Friendly, efficient, and tasty! The tea lattes are delicious and I am hooked! Too bad California doesn’t have a coffee shop like this one. Bought two cups of tea lattes within 15 minutes. Hooked for sure.

Overlooking the Gum Wall and hidden underneath Pike Place Market, this was my favorite little café :) The place is cozy and cutely decorated. We ordered an Americano and one of their two winter specials: Ginger Dark Chocolate Mocha mmm… So yummy! We sat in their bar nook area that overlooks Post Alley. While sipping our hot drinks we looked at their Ghost book with old cut out articles about Pike Place hauntings! Ask for it if you can’t find it. They sell some miscellaneous items, but what I really wanted were stickers which they didn’t have at the moment! Please bring these back so we can rep Ghost Alley Espresso. Note: Not a good place to study or work as there is no Wi-Fi.

What a hidden gem! The salted nut latte I ordered totally gave me an instant orgasm. The location itself is perfect for people watching. The only downside is the tourists taking pictures of this café with me in it as I was seated by the big window overlooking Post Alley. It sort of feels like I’m some stripper on a window display at some red light district in Amsterdam. The cute barista was super in latte making. Unfortunately he seem to be very miserable manning the café by himself and he couldn’t even afford a smile. Must be a boring job for him. He must be immune to those dumb questions that tourists ask him every single day and how awesome the gum wall is(btw the gum wall is akin to people putting shit of different colors and sizes on the wall and calling it an art).

Good but overpriced coffee. I ordered an 8 oz. cup of the Sweet Lydia, which was described as chamomile tea + white chocolate + milk + espresso. Honestly, I couldn’t taste any espresso in my drink and this little cup cost $ 4! I do realize it’s in a touristy area and I also do appreciate their décor, service, and interesting drink concepts(Candied almond! Toasted marshmallow!) However, I probably won’t return.

Great little coffee shop tucked away in post alley. It’s super close to the gum wall, so if you hit that you will see it. Worth the trip, I got a mystery mocha and it was excellent. The barista let me guess what was in it and after I failed he let me in on the secret. Definitely would recommend!

Glad we found this spot. Actual decent coffee not far from the original Starbucks location.

I had a heck of a time finding this place. I was told to go here by a friendly fruit vendor in Pike Place Market. I walked through the length of the market several times before I saw the stairs to go down into Post Alley. Duh. Anyway, down the stairs and to the right is the tiny little corner shop named Ghost Alley Espresso. I’ve always wanted to open up my own little coffee shop and this place is practically my dream. I was helped by a woman that reminded me a lot of the teacher on The Magic School Bus. After talking with her for a bit, she made me an awesome Americano with cream. I grabbed it and walked around outside by the gum wall. I’d love to go back here the next time I’m in Seattle. It’s a wonderful little gem of a shop, tucked away from the general craziness upstairs.

I really like this little espresso joint. It’s in post alley, and with the cobblestone road, brick walls, gum wall it’s in the perfect spot i think for a Ghostly type café, very well themed. I’ve been here a few times now and the drinks have always been very good. Whens it’s not busy the barista is very engaging and you can tell she loves her craft… yet she isn’t over friendly or pushy on her product.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to make coffee and other morning delight beverages in a remodeled bathroom? If so, you’ve come to the right place! When I was on a food tour meeting in the alley, I stopped by here to get a bottle of water. The owner was working with her son in training. I didn’t partake in any coffee beverages myself but the owner was nice and the place itself is very interesting to see.

You can tell the girls here are so sick of the random BS from tourists. They’re super friendly and hilarious though, and I always have a good time when I go. The COFFEETHOUGH. I always get an iced americano and its always delicious and never acid. Am hoping people don’t find this place so it can be my secret still.

I’ve been going to Pike Market for 12 years now and never seen this coffee shop at all even when I did check out the gum wall which is right beside the place. Gareth found this place as it was in the background of someone’s photo of the gum wall. This place is small, therefore, it’s a take out situation. The place has a Halloween theme that is really charming. Even their flavour mixes have names like dragon blood and dead spider. Don’t bother trying to be cute and ordering your flavour shot using one of these horror inspired re-labelling for their flavour shots. The barista doesn’t have these memorized and rather than trying to play along he will just look at you annoyed. I wasn’t going to let his attitude deflate Mine. He eventually warmed up to us on the customer service side. After all who can resist two charming Canadians? If you order espresso it comes with sparkling water to cleanse the pallet which is something I’ve never seen at a coffee shop before. Gareth had an Americano which was okay. Not as strong as he’s accustomed to having but decent. No points lost but just an observation. I had an Earl Grey latte with sugar free caramel and a shot of espresso that I just made up and it tasted great. Ingredients: Earl grey tea bag Whole milk Espresso shot Sugar free caramel

Literally stumbled upon this place huffing up the hill from a Waterfront walk — and by that time we needed something. Cute shop, just a tiny hole-in-the-wall, but I love exploring those! Small inside, so you need to get your coffee to-go. Nice ghost theme of course and although Halloween is still a few weeks away, the orange and black decorations were already making an appearance. The Ghost Market Tour starts from here so the common theme makes sense. My son and I had the Iced Salted Nut — a combo of salted caramel and hazelnut — unique and delicious. And it was no trouble making mine a decaf. My other son was adventurous and had the«mystery mocha» which is described as a «barista’s choice» drink. Apparently she chose well because he loved it! From Pike Place Market start down the alley that leads to the Warerfront Steps. Ghost Alley Espresso is on your right, a short walk down before you get to the Steps, across from the Gum Wall.

