Cheese and Bacon Fig Jam. The Patty was under-seasoned, the cheese was far to mild(I ordered it based on the waitresses encouragement) and the fig jam had no trace of bacon. Very upsetting. Hubby, however, made magic happen! He chose to top his with garlic aioli and Gorgonzola. The Gorgonzola wasn’t over powering, so the awesome-ness of the aioli could really shine through! I would definitely order something like this on my next visit! I ordered the sweet tots without cinnamon sugar, so they didn’t have much flavor on their own. But the honey curry sauce they were served with was awesome! I want more!

As I lay here starring at the ceiling, I am trying to recall my Seattle adventures. Oh the good times I had, especially at 8 oz which happened to be my first meal in this growing city! We stopped in during happy hour which happened to be the best decision ever. The happy hour menu is reasonably priced and quite selective. They also include their house burger which I heard was fantastic — although I can only speak from experience about the PIKE Burger. If you like jalapeños, authenticity, and flavor, this juicy burger is for you. With confidence, I have never been so pleased with a burger. I was in heaven when I was devouring it. No shame. It had the right kick to it with a sweet side to it. And please don’t get me started on the rolls they use. I forget the name, but the buns were so soft, semi-sweet, and chewable. #fresh. It was absolutely delicious and I recommend it hands down. Furthermore, this place is cute. It’s the perfect size with some pretty neat decorations. Also, I have to give credit to the people who work there. They were super friendly, funny, and killing it with their style. Come here without asking questions please.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. We landed in Seattle around 9:30pm and we were STARVING! This place caught our eye, since we all love burgers and were in the mood for a nice juicy one(that’s what she said). First of all, the place is super cozy and has a very romantic and casual ambiance. We started with their ribs poutine. I had never had poutine before, so I did not know what to expect. I absolutely loved it! For my entrée I got their signature 8 ounce burger. Soft toasted bun, with crispy bacon, juicy patty, garlic aoili dressing and arugula. All the flavors mixed together was just completely out of this world amazing. I have tried some great burger places in LA and other cities, but nothing quit has compared to 8 ounce. We loved it so much we came back the next day for lunch. This was our favorite meal we had in Seattle. Must try!!!

Pretty standard burger fare, but not much better than Dicks. Tried their popcorn chicken during a second visit to give this place another shot, but was underwhelmed once again. Chicken was overdone, fried within an inch of its life. Delicious, puffy onion rings is holding up the star rating for me.

Well, crap. I really had no idea what I was missing until this past Saturday when I went with a bunch of guys for a 9pm dinner! It was happy hour, so I got the classic 8 oz. burger(arugula, onions, bacon, cheddar, truffle aioli) with garlic truffle fries for less than $ 15. First of all, for me, it’s hard to beat anything with bacon, truffle, or aioli. This one had all three, so I was seriously salivating as I read the menu. I asked for my patty to be medium, and I got a perfect medium. Uh, it was so amazingly meaty, juicy, and just freaking delicious in its entirety! Definitely one of the best burgers I have had, and I will order it over and over again! The fries were delicious, but not as delicious as I expected them to be. I thought the distribution of the truffle and garlic was disappointingly uneven — more just at the top. I would like for the truffle and garlic flavors to trickle down more, but that’s just me. I ordered two variations of Moscow mule that night — first, the rosemary, and then I got the regular. I didn’t dig the rosemary at all. I like tart stuff but not this one. It had a weird finish. Like something was fermented. The regular was average, which is good enough. I’m not hating. Service was good! Our server did well on our party of nine, and it was a busy night!

Great place for killer burgers in Capitol Hill area. The menu has an extensive variety of burgers to choose from, you are guaranteed to find something that suits your taste. As you can hopefully tell by the name of the restaurant all burgers are 8oz. Which is not much if you are overly hungry. You can build you own burger with wild boar, turkey, beef, etc. The«The 8oz.» is what you may expect. Super juicy burgers, good ol’ thick patties, fresh soft buns. If those are things you fancy, then 8 Oz. Burger & Co. is your place to be! The«Sweet Potato Tots» were incredible. They were delicious!(comes with pieces of rosemary, a side of curry mustard). I had to wait about 15 minutes to get a seat, so make a reservation. The waitstaff was wonderful and our server was upbeat, friendly and welcoming. Restaraunt was very crowded and loud. It’s a very lively spot, so may not be best for those looking to have a quiet, intimate dinner. This place is kid friendly. They have a kids menu, crayons etc. $ 8 Kids menu consists of Grilled Cheese, Sliders or Popcorn Chicken. The place is good, I won’t deny that, but it is a little expensive. Overall an awesome experience! *Happy Hour: 4:00 — 6:00PM *Free 90 minute parking is available downstairs in the QFC parking garage.

