I went to this McDonald’s knowing full well that it wasn’t going to be anything great, but I at least expected to get what I paid for. Nope. Ordered 20 chicken nuggets and a big mac, only to bring the bag home and find that there were only 10 of the chicken nuggets. The girl who walked in ahead of me had ordered 10 of them, and gotten a small container of 4, so she’d come back in to get the missing 6. Idiots. I really should give up on thinking that people at McDonald’s can actually fulfill orders properly, as it seems like every single time(all of once or twice per year) that I go to one of their locations they screw up my order.

After seeing ads for the McPick 2 for $ 2 promo, McDonalds is running I stopped by this location only to find that they are not honoring that promo. Their promo is Pick 2 for $ 3

Not sure if it is just because it is in Seattle, but it is actually expensive for a McDonald’s. This is definitely not the most relaxing experience, but gives you a good taste of First Hill, that’s for sure. I have a lot of respect for the employees at this location because they put up with a whole lot. They have never messed up my order to date though, so that is a definite plus.

This is the dirtiest, grungiest McDonald’s i have ever been to. I’m scared I might need a dose of antibiotics to not catch anything here. This is just the dinning area. When I went into the bathroom I couldn’t get in there was a drug deal going on, and a guy shooting up in the stall !!! And to top it off there was a crowd of homeless people camped out front begging for change. Typically I find the most McDonald’s are clean… not this one!

Wow this is a convenient McDonalds in located the only one near Capitol Hill and really any residential area on the side of i-5 it can be kind of wacky because of all of the hospital people and the methadone clinics around. they are quick to get you in and out but you may have to deal with some crazies while dining here.

quite possibly the WORST mcdonalds in the world. there is a methadone clinic nearby and this is where all of the junkies hang out. half the restaurant is these people and it is terrible. i will never return and i do not feel safe here. also, the food is especially terrible and thrown together at this location. the service is iffy. and DONOT use the restrooms or you’ll be sorry(you’ll likely be mugged/assaulted). this location is expected to be torn down soon to make room for a new apartment building. hallelujah!

I have to give them one star. In May of 2014, the bag of food I got from them and brought home was not the bag I ordered. I lived a fair distance from there and had a long day at work. I called, talked to a manager, he said he would send me coupons to redeem my correct meal, 3 Quarter Pounders, 3 large fries and even though we got our 3 large cokes he said we could get those to, so 3 large cokes. It is January 2015 and still no coupons. I have been to the McDonalds website for the one on Madison and sent a total of 6 messages over the past almost year. Today I sent another one. I figured maybe screw it, I will take the loss and just reem them on Unilocal! So BOOO! Boo to the manager because they are clearly not of their word. Sickening. I honestly haven’t been to any McDonald’s since! I think I will find out who owns this particular franchise and write to them. They may want to rethink their staff!

I admit that I have eaten there a few times and it is a typical McDonalds with the exception that they allow dogs inside(against King County Health Code). Not the best for those with allergies and who wants the dog hair floating around?

They were out of standard McDonald’s food. When I inquired about it, the employee stated that they forgot to place the order with the company. In addition, the restaurant was dirty and not stocked properly. Would NOT recommend.

This is a McDonald’s. It meets my expectations of what a McDonald’s should be. I live across the street and eat here more than I care to admit. It’s one of the few«open late»(well, until 10pm) options in my immediate vicinity aside from Jimmy John’s, which nets it some bonus points. I don’t think I’ve had anything truly terrible from this location. They can be a little heavy on mayo or other burger sauces, I guess, and one time my burger was wayyy overdone, but generally it fulfills my inner McDonald’s fantasy. Not that sketchy a location(contrast with 3rd and Pine). Service is generally quite friendly! No drive-through!

Created a Unilocal account just to review this McD’s… it’s that bad. Every time I’ve gone in the service has been painfully slow. It would be understandable if it was during a lunchtime rush or something but there are probably more people working than dining at this location every time I’ve been in. Ordered a McChicken and a small fry and it took close to 10 minutes. Another time I went in I ordered 20 chicken nuggets and the larger woman who works there gave me 1 sauce packet… I asked if I could have one more and she said no. One sauce packet for two people sharing 20 chicken nuggets, yum! I stop by the McD’s down by Pike’s market for lunch sometimes during work and it’s 10x faster than this place with A LOT more people dining there. If you like a courteous staff and timely service… don’t go here!

This is 1 of my favorite mcdonald’s locations they know me well because I’m always there always ahead of me before I even know what I want to order. I always Swiss cheese on my burgers and breakfast sandwiches because it’s real scheese on like that processed american cheese. Roy the security officer is a really nice guy and so are the staff like Maria Rose. It is a pleasure to come there whenever I get a chance. If they make a mistake they always make it right which is very rare and far in between. It is December 2013 wishing them all happy holidays.

Very bad service, from the cashier and the manager. I was craving a quarter pounder with cheese. After ordering and paying(while still at the register) I asked the cashier to change my order to the meal deal and he told me no, it was you late. The manager was standing next to the cashier and he also said it was too late. What happened to customer service?