By far my favorite coffee stop in Seattle! I’m a wee bit obsessed with the java and made it a point to stop by two to three coffee shops a day while visiting Seattle. After searching awhile for this place(it’s literally up the sidewalk from the gum wall right below Pike Place) I was relieved that there was only one person waiting in line. The menu is on the front of the counter so it’s a bit difficult to read if someone else is in front of you so it may be a good idea for them to post it above the counter as well. I was feeling frisky so I went with a little sweeter of a coffee than I normally do, the Salty Nut, a delightful combo of salty and sweet with salted caramel and hazelnut. I even told them light on the salted caramel and it still made the angels on my tongue dance! Just stop by here, you will thank me later.

Ghost Alley Espresso saved my day. My head was bangin’ from some major caffeine withdrawals. I dropped in, ordered an iced caramel latte since it was a hot day in Seattle, and my withdrawals disappeared after about half an hour. The sign said all drinks are made with 2 shots so… it’s my kind of coffee shop! The caramel was DELICIOUS. It wasn’t the fake caramel you would get at major, chain coffee shops. It was slightly thick, sweet, and full of flavor. The shop is super small and has about 1 seat for sitting so it’s best to grab it to go and enjoy a stroll past the gum wall and through Pike Place.

I’m a bit late in reviewing this place and while I was only there on vacation I will say I absolutely fell in love with this place. We were looking for breakfast before heading off to the aquarium and I stumbled in. While I was looking for food, my need for caffeine and curiosity won out. First off, it’s Espresso which I love. I’m Cuban, from Miami and if you know the two you know café Cubano is king. So I was already drawn in, the girl at the counter was friendly, helpful, extremely knowledgable and even shared what she was fixing for someone else in case I had been interested. Though I went with a crowd favorite the salted caramel which was to die for. Coffee is made right there so you can watch as its put together, unlike Starbucks where you can’t see too much of the process. She also explained where everything came from and the best part? There were more milk alternatives than I could bat an eyelash at. I’m lactose intolerant so normally I take my coffee black and when I have lattes soy or nonfat has always been the option. I’m not a fan of soy and coconut can alter flavor, though she had all those options she also had rice. I’m a huge sucker for rice milk since it’s pretty close in how it looks to regular milk and doesn’t alter flavor so I was in heaven. This place is small, it’s literally a hole in the wall under Pikes Place but those are the best kind. Next time I’m in Seattle I’ll for sure get every cup of espresso there. I have never been happier with a cup of coffee in my life.

Ditch the Starbucks and try this gem! Whenever my boyfriend and I are down by Pike Place, we always stop by to pick up an espresso and a bag of coffee to take home since we live a few hours away! The owners are the best. Around Christmas time, I went to buy a bag of coffee for my boyfriend and forgot my card in my car parked pretty far away. The owner heard my situation and gave me the bag for free! The closet-type cozy space is great for people watching by the infamous gum wall. They offer ghost tours as well!

Still a 3. I haven’t been back since I live in Los Angeles, but I’d like to assure anyone reading my review that I drink a lot of coffee and have had plenty of it made in a variety of ways at various locations, including made«strong.» I like strong coffee but I will reiterate that this did not taste strong to me, it tasted burnt. I guess I won’t comment further on price since that cost may well be in line with Seattle prices, who knows. While the move away from almond milk could be smart given the drought, it’s not like regular milk is without an environmental impact, nor is importing coconut milk from Thailand.

If you want to experience some local coffee flavor in Seattle, look no further! This cute little shop is conveniently located right next to the Gum Wall, directly under Pike Place Market. Ghost Alley stays true to its name by carrying various supernatural books, and even a cool zombie lampshade. There are only a few spots to sit inside by the window, and a table outside, so if you’re looking for some place you can relax and do your work, this isn’t for you. However, I was perfectly happy taking a drink to go so we could walk around and enjoy Pike Place Market more. The two ladies working behind the counter were very friendly and gave us our drinks promptly. The Salted Nut Latte I ordered was heavenly, and the perfect pick-me-up for a chilly day. Prices were not bad for what you get, and it certainly beats Starbucks! I’m definitely happy that we visited, despite it not being on our original list of places to see. Drinks: 4, Service: 4, Environment: 4, Price: 3

Oh my! I love this very cozy ghost alley gem. This is a must stop if you’re visiting the gum wall. It’s literally a few feet away from the fascinatingly interesting but gross wall. ;) I know Starbucks rule in this city. Finding little coffee shops like this with outstanding caffeine fixings is almost rare. I had the most wonderful hot chai latte and my three amigos enjoyed their strong coffee! Outside seating area waiting for you curious caffeine fiend.:)