What a pleasant experience this place was. My Husband and I were visiting Seattle and had a craving for a burger so decided to give this place a shot– so happy we did! Delicious tasty burgers and super friendly service! My husband ordered his burger medium and it came out well done. We let our waiter know but told them don’t worry about it no need to waste food and throw this away. The manager(her name was Sujin) I believe came over apologized and took care of us. It was a very nice and professional gesture for her to do that. The selection of beers are great, ambiance is cool, and staff is super friendly. This place definitely deserves 5 stars!

They defiantly make the best burgers in town and they claim to use high quality ingredients. I find the menu a little confusing and overwhelming, I guess they could simplify that. I recommend going for their happy hour after 9, the menu is a lot simpler and the prices are much better. This was the second I was going there after 4 years and they have definitely improved since then.

Had a great experience here while visiting family in Seattle. My wife and I are sticklers for burgers and are usually let down because they are not properly-cooked. We order our beef medium rare and these were happily cooked as ordered. The restaurant is small and does not take reservations. I called in advance on a Sunday late afternoon to see if they could accommodate our large party(10 people). I was told that they have 1 long table in the back that would fit us and told me that family eating there should be finished in about 45 mins. This worked out perfectly for us and we got table when we arrived. Everyone in our party was very pleased with their meals. Food is super fresh and tasty. These were some of the best burgers we’ve eaten, as well as the fries. 2 of our kids had mac and cheese and sliders and they demolished their food. Food was presented with precision. Our server was attentive and the manager checked on us twice. I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in Seattle! Highly recommended.

You know some nights when you sit there and you’re like, «Man I really really want a burger»??? Well, I had one of those nights recently, so I searched Unilocal for a highly rated burger place and browsed through pictures looking for a pic of a burger with some pink in the middle(yep, it’s a must for me) and soon found this one. In no time, I had a beautifully compact but tall burger and an order of aromatic garlic fries. I remember looking at it and thinking, «Oh this is good for like a meal and a half if not two meals.» 15 minutes later, I had inhaled most of it. It was SO amazingly good. Pink in the middle, with a good sear on the meat. Juicy meat but the bun held up. The garlic fries are second only to Gilroy’s garlic fries. Even just thinking about it now is making my mouth water.

Wow! Tried 8 Oz. for the first time this morning and it was amazing! I know I say this a lot but… this honestly might be the best burger joint in Seattle! The beef was cooked to perfection, the bun was a perfect combination of crispy and soft, and best of all was the Oreo espresso shake! Without a doubt the best milk shake I’ve ever had. If you like burgers then you will LOVE8 Oz. Burger: 9.5 Fries: 8.5 Onion rings: 9.8 Shake: 10!!! Atmosphere: 9

This place would’ve gotten a 5 star if our waitress was nicer – she seemed like she hated her life or something. But man! The place was packed! So glad I made a reservation for my friends and I during dinner time. So I ordered veggie burger wrapped in lettuce-and literally the veggie patty was in between half of whole lettuce head hahaha It was funny but sort of inconvenient since it’s hard for me to eat that so I had to cut it into little pieces but boy it was good!!! So much flavor packed into it with different spices, onions, pickles and mayo with tomatoes. I also ordered a side of garlic truffled fries(btw fries are side orders, does not come with the burgers) and they were delicious!!! Highly recommend them. My friends ordered the 8 oz burger(optional: you can make it more epic by putting over easy egg on it) and onion rings with sweet potato tots. Sweet potato tots were pretty good(sweet and savory), onion rings are amazing too!!! The guys especially loved the 8 oz burger. The only thing was the service. Our waitress wasn’t very friendly and looked like she hated her job/life. She was also nowhere to be seen when we wanted to order more stuff. But other than that everything was good. The food itself was just amazing!

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch we’ve been anticipating for this day for a while. I had a veggie burger and I also got the garlic fries. The burger was great! It’s also really cute in the inside. Be aware that the prices for the burger is just for the burger. Fries are sides and you have to buy it separately. The service was a little slow. But that was about it.