I arrived. I ordered. I ate the food. I survived just fine, and the place wasn’t half as shady as I expected.(How boring, no good stories to tell.) I mean, yes, it’s probably kind of shady at certain times of the day, but that’s typical of this area. Nothing too frightening, just don’t talk to creepy strangers. I’m a bit irritated at the amount of «reviews» slamming the staff for their looks. Yo, what does that have to do with the service? One of the employees was absurdly friendly and another seemed kind of stressed, likely because she’s working fast food on a weekend. It happens. I swear my fish filet gets smaller every time I order one, but that’s a problem with the whole chain. Sigh.

Ok. I admit it. I eat here. There, you happy? Sometimes I get hangovers. And sometimes I just need«shitty breakfast»(aka a totally unhealthy grease bomb) to fix it. This McDonald’s is walkable. It’s cheap. So I come here and get two sausage McMuffin’s and usually leave feeling more like a human being than I did when I walked in. I also come here when the man or I are sick. Growing up I used to get happy meals when i’d stay home sick — so there is something comforting in that $ 1 crap burger that makes the sniffles at least momentarily forgotten. So, there you go. It isn’t good. It isn’t horrible. It just«is» and serves it’s purpose when my body is failing me.

So sketchy, so awesome! To use restroom you will need either a hazmat suit to avoid CDC registration or riot gear to fend off the staff and/or hobos — rookie tip: the staff are scarier, especially the little man that looks like Pol Pot and seems desperate to catch a lil man* on man* action the moment more than one person enters. At this establishment, by «man», one would be unwise to assume that this was necessarily their gender of birth The only action in there is the mutation of some bird flu varieties into something that certainly spells doom for us all; but in the mean time have fun, don’t stay too long and don’t make eye contact with the local wildlife.

It depends on what your needs are how you score this McDonalds. I started eating breakfast here several times a month right after my husband died when I couldn’t stand to eat breakfast at home alone. I’d bring my newspaper crossword puzzle, have a sausage McMuffin with egg and coffee. They’d smile at me when I ordered and if not too busy when I got my tray of food. I’d sit and eat while working my crossword puzzle. I’m aware that people with problems are steady customers but in the 10 years nobody bothered me. When I leave ofttimes someone comes to help me dispose of my tray. It was my sanctuary during a very sad time and I continue to come here just to remember. For what I needed I rate this place 5 stars.

When I’m writing reviews like this one, there are two significant challenges that I have to face. One is finding out how I can write a review about McDonald’s and not make it sound like all the other copy-and-paste restaurants across the world. The other is simply figuring out how I can justify giving a five-star rating to a fast food restaurant without making it seem utterly ridiculous. And it’s going to be a tough one, but I’ll try to overcome those difficulties! First of all, I love these guys for feeding me while I’m on my breaks at work. Anything that can keep me from starving gets points for that in my book, but the people here are so nice! I’m on a first-name basis with the managers and some of the employees because I come here so often. I don’t have much time to chat with them because they have a job to do, but getting to see them as I get my dinners adds to the respite from my work. I’m not going to give out their names as I respect their privacy, but they certainly know who I am. Just ask them about Kevin and they’ll be able to talk about the guy who eats at McDonald’s WAY too much. To make up for that, I always get their salads. The bacon ranch salad with grilled chicken is good and has low calories as long as you don’t drench it in dressing. Their fruits and walnuts salad is also really good, and at $ 1.99, it is a better deal here than at other restaurants where I’ve see it go for $ 2.29. The grapes, apple slices, yogurt, and walnuts are all pretty nutritious and make me feel better about eating at McDonald’s. Of course, there’s also the less healthy options available here, and I do find it a pleasure to indulge in them every once in a while. Chicken McNuggets are good when gotten in two four-piece boxes. Any more is overkill for one person, and any fewer is not enough! It’s also hard to pass up their fries. They’re a little bit too salty, but since the prices for the different sizes don’t vary that much, I’m always tempted to get their large size. And no review of McDonald’s is complete without mention of their burgers. Their Angus Deluxe is the best, and I’ll just leave it at that. Overall, it’s a restaurant that has always served me well, and I haven’t had them be slow or get the orders wrong or disappoint me in some other way. Their bathroom has always been all right for me. The soap dispenser is always full, which is important to me, and they do clean it every day. I’m sometimes in the area around 10PM when they close, and I see them cleaning the bathrooms. Finally, they have good taste in music. The songs playing on their speakers seem to match the ones in my library surprisingly closely! Yes, when I’m reviewing this restaurant, I’m rating it for what it is and nothing more. This McDonald’s gets five stars and nothing less.

What’s wrong with this McDonalds? Nothing. What’s wrong with all McDonalds? A little something… but it’s still good! Need a late night pick me up? Dollar/value menu to the rescue!

I’m vegetarian and I hate McDonalds. I’ll humble myself and admit sometimes I still end up there. It is right next to my workplace. The two things I know for sure will happen every time I go here are as follows 1) my food will take more than 5 mins from ordering to arriving 2) I will have an uncomfortable and uninvited conversation with a drug addict/homeless person. And they charge 25 cents for all sauces.