This place is like a hipster burger joint. It’s pretty clean and has a bar for anyone who likes to drink alcohol with their burger. The servers were nice and quickly seated us. They were consistent about accommodating us. The menu was very creative and their varieties of burgers was unique. I ordered the basil burger which consist of an egg, pesto, and slices of ham with a side of truffle fries! The food was excellent and presentation was well put out. I would come back once in a few months.

Okay, so, automatic –1 star for the fact that you HAVETOPURCHASEFRIESSEPARATELY. What the hell kind of burger doesn’t come with fries? That’s so unamerican. Maybe it’s a Seattle thing. My burger looked so sad all alone on the plate. Just sitting there with no fries, no pickle, nothing. A friend really talked up this place, so I had to try. Also, I have yet to eat a good burger in Seattle, so I was hopeful. Anyway, the burger was okay. I have had many better burgers. On the small side, not the juiciest, not the most flavorful, Not good enough to be $ 12 +3 for fries, but very tasty, nonetheless. We opted for the truffle garlic fries which were yum. So, in short, decent food, snob pricing, no fries included in the already high price. No thanks.

Great happy hour — cheap beers(the $ 4IPA was realy good and I don’t even like beer) and other selections. The mac and cheese was very savory and one of my favorites, but I can see how some people might not like it because they use cinnamon and it does make the pasta taste sweet and well, different than what you’re probably used to. The popcorn chicken was good — a tad spicy. Truffle garlic fries were pretty average. I still have yet to try the burgers(seems silly now that I think about it) but will be back to try! I’ve heard good things about them but also that they can be overpriced — so we’ll see. It looks like build your own burgers could be expensive but I saw some decently priced burgers for around $ 12 on the menu — that seems very reasonable to me.

We serendipitously wandered by during happy hour, and emerged quite stuffed and happy! Here’s what we had: — Popcorn chicken — solid — Sliders — great. Comes with some kind of fig jam, though, which I removed some of, as the jam flavor was a bit strong for my taste — Brussel sprouts — delish! My fav. The cider vinegar really brought out some awesome flavor — Mac and cheese — seasoned with cinnamon, which we didn’t like. :/ — Wedge salad — just okay. Nothing too exciting Would definitely come back! So much more to try. :P

8oz with truffled fries — Good burger, good flavor. Can really tell it’s a good quality burger with well thought out ingredients. Price came out to $ 18 with a cranberry juice. A bit expensive for the portions. Really good service and the restaurant has a cool vibe.

One of the best tasting burgers I’ve had! My date and I shared an order of the short rib poutine fries, a large order of garlic truffle fries, an 8 oz «Pike» burger, and a Nutella green tea shake. Everything was absolutely delicious. The short rib poutine fries($ 12)were plenty. Comes with a mountain of gravy and mozzarella cheese. The fries were crispy despite how much gravy there was. Definitely worth sharing. Garlic truffle fries(large $ 6, small $ 3) — so flavorful! They definitely did not skimp out on the truffle. I love garlic and can eat an excessive amount of it, so I would have preferred more garlic, but to the normal person this would be perfect. The fries are very crispy as well :) The«Pike» 8oz($ 12) — absolutely delicious. The patty was thick and juicy. The buns were nicely toasted. The flavors were bold and incredible. It had just the right amount of spice that complimented the other flavors. I have a fairly high tolerance for spice in comparison to others I know so be careful if you generally don’t like spicy food. Nutella green tea shake($ 6 – 7?) — not bad. Actually, it’s pretty darn yummy. Just didn’t stand out much after all the deliciousness I just wrote about: P if you’re sharing it, let your server know as they will conveniently split it up in two smaller mason jars. My date and I only finished half of the large order of garlic truffle fries. We were absolutely stuffed! I would definitely come back here next time I’m in Seattle!

Expensive ass burgers that are amazingly delicious. You pay $ 12 – 20 for a burger that doesn’t come with any sides, so you easily spend $ 20−30/person if you decide to get their heavenly garlic truffle fries($ 6 for a large, 5/5, SOGOOD) and something to drink(full bar, decent draft list as well as a couple specialty cocktails). We tried the 8oz original and the Jackson burger. The burgers are thick and juicy and perfectly cooked, the bun/meat ratio was perfect. They’re the perfect portion, even though they look pretty small. Both amazing and flavorful. This place is small and cozy and cute. Dim lighting and rustic décor. The restrooms have chalkboard walls that people write all over. Service was good, but minimal. Took our order, checked back once, and left. Which was actually okay because they have water jugs set out on all the tables for you to refill on your own. I agree with some of the other Unilocalers that this would be a nice little place for a date. I could see parking becoming a nightmare on a busy weekend night, but we came early enough to avoid the chaos. Definitely recommend parking at the Harvard Market parking lot, located right below the place. It’s complimentary for the first 60 minutes.

This place is a lot smaller than I head thought. Very good burgers, only thing that surprised me a little bit was it was 18 dollars JUST for the burger(water buffalo), the fries didn’t come with they were an extra 3 dollars. Be warned if you are having the water buffalo it will be 5 dollars extra then regular beef. I was little also sad they didn’t carry Manny’s Pale Ale, that beer is everywhere. :-( Friends loved their burgers and salads too!

If my math is correct, the burger I ordered here is double the size of a quarter pounder at McDonald’s and three times as expensive. When you walk inside, you see a line of beer cans placed on the wall by the very most best-behaved drunks in the world. The interior is rustic. You’re actually in a cabin in the woods in the city. Watch out for bears. Don’t share beers with them. Bears + beers = misbehaving bears. Like any self-respecting Unilocallete, I ordered the 8oz. described as «our signature burger — arugula, balsamic onions, hills bacon, beechers flagship cheddar, truffle aioli.» If you didn’t know, Beechers makes artisanal cheese(whatever that means) in Pike Place. It’s damn good and you should damn try it(check, please?) And that goes for the burger as well. The burger seems tiny but it is deceptive in its food coma potential. It’s tall but not wide. The juiciness is overflowing. The salad in the burger(arugula and balsamic onions) worked the tanginess real hard into the rest of the flavors. When I held up the burger, the juiciness overflowed, but the bun was not sopping wet. That’s how you know the flavors are self-contained and not artificially created by dripping obscene amounts of sauce onto the patty. The bacon was how bacon should be. When you bite the bacon, the bacon bites back. The juiciness comes from the patty itself. All hail the aioli. Eating this burger was like going on an excellent first date. With each new bite, I learned something new about the burger. It’s the best burger I’ve eaten that I can recall. 5

I love this place so much. It’s definitely my favorite in Capitol Hill area. I and my friend had grilled brussel sprout and garlic French fries for appetizers, 8oz signature & the Madision as main courses. –brussel sprouts are a little burned, but tasty –fries are okay, smell good –burgers are amazing. Very juicy, fresh, and incredibly delicious(which I have never had before at other places) The staffs are friendly and courteous. These ladies provided fast and excellent service. I will definitely come back for milk shake and other burgers

I love the build your own burger with elevated ingredients concept. And the burgers they have on the menu are great if you can’t figure out or don’t want to build your own. I had the Madison Burger. It was delicious! However my only minor call outs would be that I could really taste that grilled charred flavor and it needed more cheese flavor for my liking but I still enjoyed it. Also had the garlic truffle fries .These were ok since I felt like we mostly got the bits and pieces of the French fries and $ 6 gets you a pretty small basket. My favorite thing though was the green tea and Nutella milkshake! Yummmm. Could’ve used a little more green tea flavor but it was super tasty. They even serve it in cute mason jars!

Great place for late night grubbin or even dates! The ambience is very relaxing with the dimmed lights and great food. Service — attentive. I liked how they left a water pitcher at the table for those thirsty drinkers. Bathroom — not gonna lie, these bathrooms are cute! I’ve never seen a sink like that! The whole place reminds me of a backyard of a barn and the bathroom is a fancy outhouse. Items we shared: Brussels sprouts — I remember these being crispy but I think they were a little bitter because of over cooking, but it was alright. Fried chicken — these were okay, the sauce was a Sriracha and mayo mix. More mayo tasting and sour. Grass fed sliders(comes in 2) — we had to share one 3 ways so I didn’t get much of a taste, but boy did it taste good. The beef was moist and the sauce was minimal so the beef flavor was not impeded. Short rib poutine — I found this tasty, but my friends did not like it as much. They did like it better the next morning as breakfast due to the gravy. It’s definitely different tasting due to the poutine, not sweet and way more savory. The gravy was overpowering and the short ribs lost in flavor.
